I found a place in my Home Town just a couple miles away, Dr. Sanchez. They got us in the day after we called and He did the two extractions within 10 mins of the xrays. I felt zero pain while the shots went in and then not a bit during the entire procedure. Just the force and pushing and pulling of the extraction. We were in and out in under an hour. Unbelievable! We went to multiple Oral Surgeons for consults. I had heard many stories online about the different cultures of offices here in our community. I dived right in. It took me months to decided. It was an investment. Not many Drs are educated in this particular SURGERY!! Ramsey is tho! He is so educated and so YOUNG!! I loved how Ramseys office had a very comfortable vibe to it. I need my widow teeth out URGENTLY (all 4 are impacted) and I made an appointment with them. Initially they gave me a price and I informed them I already had the necessary X-rays for the procedure; they said they'd see and let me know if it would be less later if I still needed another and would need to pay MORE. So I scheduled my appointment and went hopes for the best but when I got there they still tried to make me pay for X-rays and I had to inform them again my dentist had already sent them over and they HAD received them. After this they wanted to schedule my surgery (pre-approval). I asked to wait to schedule until approval because they told me if pay $2,000+ and then based on IF it was approved they'd reimburse me. I said no thanks I would just wait cause they informed me it'd be a max of 8 weeks. After over 2 months I sent them several messages via their online website messenger asking to see if it was approved to schedule because I was in so much pain. They didn't bother getting back to me on any of those requests. After that I tried calling and asking if it was approved and they told me NO. When I asked if it'd be possible to check because it'd been so long they told me no and they weren't gonna call or pursue it. They told me to contact my insurance and blamed them. When I called my insurance they informed me that it was approved THE SAME DAY. They also sent them over the information and verified the surgery center had made no effort to contact them after submitting. After this I tried to inform the doctors I had seen about the issues and refusal to help with an APPROVED CLAIM and got no call back or anything. But can't expect much when they also informed me they don't document the calls they take (the secretary was kind enough to inform me, since they didn't log the MULTIPLE calls I made trying to get this appointment because I was in pain. As a result, my out-of-pocket costs for an otherwise covered jaw surgery would exceed $10,000. None of the other surgeons I consulted with assessed similar fees. I am also disappointed by the delays surrounding my imaging refund. In March, I was advised that the imaging costs would be refunded once the insurance claim was processed. I received confirmation is was processed in April. It is now nearly July, and I have been told that it may take an additional 30 to 45 days to receive reimbursement.
