I recommend using their valet as it saves you ample time. Once inside the staff were extremely helpful telling me exactly where I needed to go and which elevators and turns to make. Visiting my grandmother was easy and extremely pleasant. The new rooms are laid out extremely well as they have bathrooms, ample chairs, and a bench that turns into a bed for overnight guests as well.

Dr Michael Pitter (RIP) was my Doctor who performed this masterful work. The nursing staff was simply divine with their TLC, compassion and professionalism kindness towards me. I was preparing to have my Mammogram and Ultrasound done. However, I was informed by my scheduler at Columbia Doctors that I needed my images from my last mammogram (2014) with Hackensack University Medical Center. Today, nothing has changed with the remarkable, caring, positive staffers, that give TLC as their standard. A professional body of heartwarming staff at Hackensack University Medical Center. I called and requested my images. They returned the call the next day, and my images and report were ready. I drove to NJ, got my ticket stamped for free parking from the Breast Cancer Screening Center. Dropped off my images to Columbia Doctors on West 51st Street in the heart of Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall (so cool). At the end of the movie, it was a joyous experience that made me feel truly gratefully happy and cared for by Hackensack University Medical Center and Columbia Doctors/NY Presbyterian Hospital. Mister's dad needed emergency back surgery on Christmas Eve and our experience at this hospital…read morecould not have been better. The surgery itself took about an hour and then they monitored him for 3 hours. After that he was ready to go home! Not only was it quick, I feel like there was always a nurse coming in to check in on him or offer us something. I loved when our nurse said it was a super busy Christmas Eve night in the hospital. I barely saw anyone in the halls! Any other hospital I've been to most of the time I'm in the hallway on a stretch because they don't have enough rooms. This place definitely took care of him and made every minute he was there as pleasant as possible. Even though we were only there for a few hours, they offered us plenty of chairs and their nourishing room which had snacks and drinks. I mean really, it doesn't get better. It's way out of the way for me but if you're in this area this is the hospital to go to.

I simply called to verify that the order had been received before making the trip to the laboratory. Instead of receiving a straightforward answer, I was met with a patronizing response: "Listen, I know you work here, but..." Whether I work for the hospital or not is irrelevant. As a patient, I was calling with a legitimate question and expected to be treated with the same courtesy, professionalism, and respect afforded to every other patient. A simple confirmation of whether the order had been received would have been sufficient. I hope this feedback is taken constructively so that future interactions reflect the level of professionalism patients should expect from the laboratory staff. Got a locker and a very soft white spa robe. Ugly grey rubber grip socks, though. Someone should consult on those. Maybe add some butterflies or fun colors? The staff, nurses and techs were friendly. They explained the procedures clearly and were patient with my questions. The MRI schedule was running a little behind so I was treated to extra warm blankets while I waited. Turns out, MRI's aren't that bad. Had my eyes closed so I didn't mind the tight space. The random banging is only slightly annoying. I couldn't hear the music through the headphones, so I would request it to be louder next time. The IV needle was the worst part. Once they removed it, I was fine, and was on my way. There's plenty of parking, and a gift shop if you need basic things.

We go first thing in the morning and hate to start of the day being treated this way, MSK has huge posters everywhere saying "be kind" so maybe they should check of the first POC who is valet. We have seen him treat white people nice and friendly. So it this him being the big R? Awful experience! My husband can't walk much otherwise we would just park in visitor parking.
