On May 6, 2026 I received an statement for $25.00 I called the Women's care asking the reason of the charge. They said it was for OFFICE VISIT and that Medicare did not covered office visit. My appointment was not scheduled for office visit so I contacted Medicare and they said that Women's Care used the wrong code (99397) and that they need to provide the correct code for Medicare to make the payment. I called back Women's Care and spoke with Carol who confirmed that Women's Care uses that code and that I signed a paper work where I am responsible for the remaining balance. I agree with that, but I do not agree with the Women's Care using the wrong code and Women's Care needs to contact Medicare to request the correct code to get the payment. It seems that Women's Care does not care about processing the correct codes to charge the Insurance companies and whatever the Insurance rejects, then, the easiest way for Women's Care is to argue with the patient instead of fixing the mistake they have made. It is only $25.00 dollars, but the principal is they have done something wrong and they refused to correct it, causing a person on Social Security to pay the $25.00

At 36 weeks, I was sent to Labor & Delivery for extended monitoring after a brief fetal heart-rate deceleration during an NST. The extended monitoring was reassuring, but my blood pressure was elevated at the hospital. I have a history of anxiety and white-coat syndrome, and my home readings were consistently normal. Dr. Russell recommended delivery and repeatedly told me I was "having a baby today." I understood that she needed to explain the potential risks, but I felt pressured rather than included in a respectful discussion about my care. At my next appointment, my ultrasound, blood work, vital signs, and baby's condition were reassuring. I brought detailed home blood-pressure readings, but I felt they were dismissed. Dr\. Russell repeatedly told me I was putting my baby's life at risk, shared frightening stories about other patients, and moved very close to my face while speaking to me. My three-year-old son was in the room, and I eventually told her I was done arguing because we were getting nowhere. I left crying. I waited until I completed my postpartum care before filing a formal complaint. My six-week postpartum appointment was September 21, and I was cleared. I later received a termination letter dated that same day, citing noncompliance with recommended prenatal care and medical recommendations. I understand doctors must take pregnancy complications seriously. However, patients also deserve respectful communication and the opportunity to participate in decisions about their care. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

The person told me that the Dr. wouldn't do it because I'm not currently in an acute state. I told her that just because it's not hurting, doesn't mean it doesn't need to be done, and that it effect my sexual health. She then recommended I go somewhere else. I'm shocked that even though the Dr is taking new clients, the appointment setter argued that I should go elsewhere. So if you are reading this review, you should simply call somewhere. If you want to go in for well women visits and not be abandoned by a nurse on an exam table in a front-opening gown for 30 minutes while you wait for the doctor to come in, then she most definitely is your lady. As far as I can tell, it's only a receptionist and Dr McCarthy in the office. The last two times, I had the first appt of the day, so the receptionist wasn't there. Dr McCarthy checked me in, then took me immediately back (didn't even have a chance to sit in the waiting room). She does your blood pressure, weight, etc, has a chat with you in her office, then takes you to the exam room to change, comes right back in, completes the exam, and then you meet her back in her office for final discussions. She is kind, and listens if you have concerns, and makes the whole experience quite enjoyable. I almost wish I had to go more than once a year! A lot of doctors only call you with the results if something is wrong or abnormal, but Dr McCarthy lets you know either way as soon as your results come back (usually within 2-3 days). I am so pleased to have found this office and highly recommend it!

In fact when I asked for lab work she stated they don't take any if you're 32 years old and your cycle is on time. Regardless of the other symptoms I was complaining of - horrible cramps, spotting for days, intense bloating and all of these being changes that were new to me. She ACTUALLY suggested that I might have an STD lol which was absurd after explaining I have been with only my husband for X amount of time - she tested me anyways and I did not. With absolutely no grounds for testing me for this or even suggesting I might have them based on my symptoms. I now have seen another doctor and I actually do have hormone issues and was totally off balance and have gut issues etc. and I'm so thankful I went to see someone else that actually listened and respected me as a woman and wanted to hear what I had to say because I would have never gotten better if I stayed under the care of Dr. Fanarjian. So if you are looking for a doctor that simply wants to just prescribe birth control when you complain of anything period related- she's the one for you. However if you are wanting to actually get to the root cause of things I suggest you stay far away.
