Office experience and overall patient experience is terrible. The central scheduling doesn't connect you to the office in the event you need something specific. There's no doctor signage in the offices so no idea which floor you need to be on - it's all trial and error. There's no ability to transfer a call between offices you have to hang up and try again. Called ahead to get a price for unisured, self-pay price for appointment. Was quoted $166 for regular appointment. Regular appointment happened (no extra tests, labs, nothing, just appointment as stated on my bill) but was it $166 - NO...it is $605. When I called to ask the difference, nothing - they couldn't tell me. Refused to discount any. Normal, 20 min appointment. Never again will I go here. read more

Dr. Mariel Rotundo Patino is very unprofessional. Scheduled a new patient appointment in June that she cancelled. Her office rescheduled my appointment for August to have that appointment cancelled as well. i woukd not recommend anyone book an appointment with her. Yesterday was very traumatic for me. Frustrating to get paperwork link 30 minutes prior to your appointment on your phone . Which delayed my check-in time . Went in for a possible bladder infection . Was told I had to get undressed and get checked . I didn't understand that because I had my annual exam last year so I was very confused. I have Parkinson's with the movement disorder. The medical assistant was very compassionate and understood my concerns about getting on that table with no railing and hard it is for me to get clothes on and off . Dr Lauren Davis cared about billing the insurance more than caring for me . All she did was check my breathing and did a urine sample . Then I go to check out and the lady says I have no copay . Go to the lobby area to the elevator. Girl at check in desk . Yeah it's across the waiting area that was fully packed to tell me I need to come back and pay my co-pay . Made me feel like I was trying to run out without paying . I ride a Mobility Scooter cuz I can't walk . So doing all that really wore me out . Because of my limitations I felt I was judged . Service could improve if when you call you have the opportunity to speak to a live person and not a machine. I spent three days trying to verify whether or not my health insurance was valid there and after leaving over a half dozen messages and never getting a return call - I cancelled the appointment. Then a lady made a appointment for the last shoots at Brandon, I drove AN HOUR to get there, and they just told me they don't carry it anymore! They have a month to call me or text me or email me!!! I just wanted to post this here and get the word out. I used to be the biggest supporter of this doctor's office (Zweibach's Women's Health) but wish to share my experience so every one else is warned. As I previously reviewed, this office has gone down hill since I first started coming here YEARS ago. Their wait time has gotten out of control and you have to leave voicemails and wait to hear back from anyone. I send a simple question via their "convenient" portal and they try and get me into the office ($$). I still really love Dr. Champion but am not a fan of their new doctor, or the others at that. The new Dr. almost made me miss my window of time to get my NT scan for my pregnancy ... and it was apparent the other doctors weren't happy about it. After thinking it through, I decided I would prefer to deliver my baby at St. Joes Womens vs BRH. Although I read negative reviews about their attitude towards switching, I thought to be a decent person and approach it myself. When I got there and was standing at the desk, I overheard the new doctor talking to one of the nurses about a delivery she just did and how she "just decided to cut her because she gave that lady long enough" and how the hospital nurses were opposed to it but "my name is on that , I'll do what I choose". I went in and spoke with Dosha Baerwalde, the office manager (incredibly UNPLEASANT human being). I expressed my concerns and even the negative reviews I heard but wanted to make my own judgment. Sure enough, the reviews were right! Dosha was INCREDIBLY rude and cold. I explained how I really liked Dr Champion for my personal care while not pregnant but wasn't pleased with the others doctors and the chance they may deliver my baby and at BRH. Not to mention the multiple screw ups they've made during my current 18 weeks of pregnancy. She advised me as soon as I request MY OWN RECORDS they close you out of their office- FOR GOOD. I then asked if I could continue there for my own personal care after baby and she coldly stated, "Nope". I said, "You don't think that's a bit harsh?"... "Nope". At that point, I was completely turned off from this office. FAX MY RECORDS PLEASE! I'll take my business elsewhere. It's unfortunate because I actually liked the nurses and Dr. Champion there. I highly suggest this office look for a new office manager because apparently this one has zero personality or customer service skills. So at 18 weeks pregnant, she doesn't have a second thought about leaving me without a doctor for exploring my options. read more

