The staff here is wonderful, especially Brenda. I've lived at Woodcliff for four years and truly enjoy being part of this community. Overall, the experience has been excellent, though additional Parcel Pending lockers and more guest parking would be helpful. At times, when lockers are full, carriers leave packages on the mailroom floor, which can be stressful. Today, while I was at work, I panicked about an important delivery and called the front office. Brenda helped locate my package and even placed it into Parcel Pending for safekeeping until I got home. I'm incredibly grateful for her kindness and support. The team here is fantastic, and I hope Moss & Company continues to bring in staff members like her. read more

Brenda and the team in the leasing office is amazing. They receive 5 stars and are so amazing at their job. Brenda is so helpful and helped me switch units when one I had just moved into had a roach problem. However, despite Brenda and the amazing workers in the leasing office, there has been a mail room break in where my girlfriends anniversary present was stolen, construction leaving 90% of the property besides the parking garage inaccessible, and the fact that construction won't be done for around two years. That's two years where I can't walk around the pool area and bbq area that I paid a hefty price for. Brenda, and the other workers in the leasing office all deserve a 5 star, but the complex itself, and the situation there is a 2 star. What's the point of paying an expensive price tag for amenities you can't use for two years and to have your packages stolen? read more

I've lived in the building about little over a year now. Back in September, my unit flooded and I needed to move while the water damage was fixed. Alisa, Carlos and the maintenance crew were helpful and kind each step of the chaos. Alisa helped vacuum out the water from my apartment and helped me protect my valuables before the water got to them the night of the incident. Carlos and his maintenance crew came and they were able to clear the water within 2 hours. Carlos and Alisa also stayed with me until everything was done and cleared that night which was really appreciated on such a stressful night. With in the week, Alisa and Carlos found me a vacant unit to temporarily house me and helped by hiring movers for my belongings. Alisa called me each time there was an update or change which reassuring and supportive. The construction took some time so in total it was about 2 months before I was settled back into my unit. As unexciting this whole situation was, I was so appreciative of having Alisa and Carlos be so helpful and kind each interaction. It's people like Carlos and Alisa who make living in a bigger building like Woodcliff feel more personal and cared for. I really couldn't be more thankful and appreciative of such a great team. read more

I reported 3 days ago a dead squirrel lying on the floor in the dog park. It is still yet to be picked up and now is being eaten by maggots and continues to rot . When I went to the office, they told me they don't have Maintenance over the weekend when I said why can't you call pest control? They started yelling at me. Whatever you do, DO NOT live here!!!! The management is incompetent and the facilities are regularly broken and damaged and in many cases pose serious safety risks. One of the grilles by the pool, is broken with the pilot cracked when I was using it, it caught on fire and would not go out. I call the emergency number to let them know about this so that the fire did not spread, but the person who answered didn't speak English and know what a "fire" was . She was unable to unsee what was happening and where I was!!!! Fortunately I was able to put out the fire and I waiting for it to go away. Otherwise the whole complex would have burned down!!!!!! Don't live here dont live here DONT LIVE HERE!!! Since I moved in it's been a waking nightmare!! Roaches! Flooding! The last straw is this morning there's been an alarm blaring outside my room and they said they can't do anything because they're dealing with the EIGHT other units that have flooded!! This is the second time! You wanna know why they're flooding? Cuz they're doing a MASSIVE CONSTRUCTION project on the building which they didn't tell me or my roommate about prior to us moving in. If it wasn't such a hassle I'd be taking action. If you call they won't even help you unless you leave a written request. My package got stuck in a cubby, I called them, the EMERGENCY line btw, and the said they would do something but they didn't even call me back or anything! One of the front desk people is incredibly rude as well. I told him a package had been dropped off at the desk and he laughed and said there wasn't anything. I pointed to the literal package sitting next to him, he glanced at it and said there was nothing. Luckily his supervisor came over and looked at it and it HAD MY NAME ON IT LIKE??? Also the gym equipment is old, some of it's completely unusable. There's a million problems here, I'm so depressed from living here and I can't wait to move out. read more

