Metropolitan Medical Associates is exactly that place. Everyone from the strong women who volunteer to be escorts at the door to the security guard who feels like the big brother you need, to the most gentle phlebotomist I've ever gotten a blood draw from, all the way to the kind and understanding nurses and doctors. The facility itself could definitely use an upgrade but the staff takes good care of things and makes it work. They welcome questions every step of the way and are incredibly patient and understanding of your needs. I never felt rushed or ignored. From the bottom of my grateful heart, I can't thank all the staff enough for being so incredibly patient and kind with me. I'll never forget how this building full of strangers treated me with such thoughtfulness when I felt my most vulnerable. I can't say I would wish anyone to have to experience this, but to anyone who has to go through this, come to this facility for a judgement-free space that's filled with support for you and your choice as a woman.

They called me in the back with another woman waiting and there was not a lot of privacy. The woman who had taken my blood was rude and not friendly at all. I was put in a room and dilated and then I was told to go back into the waiting room. I started sweating and feeling very odd. I started getting blurry vision and feeling that I was going to vomit. I walked up the woman at the front desk Cindy, and told her I didn't feel good and couldn't see and everything was black. She kept telling me to sit down and wait for the doctor. At that point I had lost all vision, I couldn't see anything and was dizzy and everything was black, while I was sweating badly and very uncomfortable. I went to lay down on the seats in the waiting room and the receptionist didn't even ask if I was ok or check on me. Six minutes later I was called in and the lady had asked if I was okay because I was so pale and gave me an ice pack. She even had someone escort me to make sure I was okay. Cindy the receptionist should not be working in the medical field or in that certain area of medical work if she doesn't want to be bothered or care about the people going there. Especially In that work setting where some woman are very stressed to be there, their job isn't to make it worse. Based on her ALONE I wouldn't go back.

Arrogant, rude, with a complete lack of basic medical bedside manner or even basic people's skills. She spends more time talking about herself than actually listening. And to top it all, after I had discussed with the office manager how unpleasant the doctor and the appointment had been, and that I was never coming back to that practice, she approaches me while I am checking out to try to upsell me their "remote nutritional counseling" service! Healthcare as a for-profit business at its best.

FIRST OFF I'M CUBAN/LATINA HOT AND SPICY ANNND its actually THE OTHER WAY AROUND. I wanted to go in on her, but I would've made her boring little ass cry. She railroads your conversation throughout, and her exam was the fastest and worst ever. Save yourself the time and find a doctor who relates to you and has a softer bedside manner.

WHEN YOU DECIDE TO LEAVE, THEY WILL HOLD YOUR RECORDS HOSTAGE AND THREATEN TO CALL POLICE! HAD TO…read moreCONTACT STATE DEPT. I am completely done with this place! I encourage anybody who values the security of their health records and mental sanity to look elsewhere. The "office manager" Michelle, is Rude, Unprofessional and hostile. She flat out disregards calls, messages and REQUESTS; if you are waiting for a callback, keep waiting, especially if she knows what you are calling about. I have had my Medical Record held HOSTAGE by this practice for over 1 MONTH AND 6 DAYS (and still waiting). I even left multiple messages FOR THE DOCTOR to call me, and they have been disregarded by the doctor, not forwarded to her or never written down. I should have know this place was going to turn into a disaster when the very first office manager suddenly stopped working there, and the patients became fewer and less of a certain demographic. I could only think Michelle be it the reason. I have been lied to about billing, they have thrown in pregnancy tests on my bill, when I never requested one. They do not promptly follow up on lab results, I have waited over 2 WEEKS for what came after 5 days. The doctor merely apologizes for something that required immediate attention, UNACCEPTABLE. I've been lied to by MICHELLE that these falsely billed tests were required for some exams to be performed. I have my medical insurance handling this matter. Dr. Cho's office staff are incompetent, uncertified and unlicensed. You ask them a question about ANYTHING and they tell you they don't know; "I don't know where your records are, I don't know about billing, I don't know when the labs will be in. I don't know where Michelle is, I don't where the doctor is. I just take the calls." WHY ON EARTH would anybody want a bunch of know nothings working for their medical practice. There is a lack of Professionalism, Rapport and Medical Training. Michelle is responsible for patient records, which is a scare fest in itself. Bergen Gynecology really should have a nurse handling medical records or outsource with an agency who manages these. A nurse is knowledgable and competent to answer medical questions, period. I myself had a very open and candid conversation with Dr. Cho at my last appointment, exclaiming to her that her office manager is not someone I care to work with; she is rude and curt on the phone with patients, she is a poor representation of how one in her position should conduct herself and to the reputation of the practice. Hopefully Dr. Cho will realize the disillusionment. But she better Wake Up or her practice will not see longevity. It is not with regret that I am taking my business elsewhere and so should you.

The first time my appointment got canceled and I figured it was my fault or something that went wrong through ZocDoc. The second time I made the appointment and called to confirm it immediately to make sure that it wouldn't be canceled again. Fast forward about a month and the appointment once again gets canceled, this time only a day before I'm supposed to go in so I call immediately. I explain the situation and the woman on the phone is absolutely no help, completely unapologetic, and claims that whoever booked my appointment made a mistake even though I had called to make sure it could be booked. She claims that they had attempted to call me early to try and tell me the appointment was canceled but I go no calls and only found out literally the day before. Wouldn't have been too big of an issue except that I am a college student and am barely home so this was the one day I had free and wouldn't be able to schedule another appointment for two whole months. The women I spoke to offered no explanation and didn't even apologize for this, completely horrible service and was clearly annoyed at me even though I had done nothing to cause this to happen.

I had been a patient of Dr. Weiss for many years, but had not been notified of this change. I found out that she is no longer working at this address from a Google search on 3-5-26. I believe it would have been courteous to have her practice notify her patients, including me, of this change.

After sifting through…read morethe many many reviews of what appears to be minimal and Grade B/C physicians, I discovered Nofit Weiss. She had the highest reviews, takes my insurance, and seems to provide excellent bedside manner (which is almost close to impossible to find these days). Guess Medical School has some work to do in that dept., MEDICAL SCHOOL DEANS and/or Admission Directors reading this review remember -- Rapport is also apart of the job. Anyhoo, I called and made an appointment with Dr. Weiss, whom is extremely over booked, I had to wait nearly two months to meet with her. And then when I did, I had to cancel and reschedule. But it worked out and I was able to get in to see her. She has a small little office inside a one-level office bldg, across from the tracks in Englewood. The waiting room furniture was out-dated and unpleasant to the eye and very dimly lit, border line dark. Inside the examination rooms, which was small, and had this old clunky white wicker chair, was very ugly and odd that you would find it in a exam room -- it belongs on her patio or deck. Anyhow, I digress... She is very nice, down-to-earth, sorta has this disshoveled look; late 40s, full figured jewish woman, with thick full messy hair with her glasses on top her head, and wears her medical scrubs (not un-normal). She has a dry sense of humor, works well with mine lol. As for thoroughness - she asks all the questions and maybe even twice, to jog your memory if you are having a "senior moment". But what I didn't like was, I sent 20 pages worth of medical information. All her questions could have been answered if she reviewed them before our meeting. It would be nice, for once, if a doctor was up to speed on their patient walking in the door. Quality vs Quantity; Quality always wins in my book. But Money always prevails. She gets a 3 - 3.5 out of 5 stars. Ms. Janet Ross in NOLA still has my loyalty. Ms. Ross always called me personally, and if she was in surgery or delivery, her assistants did. I'm just one of those ppl who likes to hear the results from the doctor, just incase I have questions. Nobody likes to wait for a callback.
