Came in for a biopsy because of a growth in my breast. Was sent by Florida cancer down the street. They promised me this guy was good n was going to take care of my situation. First thing out his mouth is he ain't doing the biopsy but just like every other doctor that has handle my case. Agrees there's something there in my chest. It's ridiculous how doctors give u faith n then Cut your wings off just cuz. How do u say stupid shit like that to your patients? Either be 100% sure or don't say anything. Came for my annual pap and mammogram, they wouldn't let me get the mamm first then kept me waiting in a gown for an hour and still wouldn't let me get the mamm until the doctor saw me so I had to leave. This office was so much better run when Dr Armas was practicing. read more

I scheduled my appointment today at 4PM. I got there at 3:40PM to check-in. The receptionist told me I have to reschedule since it's my first time being there. I have to schedule a GYN appointment first. What the hell?? I took off work for the appointment. The receptionist said she went to ask the provider and the provider said she can't see me today anyway because she is running behind and her 3:45PM already there. This is bullshit. Why can't they call and tell you that and cancel the appointment. They waited until I drove there then told me they have to reschedule?? It's very unprofessional. No common courtesy. Never had any issues, straight forward about billing. Front desk staff are nice. Quality of care is efficient and equitable. Type of care I received was respectful, effective knowledge and preventative medical advice for better outcome of my situation. Dr. Chamorro feels like a very insensitive and greedy doctor, and the desk staff is extremely rude as well. Chamorro started me on BC due to many issues with my period, and it "happens" to be one of the most expensive ones. After starting it, I stopped having my period at all, and immediately became worried because she did not mention that as a side effect. I called her office three times, and they treated me with a condescending attitude. I explained the issue and all they kept repeating was that I needed to take a pregnancy test. I took three different tests that were all negative... t's been almost 11 months... I'm definitely not expecting... and yet they still kept treating me like I'm dumb. Other people who I know go here have experienced several issues similar to this as well. I suggest finding a different location or maybe even a whole different OBGYN practice. read more

WOMEN BEWARE! I don't review often but I feel compelled to write this one. This place is the absolute worst. I went to them in a time of need and they took advantage of me. I was given a price at each appointment and I paid it. They then proceeded to send me another bill for $700. When I questioned these charges, they told me someone would call me. They never did. I finally spoke to someone named Sherry or Sheryl (after I refused to be seen until this was resolved) who told me she " doesn't care and will let it go to collections." I then spoke with her manager Melanie, who told me they "always do right by women" and she promised to fix it and call me back in a few days. It's been over 2 weeks...What a terrible manager and person. The entire staff is terrible and incompetent. On top of this, the doctors were not great. Talking with other women and doctors, I've learned I did not get the care I should have in my situation. I also waited close to an hour for every appointment. If anything I should be billing them for wasting my time! I would rather die than step foot in that place again. I would advise you go anywhere else! read more

I have been a patient since I was 16 years old and just celebrated my 40th Birthday this year. I have had two children with this practice and, as an RN, have worked alongside many Drs in this practice and went to school with nurses in the office. Many of the nurses attended charity walks when my son was diagnosed with cancer. This is the first time in over 20 years that I've ever felt less than a human with this practice I was basically raised in since they became women's care Florida instead of North Florida obgyn. For the first time, I paid in advance for a scheduled delivery that would occur in the next plan year. At each visit, I paid nearly $400 for over 6 months. After my child was born, I was told I had a nearly $2000 balance. I didn't really understand how it was possible because with my son's cancer bills and a c section delivery, plus everything I paid in advance, surely I had hit my deductible and out of pocket max. The real shocker came when I was denied a medication refill for a chronic condition diagnosed years ago by this office unless I paid my balance in full. I was in complete shock. I have never missed a dose of this medication that was prescribed to me in the years I have been on it. To make things worse, I was also trying to get a prescription for thrush to compliment the care being rendered by the pediatrician because my lactation consultant believes I may have thrush in my milk ducts. My infant is being treated but me, the source, cannot be because of this $1100 bill. I have private health insurance, am a compliant and paying patient and have been for over 20 years. I had to go to planned parenthood to get my meds refilled and a proper rx for my breasts so that my infant wouldn't continue to suffer. I have never been so heartbroken in my care in all my life. The physician and nurses are amazing, but I am devastated that I may have to leave this practice because I feel preyed upon by their billing department. To make things worse, after calling my insurance provider (blue cross) it turns out the claim was billed incorrectly and it is being reprocessed. So the balance I incurred isn't even real. I have been going to this center for 20 years. My original doctor(dr. Pitt) has went to work for veteran clinic. So I was assigned to another and I am happy with new doctor as I did with Dr.Pitt. She takes her time to talk to me about my health. Recently they built this amazing new building 3 floors! Wow ! So much better then 20 years ago! Trust me! I am sad that Insurances are not allowing for some tests be done yearly anymore. So sad ! especially when cancer is attacking so many women ! I recommend this clinic and their doctors. read more

