I'm not huge on a ton of spice in chai, but Canyon makes the perfect amount of sweet and spice! Chocolate Covered Cherry Blended Coffee- This flavor is great in any form, but the blended coffee is my favorite! Mexican Mocha- This one is a great option if you're looking to venture outside your comfort zone! Cherry Garcia- Never disappointed with this one. Super sweet and tangy. While this rural restaurant may not on par with The Original Pancake House, it is the best little breakfast stop we have experienced in Eastern Colorado. Upon entering we were greeted with a friendly smile and a dining area with a pleasant, clean smell that is tidy. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak which came with gravy, two eggs, hash browns and toast. I had the California omelet and chose pancakes to accompany it. All of this came standard with the meals at no additional cost. (Thinking back to a previous customer's review about extra charge for bacon.) Everything we ordered tasted great. No knife was needed to cut the chicken fried steak. A nice touch to our experience was the warm syrup. The wait staff shared the restaurant is almost a month into new management. High five to this manager and we send wishes for much success!

There wasn't even a cup of crappy coffee to be had. The room we had was well worn. The water valves on the shower and bathroom sink barely worked and only with great effort. The front window had a huge crack from top to bottom. About the only good thing I can say about the Sandhiller on June 28, 2025 is that we didn't take home any bedbugs.

The staff was indifferent, despite me being the only customer in the place, but I get that friendly help is hard to find and I don't really go there for the conversation anyway. My 3 stars is due to the fact that the bread, which I normally love, tasted very much like it came from the day old shelf. I think maybe it would be a good idea to ask for the freshest bread in the future.