No action being taken on maintenance request. Same issues keep coming back. Garbage disposal in the sink must have stopped at least 6/7 times in last 8/9 months and they claim to fix it, it works for a while and then stops again. Paying extra for parking on an EV spot and that charger is broken 5 times in last 5 months for weeks at a time. This is in addition to paying the charging vendor monthly fees plus the fees per kWh. This time it's been broken since beginning of the month (now 25 days). Response from the management is they are working with the vendor and the vendor says management isn't even responding. Water pressure in the bathtub is half of what it was when I first moved in and the temperature control is non-existent. Multiple complains and same on-going issues. They charged extra on my utility bill despite agreeing 7 months ago that charge was incorrect. Took me 7 months, multiple phone calls and emails to get that charge removed. Everytime they claim it's done, it still shows up on the bill. This time they claim the same thing, I haven't got the next month's bill yet. Half the time, the maintenance request just disappears from their portal without any action. You have to keep re-creating it for them to take an action. Absolutely frustrated, even after paying high rents, you don't get basic services. DO NOT live here, they will drive you frustrated, probably to get you to move out and get higher rent from new person since this is rent controlled building. No email responses from management, they just don't want to do their job. They act like a complete non-functional bureaucracy, if you have a X problem there is only person who can answer that and that person would work like 2 days in the week, only for few hours. If you miss that window, good luck! Wait for the next week. read more

This management is a nightmare. After having numerous issues while living there, now they are giving me a hard time while moving out. I was suppose to pay 4 days of rent for Aug since my move out date on my one month notice was 4th August. Their payment processing company charged me for full month of rent even though as soon as they posted it I removed my autopay and let them know and asked not to process it. Had to make numerous calls to Domuso, Woodcliff and my bank. Woodcliff agreed to refund, Domuso sends me a confirmation email on Tue. Charge goes away from my account, but on Friday it appears again. Domuso claims it's the property, I call the property they say they can't do anything about it, it's out their hand. I will get my money back after 1-1.5 months after the process my move out deposit etc. So they just going to keep my money taken illegally for a month while I pay rent at my new place. My monthly expense this month has been rent for two places, closing in on 9k on my credit card. The entire process has been a nightmare and still no resolution in sight even though it was resolved. 90% of the time on the call they say the person who deals with this only comes on Monday or Wednesday at certain time slot. Rest of the time nobody can even help with any issues. Hopefully I never have to deal with this management ever again. It has been frustrating and so stressful. read more

Woodcliff is a great place to live because it is in the middle of culver city. It has great walking distance to many resturaunts. A few downsides to living here 1. there is very little parking. Having guests over is nearly impossible if they need to park a car 2. They say they have storage units on property for you to add onto your monthly cost. but you will never get one. read more

We almost moved in here, but ended up going with another property within Moss. There's so many perks to living here, pools, gym, outdoor grills, great views from the rooftop units, and even a sauna. It's a very central area, super convenient to a lot of different places within LA. Ray, the property manager there, was exceptionally helpful and went out of his way to help us in our search. Very responsive management as a whole, as other people were very helpful. Although we didn't end up moving in, I know from firsthand experience touring the property, and a friend who currently lives there, that it's a great place. It was such a large unit for a good value for the location too. read more

Can't believe what I've had to deal with living here. Absolutely toxic building. If it's not the asbestos in the walls (this complex was built in 1973), it's leaking water thru the walls, and then mold because this complex is built like shit. Look for wall bubbles and musty smells in the hallways. if it's not that, then it's the overload of chemicals used to "clean" the non-ventilated hallways and amenities. Plus the termite rot and water damaged wood clearly visible on all of the outside of the building, not to mention IN my walls, contributing to loose ceiling floorboard noise from upstairs. Have put in like 10 maintenance requests within just 7 months of living here, not including complaints to the leasing "staff". The maintenance staff does do what they can (even though they're pretty unresponsive), but it's the people in the leasing office that are incompetent imbeciles. Unfortunately I was out of state and couldn't view this place in person. If I did, I absolutely would not have chosen to live here. read more