I dont recommend this place. Only one of the Drs actually cares for his patients. The rest only care about money and how much more they can make. The medical staff are all super friendly, but the front staff could use help. Im more upset that I found out that they dont give thier staff bonuses. I spoke to one that has been there for a very long time and was expecting a rather large bonus for being a single mother and they told them that they dont get any bonuses. I wish that I would have looked at the reviews before continuing my care here because of a medical emergency. I went to the ER and they told me to get in with my OBGYN for tests a month later and TWO canceled labs and I now have to go outside of the office to get my labs done. The staff ended up telling me that this is because they are down to one Sonographer and that is the issue I am not sure why their inability to run their practices is directly impacting my health but I will be changing doctors. Was seeing Dr Arnold whom I have no problem with. My problem with Women's Care is their billing department. I had a surgical procedure done in 2021, one year later in 2022 I received a $2200 bill in the mail for that procedure. I called billing and a nasty lady refused to try and help, I called my insurance company who told me it's not a in office procedure when you have an anesthesiologist. My insurance called to tell them to correct the coding, but they wouldn't budge, they refuse to correct their error. Today I had an appointment for my yearly with Dr. Arnold and I was refused entrance to even see the doctor because of this outstanding bill that I am disputing. So it's very clear this place cares only about the money and not the patient. I am definitely going to be finding a new gynecology office. read more

Worst OBGYN. Came here since they take my insurance and conveniently located. They are well known in the area so they should be fantastic, right?! WRONG! Nothing went right here. From the receptionist at the front desk being a complete Karen, to the doctor falsifying my chart to them charging my insurance $40 for a pregnancy test that I never received. The online portal is convenient and I was looking at my medical records. The doctor noted that she had a discussion with me about being overweight when this discussion never took place! I have been seeing Dr. Bryan throughout my whole pregnancy between the Fish Hawk, Brandon, and Riverview location. If it wasn't for the nurses I would not have had a positive experience. Please research your doctor before you choose them. Dr. Bryan was straight to the point let's get you out of the door almost EVERY visit. Most visits she walked in the room and introduced herself as if we have never met before which really left me uneasy. We place you and your child's health into this persons hands. There were many months when she was too booked and I had to see Dr. Rhonda Jackson (loved her). Saw Dr. Jackson about 4-5 times and EVERY time she asked about my daughter and husband and talked to me about my pregnancy and life to make the experience 100% more comfortable. When my induction was set with Dr. Jackson the next visit I was back seeing Dr. Bryan and when I asked her if the time was set yet cause I was still waiting on the call from the hospital she responded "I am not sure, was not aware of an inducement" (ma'am.... You are my primary doctor) the nurse proceed in stating I have your paperwork let me go get the confirmation time for you. Just left my 6 week check up, was told by the nurse to undress completely to get my exam. Dr. Bryan came in the room and asked me basic questions, how I was feeling and if I had any signs of depression. I proceeded to answer no. She then pressed on my stomach and confirmed all was good. No pelvic/cervix exam was done even tho the jelly and gloves were placed out by the nurse. Do we not do exams now to confirm all is well after delivery? I also asked for an IUD to be placed she said they had to order them and I needed to call to schedule. When I asked if I could go ahead and schedule now and she stated yes if you want to do it with us go ahead.... Why wouldn't I? That's why I'm asking you about it. She was walking towards the door every time I asked a question almost like she was ready to just head to the next patient and rushed my answers. Never acknowledged my baby or asked about anything related to my delivery (that she didn't do fyi) and how I was adjusting. When I checked out with the front desk nurse she asked when I wanted to schedule the iud insert I told her whenever the order comes in. The nurse confirmed they had them in stock!!! Now I have to go back on the 30th to get it in, instead of doing it today.... When I clearly could have. All and all, it's really just the doctor experience I had. Would recommend Dr. Jackson to anyone tho, amazing doctor and beautiful spirit. read more