Office staff needs a lot of work as they are less than professional and difficult to deal with. I dealt with the nurse line to inquire about my college-aged daughter's prescription for birth control. The nurse relayed a prescription cannot be extended if the person was not sent by the doctor in the past 12 months. She mentioned that it was Florida law. First, it is not Florida law, it is their office procedure. Big difference. When I explained that my daughter had an appointment and would be in the office four days from now, and that she needed to get a weeks (or months) worth of birth control pills carried over, I was yelled at once again and lectured that Florida law would not allow. I wasn't asking for a narcotics prescription as the tone of her voice suggested. To put this in perspective, my daughter will have to start the birth control cycle (and waiting period, which will be 1-2 months) over again because of this lapse that could have been avoided as it is completely the discretion of the doctor, not a violation of Florida law. It seems like this practice isn't concerned about retaining patients long term as the treatment given to the patients from the staff is uncalled for. read more

After a life changing horrible experience at one of the many womens care of florida chains, I was nervous about finding a new Dr. I didn't think anyone would listen to me or cared about my problems. I came here with out a lot of hope of finding someone who would listen and give me the individual attention I really needed for my particular health issues. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that Dr Rotundo at Zweibach's Women's Health really did care. It really is necessary for womens care to have a doctor that knows who you are, understands your history and cares about your future. I realized, that not all doctors are equal, not all of them care...it really is necessary to find someone who cares in order to get the best treatment. I love the doctors, Dr Sampson and Dr Rotunda; however, I do not recommend going to them because of the unprofessionalism of the office staff. The office was closed on several weekdays, I am a c-section patient I had some issues with my incision opening and somebody forgot to switch the phone to the answering service. I had no idea they were closed until my husband drove me up to the office and saw the sign so I went to the ER. Then, I went to my 6 week check up this past Friday and told me DURING my visit that the office I was that they couldn't give me a pregnancy test to give me my birth control so I would have to schedule ANOTHER appointment at the other office. They should have called beforehand so I could reschedule. Who has time to go to several appointments??? The office staff apparently does not train or keep employees in the loop and leaves the patients upset and very frustrated! Find a different OB! I pray the 2 doctors I saw leave! I loved Dr. Zweibach. He was phenomenal throughout my entire pregnancy. He listened and made me feel comfortable when I was concerned. He explained everything and walked me through every detail. In the end, I needed to have a csection for a large baby. I'm now 6 weeks post. The procedure went flawlessly. I have a happy baby boy, and I'm doing better than fine. The scar is hardly there! I just can't say enough about Dr. Z. Such a great experience. read more

Did my tubal ligation and everything went great. The next day I felt fine just like I did a lot of abdominal work outs. doctor Z is great!

So my last appt with them was a disaster. I was finally taken to a room 35 minutes after my scheduled appt, got undressed and ready for my exam only to sit waiting for another 45 minutes. Finally got dressed, left the room and went to checkout to DEMAND my copay back. They get your money and then make you wait. Doc met me in the hall and said, "we're very busy today, sorry you had to wait". Now don't you know that if I was 15 minutes late to check in, I'd have been told to reschedule and have been charged as a no show. BUT not them. Their time is so much more important than mine obviously. I finally got fed up and have left the practice. Find a different place. You can never reach them when you need to and it's just not right to be made to wait that long without an explanation. Dr. Z was the best but this new crew, not so much. read more

Honestly, their weight loss program is in the rough and needs to grow a lot more. There are many other doctors and more complete programs in the weight loss business that are less expensive and more comprehensive. In the aspect of patient/customer treatment, the office manager and clerks could use a little more professionalism, sensibility and friendliness. At least in the 3 visits I made, I felt tense because of the way they treat each other and the way they talk to patients. On each visit I experienced to be uncomfortably treated. They are unfriendly and unwelcoming, except for the nurses. This week I found a better program that offers a lot more, everything is explained in details, you are treated with respect and their office personnel is amazing. read more