As we all know out city street gutters leave a lot to de desired (standing water, leaves, trash and who knows what). It was so lovely yesterday to drive past,into and around my apt complex and see the gutters had been swept and picked up. Honestly, Woodcliff apartments was a godsend. Their management team always went above and beyond on any task we had for them and made sure that all our needs were met promptly and fully. This is our first year living here and we have met amazing people that we can now proudly call family. The best part about this place is that there's something for everyone, no matter if you're a family with children, college student, or senior citizen. The amenities the apartment complex has are also incredible and are kept up to date. If something is broken, simply submit a maintenance request and watch it be fixed in no time. Finally, the apartment is situated in such a key location, you're basically 15 minutes away from Santa Monica, Venice Beach, and Marina del Rey (including Costco!!!). Ultimately, I lived some of the best moments of my life in this place. I had a blast living here during this last year and have no doubt I'll be extending my lease. I've lived in this apartment complex for over a decade and it's a lovely community. There are useful facilities like a gym and a couple pools that are nice. The different community programs like yoga and food trucks really elevate the place. I've only had good communications with staff but Alisa always goes above and beyond and is receptive to programs and ideas to continue to better the community. Our car was broken into and robbed from within the gated parking garage, after a previous robbery attempt that led to all the garage openers being changed. For a short time there was additional security but that has since gone away hence the opportunity for our car to be burglarized. We have notified management three times with zero response. We will be moving out at the end of next month. Would strongly recommend you to look elsewhere and avoid all Moss & Company properties generally as well as Woodcliff specifically. read more

I would give this apartment Zero stars if I could. I moved in here with my husband a couple years ago and the staff was great and maintenance got the job done. Over the years, the staff has changed and the apartment maintenance has really gone down hill. The front office staff don't help out much at all, and just pass on information and don't really care whether your issue is fixed or not. We have had to deal with so many issues over the past couple months. There was a sudden increase in cockroaches in the building and in the apartment. They were in the laundry room, trash shoot, coming out of walls inside the apartment no matter how thoroughly the place was cleaned. I called multiple times to report it and it took over a month to completely get rid of them. I had to call so many times to say that there are still roaches coming out of the walls to get it fixed. Next, the floor board and toilet. It rained and the floor board by the toilet was filling up with water. I reported the issue a while back, the maintenance came and patched it up and never fully fixed it. It's raining again now and the floor board is over flowing, the toilet was leaning forward and the shower side paste is completely out now. I told the maintenance and front staff multiple times that it gets worse with rain and a storm is coming. They still didn't fix the floor boards and now the water is leaking out. I tried the maintenance emergency number and it rings once and hangs up. The EMERGENCY LINE is a JOKE and does not work. I even called to leave a message for the office and it says leave a message or " in case of emergency... " and it cuts out and does not give instructions. Now I need to wait till 9 am in morning for a staff member to be present and we need to keep changing pads/ cleaning bathroom floor through out the night. We also almost slipped in the bathroom as well Because of the water. The mail room was broken into in December and our mail is broken. Called multiple times to ask when will it be fixed. First got a response of " I don't know or I'm not sure " so many times from the front staff and it's February now and the mail room is still not fixed! The response is it will get fixed and " we're working on it." The weather got really cold and our wall heater isn't working. The maintenance staff changed it out and still doesn't work. So they brought a portable heater instead. My husband's car almost was broken into. We reported it to the front office and they said to email the Woodcliff company. Sent out and we email and NEVER got a response back. We also mentioned the broken mailbox and Never got a response back. The elevator breaks down half the time and the building is never in a hurry to fix it! They just don't care. The only thing they care about is renting out empty apartments and once you sign the lease they don't care anymore. This building always just tries to patch things up rather than fully fixing the actual problems. It is so disappointing and frustrating. Instead of promoting yoga Saturday, donut Thursday, and food truck Wednesday, actually spend time and FIX the Issues of the building! read more

The management gave up on many issues in this old complex. The mail box key is broken more than a month and we all have to go to nearby post office to pick up our mails. The management just put the flyer in the elevator saying the post office was responsible to fix it and don't know when...Why don't they keep pushing them to fix it then!? Everything here is old and falling apart. After the pandemic, a lot less maintenance crew are working and we see trash here and there. So sad. read more