Women's Care clearly doesn't concern themselves with care, the patients, or the father of the child. We had an appointment today to visit the doctor for our first appointment since my wife conceived our child. We were told that I was able to come to this visit (covid regulations) and see the images of our little baby. This question was asked by my wife specifically due to the fact I wasn't allowed to come in during a heartbreaking emergency visit to see the doctor when we lost our first baby. When my wife was no longer able to handle the news she was being given, I was all of a sudden able to be by her side in what could very possibly be the hardest experience we've ever had to handle together. Shame on you for that, you knew why she was coming to you for. Fast forward back to today's visit. I took time off work to be sure to be with her today. We walkin the door and the covid policy changed since she asked when booking her appointment and as of a couple weeks ago I'm no longer the father of the baby, but a visitor of the patient. I can't make this up! Nobody sent a notice that this policy changed, nobody made a phone call letting us know and in the end nobody cared that I'm sitting in the parking lot texting back and forth to figure out the health of our unborn child. One thing for sure they did very well and very quickly was to ask for a credit card to pay a small balance that was left over from the last horrible visit we had here. They care for sure. They care about your money. When it comes to bringing life until this world you would assume there would be some patient concern and family compassion involved. Don't expect to get either of those things here at Women's Care Florida! read more

If I could leave a 0-star review I would. My husband and I recently moved from Indianapolis to Tampa and I had called to schedule a transfer of care with this office WEEKS before we moved to Tampa. On the day of our 16-week appt. I get told that my patient responsibility is nearly $400??!! For what?? The front desk receptionist couldn't give me a straight answer. Come to find out they never set my appoint. for a patient that is 16 weeks pregnant. They asked me to get my sonogram report sent to their office, which I immediately did and three weeks went by of NOTHING. Call today and I'm told that my patient responsibility is nearly $2,000 just because and I CAN'T see a provider until I pay that sum. No payment plan NOTHING. I cannot express the lack of professionalism and care for patients in this office. DO NOT go to this location or any of the Women's Care locations. Absolutely ridiculous to leave a pregnant patient with no care during such a pivotal time in pregnancy. read more

I'm not sure why the reviews are so low on Yelp. I had a great experience with women's care Florida while pregnant with my daughter. They were consistent, followed through with everything, monitored me closely to be sure I would have preeclampsia again (first child born premature in California), and all around took my feelings and wants into consideration. My daughter was born 14 days before due date when my blood pressure spiked a little. The doctor didn't even hesitate and had me deliver that afternoon to be sure I didn't have any other blood pressure spikes that could risk my health/life. The only negative I'd have is that they didn't take TRICARE anymore so I had to return to my doctor. They still did my post appointments though. Thank goodness they take TRICARE again and I am calling today to go back for my annual womanly appointments with woman's care. read more

