But don't go for the interior, go for the amazing food! We stopped on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. They seated us right away and we had our soup with in 5 minutes of ordering. I had egg drop and hubby had hot and sour. They are served hot and perfectly seasoned. Just what you expect . But the egg drop was served with a crispy noodle-like a chow mein noodle. Added some delightful crunch. I had sesame chicken and husband has Mongolian beef. Each meal was served with a crab Rangoon, an egg roll, and choice of rice. Both meals were delicious. The chicken was large chunks of white meat chicken breaded, fried then coated with a delicious sweet and savory thick sauce. So good. The beef dish was just as good - tender strips of beef and lots of sautéed onions. Plus the meals were reasonably priced! They have several options on their lunch menu that were under $12 per person. They do not deliver which also cuts into their business particularly with the hotels by the interstate. I know I'd eat their food more often if they delivered. The decor is very bland and the restaurant is dark. A restaurant with subdued lighting can give a cozy feel, but the decor needs to back that up. The decor seems to be 70s leftovers and the fish tank needs to be drained for the sake of the poor fish living in it. I say that last part as an aquarium enthusiast. Please maintain the tank or give the fish away and sell the tank. The restaurant seems clean and the owner is always very kind. Service is almost always prompt. Phone orders can be difficult if the owner answers because of her accent but we always muddle through. One curious thing is that in a restaurant which only has one front employee you never see the same server twice. The only constant in the front of the house are the owner and the help wanted sign. I do not know why that is. Their fried rice is moist and flavorful. The steamed rice is usually perfectly cooked. I only got dry rice once or twice out of the dozen or so times I have eaten there. The spicy dishes are not spicy at all. If you don't need a tissue to eat it you need to add more spice. When ordering anything spicy I ask for extra, extra spicy and it still isn't very spicy. I enjoy their egg drop soup, their beef n broccoli, their happy family and their shrimp with lobster sauce. All of those are made using good recipes. I would prefer more sauce in most of the dishes especially when I order fried rice because I like adding sauce to the rice. That is probably a quirk specific to me though.