It's hard to find an apartment complex that has very nice touches of nature. Not just small patches of green, but trees and creeks throughout the apartment. I locked in the 2 month free deal in 2020, and it made this place such a steal for what it was. Prices have gone up a fair amount since then. I do wish that the kitchens were bigger in the non-renovated unit that I was in. I noticed some of the lower level floor plans barely get a good amount of light. I was on the 2nd floor which meant I had a decent amount of light coming in, but the winter days would be darker. Having the leasing office on site everyday was nice! Sometimes you need to push the staff to get whatever you need done but couldn't complain for what it was. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Please do not be fooled by the pretty flowers, trees, and pools outside. I know I was. This place is disgusting. Biggest mistake of 2023 was moving into this apartment. I've only been living here for a month and it's been an absolute nightmare. I'm looking to move out immediately!! I've had two of my packages stolen in the last 5 days. According to my neighbors, "packages are stolen all the time here" The apartment management doesn't have a brain to figure out a better package delivery system. I've lived in larger apartments with way more units than this and my packages were never stolen/lost so what's the issue here at Woodcliff? When your packages are stolen/lost prepare for management to just shrug their shoulders and say "There's nothing we can do about it" I haven't had a good nights sleep since moving in here because you can hear everything through these paper thin walls. EVERYTHING. The plumbing is awful. The sound of screeching, old, rumbling pipes keep me up at night. Of course management says there's nothing they can do about that either. They do nothing. Good luck if you have an overweight person living above you with children like I do. Sounds like sumo wrestling matches are going on at all times above me. The parking situation is a sh*t show. I'd rather spend an extra $200/ month to live somewhere cleaner, nicer, and safer. Lesson learned here. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Live somewhere else! read more

I have lived at Woodcliff for many years. I love the property, the amenities (which get better all of the time) and the location. Everyone is friendly in the management office and the maintenance office, and I find that they respond quickly. Alyssa, in the management office, has been very helpful to me. She brought the grocery delivery man to my apartment so I could get my groceries delivered when I broke my knee and couldn't walk or drive. I was so grateful for her help. read more

If you're lured in by the beautifully maintained grounds and all the "amenities," as someone who lived at Woodcliff over a year, let me give you the "insider" perspective. 2 pools = totally full any time you'd want to use a pool. Oh -- and half the time, the pools are inexplicably closed for "maintenance" reasons. And for Ms. Susan's clarification, the pools being open and available when most people are at work doesn't help? Why would I pay a community fee for something I cannot access when I am home (weekends, late afternoons)...? Grills? Between April and October, basically unavailable - and bring your own matches because lighting them requires a feat (and for clarification for Ms. Susan, they're gas and the electric starter thing is perpetually damaged, removed, or the sparking mechanism is there, the battery inside is dead). To any LGBTQ people, be warned that our door was vandalized with hate speech THREE times. The first time, the office staff person kept referring to my partner as my "friend" until I finally had to correct her. The second time, they offered to move us to an apartment that had a ton more foot traffic. The third time, they repainted over the vandalism so poorly even the head of maintenance made a comment when he came by to do our exit inspection. When we moved, I tried to have a conversation with the property manager about how UNSAFE their complex was for us as a queer couple. Ms. Susan never bothered to return any of my calls or messages. But she's great about Yelp reviews so maybe try that? Finally, the office staff turnover rate is INSANE. So even though there are gems (Christian!) among the army of incompetent workers, they inevitably leave and you have to start dealing with staff who barely know what they're doing all the time. read more

couple things about this place! if your sending an application: When you submit an application know that if your unit becomes unavailable your application will then turn to the next available unit. I submitted an application for a unit and it suddenly said it was for another unit that's above my budget. This apartment complex is terrible. We looked at the units online and were amazed by the photos and how affordable the units seemed. It all made sense as soon as we showed up. This whole complex is so incredibly outdated and dark and musky. We had looked at the one bedroom with loft and the unit looked absolutely nothing like what they have shown online and I have a hard time believing any of the units shown online even exist. These units looks like they have not been touched since the 80's with terrible fixtures and popcorn ceilings. All I can say is don't waste your time even coming to tour. read more