I recently moved to the area and started to use them for a current pregnancy. They were nice enough and seem knowledgeable enough, but I feel like I'm just a number to them. I have a complicated (and traumatic) history. I have been asked to re-live a very traumatic experience now to 5 different doctors/nurses there, when my records already contained that information. It is unfortunate information that is required knowledge to provide me with adequate care, but dang it, why do I have to keep repeating myself, especially with the grueling details around a serious trauma? Likewise, I've had to answer several questions 3 and 4 times, when I knew for a fact that the info is in my chart. I waited almost an hour after my last scheduled appointment to see the doctor, who had not reviewed my file at all, making me repeat everything that I had already told precious providers and/or nurses. I have a complicated pregnancy, and my care is very different than what I have experienced with other practitioners. I have to repeat myself so many times, and will have to do it again during delivery because their office practitioners don't deliver babies. So even if I make appointments and insist on seeing the same doctor, I won't have the opportunity to have that trusted doctor during delivery. I understand that this can sometimes happen, that your OB won't always be available for delivery, but this is a standard practice here. I have been prescribed category C medications, when category B was available (and what is used as the standard where I came from) for severe morning sickness. I'm quite off-put by their billing structure, requiring you to pay upfront for services not yet rendered, and requiring some fees "regardless of insurance". They seem quite keen on making sure they get their bottom line met, with very little concern for my bottom line. I appreciate that this is their business model and how they can quickly get through patients and make sure that they get paid, but the baby-mill model is just not for me. I will be seeking alternate care. I don't need handholding, but I do need to feel more trust that my providers have my best interests in mind over their bottom line. read more

Not one to complain, but this one is not good. I recently visited this office with my wife. After the visit we were told our insurance did no cover services rendered. We then paid the full amount that we were told and said to be given a discount. We walked out and a few weeks later got an invoice for 8 dollars, after 3 calls and being on hold forever they told me to forget the 8 dollars. A week later we got an invoice for $80.00 and after being transferred around, being told they call back and never did I continue to call and 6 days later I found someone to tell me that it was a lab fee and it was out of their hands. All I wanted was for an explanation the day of service that this was possibly going to be separate to the office visit. Sorry to say I don't like being mislead. Never calling me back hurts. My health care insurance provider recommend this group. First off they are quick to get you in because you are a money machine for them. They told me due to my insurance the insurance required almost 300 for a consultation. Then 234 for the biopsy. Then 234 for getting the results! (I've never bee charged for results), then the doctor was apparently not happy with my ultra sound because I didn't pay him to do it and he wanted another one at 200. They told me it was because my deduitable was not met. My deduitable is $600. Do the math. Due to this I called my insurance company and they were like "NO that is their billing choice. You do not even have a deduitable to see the specialist. That shouldn't cost anything." Really now? If that is your billing system fine just be honest about it. Second issue is this the doctor I saw was so busy telling me how he likes a brandy in the evening and talking about his wife he didn't hear a word I said. Third he was a bit of an ass. Fourth he told me that he would do an abalation on me. He told me this would shut everything off. That I can do it in office. Out one day and then I couldn't get pregnant and I wouldn't go through menopause. It just shuts the factor down. I thought wow amazing. OK HERE IS THE TRUTH: Spoke to a couple of other doctors and I don't have my tubes tied so I could still get pregnant it does't stop everything and my tumors will still grow and have continued to grow since seeing him. He should lose his license for this alone! In addition, I told him I would not pay him to do the ultra sound over that the first one was fine. He insisted that the ultra sound and paper work said nothing about the cyst on my ovary. So I called them and yes it does. IN fact they wound up calling me back concerned because they had to show him the inforamtion on the form and READ IT TO HIM! He called them very angry and they were concerned for me due to his temper. I ve gone else where and I highly suggest you do the same. read more

Everyone in the waiting area had come and gone and I was still waiting at 11:10. Not bad you might think but when I asked about it they said two patients were still ahead of me! Are you kidding me? Originally I was a patient of the Lithia, FL location and I didn't have any issues there but now you can't even get test results in a timely fashion. I've been waiting over a week now to hear back from them and every time I call to get results I get transferred to the nurse who's never available to speak so I'm having to leave a messages for with no call back. I'd like to think they care about patients but it's not seeming that way. All I need is results. I'll definitely be changing providers after this ordeal. read more
