I discussed with my husband that we should change doctor as this was our first pregnancy and it had complications. I also wanted someone that is more caring as this was a very important part of our life, but my husband believed she had great professionalism, confidence, and experience. I am so glad I listen to him as Dr. Vikner helped us delivered three successful babies. The first pregnancy was a singleton and second pregnancy was twins. During the twin labor, she went above and beyond her role as a doctor. Our labor started past midnight, our first twin came out naturally within the hour. The second baby refused to come out due to her position. As many doctors would normally take the easier route, and earn more money by performing a C-section, instead, she demanded the hospital nurses, the anesthetic, and her team to wait over an hour for the second twin to come out naturally. We are very grateful for Dr. Lin. If you looking for the friendly doctor we suggest going somewhere else but if you are looking for someone to make sure your health of you and your baby is her main concern then we highly recommend Dr. Vikner. I also want to thank you for the nurse, Maria. She is very friendly and warm. I have very small veins so it has been difficult to draw blood. She always drew it quickly and painlessly.

I had been a patient of Dr. Weiss for many years, but had not been notified of this change. I found out that she is no longer working at this address from a Google search on 3-5-26. I believe it would have been courteous to have her practice notify her patients, including me, of this change.

She had the highest reviews, takes my insurance, and seems to provide excellent bedside manner (which is almost close to impossible to find these days). Guess Medical School has some work to do in that dept., MEDICAL SCHOOL DEANS and/or Admission Directors reading this review remember -- Rapport is also apart of the job. Anyhoo, I called and made an appointment with Dr. Weiss, whom is extremely over booked, I had to wait nearly two months to meet with her. And then when I did, I had to cancel and reschedule. But it worked out and I was able to get in to see her. She has a small little office inside a one-level office bldg, across from the tracks in Englewood. The waiting room furniture was out-dated and unpleasant to the eye and very dimly lit, border line dark. Inside the examination rooms, which was small, and had this old clunky white wicker chair, was very ugly and odd that you would find it in a exam room -- it belongs on her patio or deck. Anyhow, I digress... She is very nice, down-to-earth, sorta has this disshoveled look; late 40s, full figured jewish woman, with thick full messy hair with her glasses on top her head, and wears her medical scrubs (not un-normal). She has a dry sense of humor, works well with mine lol. As for thoroughness - she asks all the questions and maybe even twice, to jog your memory if you are having a "senior moment". But what I didn't like was, I sent 20 pages worth of medical information. All her questions could have been answered if she reviewed them before our meeting. It would be nice, for once, if a doctor was up to speed on their patient walking in the door. Quality vs Quantity; Quality always wins in my book. But Money always prevails. She gets a 3 - 3.5 out of 5 stars. Ms. Janet Ross in NOLA still has my loyalty. Ms. Ross always called me personally, and if she was in surgery or delivery, her assistants did. I'm just one of those ppl who likes to hear the results from the doctor, just incase I have questions. Nobody likes to wait for a callback.

I was a little over five months pregnant when Dr. Daniel Hakimi recommended an amniocentesis due to…read morevery minor kidney congestion in the fetus. He reassured me it was routine and "no big deal," comparing it to drawing blood. At no point did he explain the risks. He urged us to proceed immediately and even tried to schedule it on the spot. My husband and I were not cautioned of any dangers. I was asked to sign the consent form while lying on the exam bed, moments before the procedure. I had no time to review the documents properly. Later, I discovered that Dr. Hakimi falsely documented in my medical record that we were advised to seek genetic counseling, which never happened. The procedure was done in the morning, and I soon felt unwell. By the following day, my condition worsened. I called his office repeatedly but could not reach him directly. Eventually, his PA called back, dismissing my symptoms as normal and casually saying I could go to the hospital if I wished. By mid-afternoon, I began experiencing rhythmic contractions. My husband and I rushed to the hospital. That night, I went through 12 hours of painful labor, followed by an epidural and then a C-section. During the C-section, Dr. Hakimi severed both of my main uterine arteries, causing massive internal bleeding. I required 10 units of blood and a second surgery to permanently block both arteries. I was placed on a ventilator for two days. Our baby was delivered via C-section two days after the amniocentesis but tragically passed away only nine hours later. An independent third-party review revealed: The amniocentesis was unnecessary. Minor kidney congestion is not a valid reason to risk such an invasive procedure, and the results later confirmed our baby was perfectly healthy. Dr. Hakimi misdiagnosed placenta previa. Hospital staff disagreed, but he refused to listen. This error led to an unnecessary C-section instead of allowing natural birth. The C-section itself was botched, with two arteries severed, nearly killing me. These three errors--an unnecessary procedure, a false diagnosis, and a surgical mistake--cost us our child's life and left me permanently scarred. Throughout recovery, Dr. Hakimi showed no sympathy or accountability. When I reported severe pain, he dismissively said, "No one has ever complained about this much pain before." He downplayed everything that happened, and we only learned the truth by consulting other doctors. Eighteen months later, I still suffer complications both physically and emotionally. After the ordeal, when we requested copies of our medical records, Dr. Hakimi personally called demanding a final $600 payment before he would release them. The charge was largely tied to the very amniocentesis that led to our daughter's death. Only after my husband threatened to sue did he relent. The timeline underscores the negligence: labor began Thursday night, the C-section was done Friday morning, and afterward Dr. Hakimi simply left. He did not return until late Saturday night, more than 24 hours later, as if nothing had happened. I had just come off the ventilator when I asked where he had been and how he could abandon me in such crisis. His response: "I already told you that you have to pay the concierge service if you want me to stay overnight at the hospital." To say something so callous after nearly killing me and costing my baby's life is beyond comprehension. Shortly after, Hackensack Hospital froze his rights to work there due to repeated unprofessional conduct, with our case being the final straw. I spent eight days in the hospital before being discharged. Just two days later, while we were still grieving and I was still recovering, Dr. Hakimi called our home frantically 7-10 times in one day. He said his hospital privileges had been suspended and asked us to write a letter of support for him. To approach a patient for help who had just buried her child and barely survived his mistakes is unconscionable. Dr. Hakimi not only cost me my baby--he nearly cost me my life. He stole my healthy young years and my peace of mind and left permanent trauma. His negligence, dishonesty, and lack of compassion have caused devastating, irreversible damage. I am sharing this review to warn others and to hopefully spare another woman from enduring what I did.

His gentle care and absolute altruism with Mom was remarkable as many doctors today rush the elderly and virtually dismiss their concerns. Doc was able to diagnose her posing problem and prescribe a regimen to remediate her pain. But not only was he so very benevolent to her, he took me into his office to explain her condition and the detailed treatment to follow, ensuring that we both understood the prognosis. It is indeed appalling to find a woman's bizarre complaint about the formation of a keloid after her surgery and staple removal. Had she conducted the appropriate medical research, she would have noted that this was the sole response of her own body's production. This would be akin to my placing blame on my breast surgeon for the axillary web syndrome (cording), a result of scar tissue forming a painful cord after cancer surgery. Mom is now changing gynecologists to continue with this extraordinary man and medical expert!

Having worked in the medical field for many years, I know that staples are typically used for geriatric or obese patients, not for someone in their 30s with no medical indication. I never imagined a doctor would choose this option for me without any explanation or consent. The result was devastating. The scar left behind by these staples was horrific, barbaric, and completely unnecessary. My surgery alone cost over $18,000, and yet the care I received fell far below basic expectations. I absolutely do NOT recommend this doctor. Please ask questions, advocate for yourself, and don't assume every provider will choose the best or most appropriate method for you. My experience left me with a permanent reminder of a decision I was never informed about.