The problems of this community really come in two flavors - the other residents and management's thirst for profit. Unless you love the smell of marijuana smoke, stay far away. The airtight hallways, thin walls, and unsealed doorways let a lot of smoke into your home. I smelled smoke multiple times each day and decided that enough was enough and moved out. Also there have been thefts and breakins on the property to such a degree that all the keys were changed out. Way too many people smoking and stealing. And then there is management, who will tell you the property is "rent controlled", but do everything they can to charge above market rent. read more

*This review is for the leasing office/experience. I do not live here. Alisa is awesome. Before I even set foot in LA, Alisa showed my friend the apartments that were available so I was able to get an unofficial video tour that way! When I went to see the apartments in person, Alisa was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Whether it was helping me take measurements, showing me an apartment again so I could compare/contrast better, or literally lying on the floor so we could see if my queen bed would work in one spot, she went above and beyond throughout the whole experience. I was most drawn to their newly updated apartments. And knowing Alisa was so prompt and accommodating made it even more appealing. Ultimately I wanted a place that was in more of a walkable area. Although, Trader Joe's 10 minutes away which is pretty cool. And a 7-Eleven is right there if you need something quick. This is a great spot for someone who doesn't mind being in an area with less foot traffic. They have a pool and gym as well. But Alisa can show you all that when you visit! ;) read more

Been living here for almost six years, and love the community atmosphere. The people who work here are wonderful, and the amenities are very good. Pros: * The flowers are watered every morning & the outside community areas are always clean. * Everyone who works here greets you with a friendly face. * Tandem parking is an additional $50 but available Cons: * After every shower, you have to leave the air vent running for about 2 hours-- if not, you could grow mold in your bathroom * The draining system here is very poor, especially if you are on the bottom floor. So poor we had a plumber come in 4 times in 3 months. We stopped using our dishwasher and kept our sink empty to prevent more issues. * The walls are very thin. You can hear your neighbor's laugh when they are watching TV. * The maintenance are super friendly but there is poor communication between their manager/ worker. We have had a more than a handful of conflict on when things were scheduled to get done vs. when they get done. (I would go in detail but this would be even longer than necessary) * I've e-mailed maintenance and also had the main office e-mailed them separately & cc'd me to schedule something and never got an answer. Thankfully, we are already moving out so they can fix whatever it is after we move. * If you live in a studio, you have to buy your own microwave. * USPS/ UPS/ anyone who delivers mail & packages needs to get buzzed up to the mailboxes on the 6th, 7th, and 8th floor but often times you see them just drop off the mail outside the main door which is open to anyone waking the sidewalks. If you order something, you have to make sure you check the front of the building DAILY. Just in case. * Also, in a studio, everything is a lot smaller. (Fridge & oven) When we first moved in here, we complained the stove doesn't get very hot. It took us about 30 minutes to boil water in a pot. They checked our stove and said it was fine. So for the duration of our stay, we used a separate electric kettle and boiled water into our pot. * I saw on Yelp that Susan Weisbarth tried her best to fix issues, so I communicate with her when things are wrong but she doesn't try very hard I feel. We had an issue with maintenance coming into our studio apartment when my girlfriend was naked in bed with absolutely NO excuse and the most she did was admit it was an error and gave us $100 credit on our next billing. Of course this is after me e-mailing her a list of issues we were having and I did let her know I was unsatisfied with how she resolved things previously but she didn't respond. Nbd. * After we decided to move out, we decided to clean out our apartment in garbage bags. Later on that night, I found the things I tossed out no longer inside the big dumpster in bags but put aside. Meaning, someone goes through the dumpster Really wished they reduced our rent or comped a month or did something to make it feel like they cared in some way. We moved out three weeks early. We have inspection coming up and I'll update my review to give everyone a heads up on what it's like to leave this facility. Update so far: As friendly as staff is- I'm experiencing a lot of forgetfulness. Whether that be no one is responding to my e-mail, to no one relaying my message to maintenance. I even went to go drop off my keys doing their working hours yesterday and the door was locked. I knocked and no one answered. I ended up leaving my keys on my counter top of the apartment and just left the door unlocked. I sent an e-mail letting them know what happened and still no e-mail back. Idk why they hire so much staff in the front office when no one really does anything. Except Andrea. She's awesome. read more
