The Occupational and Physical Therapy is excellent. Nurses are wonderful and caring. The Aids are amazing! Never heard one staff member say "that's not my job!" Respiratory staff very helpful. Plenty of activities and goodies. They care for the entire health of the patient. I will highly recommend to my friends and relatives. read more

Happy to be here. Of course I'm not happy to be here because of my injury however the place is misleading. Very different orientation to care, however the staff makes you feel comfortable. In all honesty the food has been both bad and good hardly any time in the middle. I had a nice meal of string beans roast beef and potatoes tonight they were very good. And you do have options. The males I had I didn't like well also meals I did not order because when I came in I was too sick to fill out the paperwork. Although it's not set up for specifically rehab it's more of a nursing home however you get very thorough rehabilitation care. Good physical therapy read more

My husband is there for Rehab, but, for now I can't see him. SO...i tried to drop off things he needs. you leave it at the front desk, and it takes HOURS FOR ANYTHING TO BE BROUGHT TO HIM!! THEY DON'T CARE!!! IT'S NOT RIGHT!!! They can't send someone down, for 5 minutes, to give it to him??? REALLY??? And the switchboard just rings, and rings, no one answers. my sister was admitted for rehab after having an aortic aneurysm in another state while on vacation. she had surgery and they repaired the valve and was doing good, then they transferred her to care one for rehab the end of september she was on a walker got up to being on the bike doing good. didnt have an appetite but did eat.. then suddenly on oct 7 her blood pressure plumeted meanwhile her heart stopped. on the way to englewood hospital she passed away. this is such a shock to the family and we dont know what happened. her husband doesnt want to push it because he is devastated and said cant bring her back. she didnt get a clot because she was on blood thinners. i want to know why and what happened.. no answers. for that reason i would never recommend this place for a loved one read more

Mixed feelings. My dad was there for only 2 days and the staff were so pleasant. My low star rating is because of the nursing supervisor and the billing office. The nursing supervisor kept telling me that it was impossible to get my dad discharged. 2 phone calls later and I was able to get my dad discharged. Not AMA, actually discharged by the on call physician. He looked tired and stressed and I'm willing to take that into consideration....if we were co-workers. I work in healthcare and I get it. It wears you down. This business is not for everyone. The billing office is extra frustrating because I just want to go over a bill. I've left a dozen messages and I've called several times over the last 2 months. I haven't received a single call back. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. My grandmother was going here for therapy after getting hip surgery; the nursing staff is a bunch of clueless hourly employees who don't have the proper credentials to nurse people properly. My grandmother was supposed to be wearing compression socks which one of the staff employees took it off; shortly after during her session he was dizzy and fainted then rushed to englewood hospital (their reasoning for that it was near by). While on the ambulance my grandmother passed away. This could of all been prevented if this facility had trained individuals who worked their not a under qualified staff who is their to collect a pay check. Do not take anyone to this location; for any type of treatment. I'm in the process of legal action because after doing my research this isn't the first occurrence that took place at this facility. Find another facility. My Mom just finished her 4th trip through there. The first 3 tines we were pleased, however this last stay was a disaster. Their physician overdosed her on Oxy which was our starting point. We had full time aides with her who by law can only assist the staff not provide care, yet any request for care was met with the response "what would you do at home when you are alone". I could go on but the bottom line is if you don't have an Advocate on site daily expect the patients to be ignored and only get the basics. read more

I am a success story from Care One at Cresskill. I went in there unable to walk and perform self-care tasks and I came out walking without anything! The therapists are awesome and the nurses are caring. I'm very satisfied with my care. I would definitely recommend this rehab facility. They are amazing! read more

This was my 2nd time coming here. I had back surgery and stayed for almost a month. The main reason I went here was for the physical therapy department. They are terrfic therapists. Stacey. Petros were my primary therapists but Sandra, Omar, Doug, and the rest of the department were courteous and very helpful to me. Donna at the front desk was very pleasant and listened to my concerns, addressed them and even had a newspaper delivered to my room everyday. Can't say the same for the person in the paperwork process, she was rude and curt in my opinion. She (Miss L.) should get a refresher course on how to talk to a patient. My nurses, tall and shorter Charles, Peter, Tina, Karen, to name a few were very good. Mr. Kim and Carlos took care of my needs, made sure I had clean towels, ice water etc. which was most appreciated. The kitchen does it best to make you happy. To wrap it up, I go here to get better and Care One in Cresskill does just that. read more

Even though I would have rather been home, the nursing staff, aids, PT's, front office, kitchen staff, cleaning staff were all excellent, friendly & the doctors knew their business...& the personal interest was on a family level...Ri & Jose in Activities made things fun...having the freedom to roam the facility to either visit friends & other patients was a perk that hospitals don't have...also, being able to go outside to get some air was refreshing...another month, if someone said I wasn't home, I'd have said they were lying...strong relationships were definitely made & would look forward to returning if I had to! Also, with the facility in the vicinity of Englewood Hospital, known worldwide for being the premier institute for bloodless medicine, Care One is an ideal location for patients who are Jehovah's Witnesses recovering & rehabilitating from various injuries, surgeries, & conditions. read more

I cannot begin to tell you people if you are not able to stay with the person your are admitting 24/7 to this place then do not do it. The staff is horrible. They ignore everyone including themselves. You can buzz until you are blue. If you are having a heart attack well then consider yourself dead. Everyone is in their own "little world". The only one I would give a thumbs up to are the physical therapists they were the only ones who seemed to have a heart. My mom was there for therapy for a broken femur in her thigh. My mom too is now back in the hospital due to an unrelated medical condition which was ignored and attributed to just being "gas" even though we told them the size of her belly was abnormal. After many suppositories, and her complaints of severe abdominal pain and "many days" and by some miracle our cries for help were heard, a doctor arranged for her to get out of there. She had immediate surgery and is now recovering. She will not be going back to Care One Dunroven Cresskill, N.J. FAMILY & FRIENDS BEWARE... read more

May dad who suffered from hip surgery had the opportunity of staying in the new wing area of care one more than once and found it to be a very friendly experience! The staff has gonna above and beyond in helping with getting whatever it was needed to make his stay a comforting experience. During his first stay he was here for over a month and really became attached to the PT Dept, nurses, administrators, and Aids! Upon hearing the frustrating news of having to have revision hip surgery only 3 months after his initial surgery he enthusiastically requested I call his "new pals" at care one immediately to hold a room for his return! As a family member, you can't imagine the comfort of this kind of request knowing he feels happy and safe in such a facility! It really did help soften the blow of having to have revision surgery knowing he would have the opportunity to see his new friends again! They have welcomed him here with such love and open arms which I will be forever grateful to everyone at care one from holy name hospital to Care one Cresskill for everything they have done for my dad!!