UPDATE! September 2017: I would like to say I'm glad I didn't stick around with this office. The guy dr was rude and unprofessional. The dr assumed with just numbers that he can diagnose someone with a health problem than looking at the person as a whole. We are not numbers only. It's also called EMPATHY! Which this dr did not have. I got retested and passed with flying colors. So I'm here to prove that their office is WRONG. I wonder how many people they misdiagnose and make do extra things just because of their protocols. I would give this practice a zero if I could. The guy Dr is unprofessional and rude. He has no empathy. He assumed everything I did was on purpose. They decided to kick me when I am 6 months pregnant. I came to this practice for pre-natal care and I was on vacation out of town and wouldn't be able to make it to one of my appointment, so I rescheduled. He said it out right that I was skipping out on my appointments. He said I was not compliant. I only visited them twice out of this pregnancy, besides the in-house testings. I do not recommend this practice. I should of saw the red flags when I first called them and left a few voice message to make an appointment. They never called back so I pressed another extension number to be able to set up an appointment. Dr was not professional or considerate. I do not recommend this practice. This is not my first pregnancy. Plus they would take your money but won't give it back when they decide to kick you out because its too hard. read more

I only started going here a few years ago because my Dr retired. I see Dr Rotundo and although she's incredibly nice, I'm always feeling rushed. My last straw was this. My daughter went to call in her refill and it said that her 1 refill was expired. I called the Dr to get a refill for her. They refused to refill until she came in for her appt EVEN though she still had 1 refill left and even though she had an appt. ANY other place I've been to will call in a 1 month refill to cover you until you come in for your appt. So now my daughter has gone for days without her medication. read more

I recently discontinued my services with Women's Health and Wellness (Brandon, FL office). My experience was a mix of good and bad, however the bad outweighed the good. On the plus side, I liked the doctors and everyone was friendly when I was in the office. On the negative side, when your pregnant as I am, you sometimes have reason for frequent contact in between appointments regarding your care and procedures, labs etc... The medical system is confusing and messy. At times, I needed the appropriate office staff to help me get some information that after looking into things with the lab myself I was told I couldn't be provided the specific lab billing code (code lab bills for is different than the code office originally provided me) to determine costs and in order to then see if insurance covered it. First off, when you call the office you can't get a live person unless you know the extension or you can get only the scheduling department. They use the email web portal for most communication. When I had an easy question, I got a quick response. When I had a question that required a little work/assistance on their part, instead of emailing back something like "We'll look into it." Or "We can't help you with that," I literally got no response at all until over a week. I emailed them on a Friday. By Wednesday the next week when I heard nothing, I sent a follow up email. Then by the following Friday when I still heard nothing, I sent another follow up email. Finally the next Monday, I received an email back in which my question wasn't answered,I was given inaccurate information and I was given an extension to the lady that manages the in office mini lab at Women's Health and Wellness. Also, I was given wrong info because both the doctor and that lab person in the office previously told me the lab I'd use for the test was Quest, then the person responding in the email said the lab was Counsyl. Well the cycle of trying to get help from them seemed to start all over. I left a voicemail for the lady at the extension provided (her name was on the greeting). 3 days later still heard nothing back. There was a previous situation with this office where I experienced a lack of communication, them dragging their feet, but I figured I'd give them another chance as nothings perfect and I was happy with my doctors overall. After this 2nd somewhat similar issue, I transferred to another OBGYN's office. At this point, I did not feel myself as the client and my baby was a priority by the office as a whole. Everyone there is "the face" of the office. I was highly disappointed. read more

My wife xxxxx xxxxx. had a mammogram a few weeks ago and you just said everything is fine via the portal. you guys Would not even call back because your practice does not care. I also left another message to you a few weeks ago but you still did not get back with us. Even getting an appt takes a lot of effort. All staff is rude. My wife had to hunt down the results to find out the outcome of the mammogram. I have actually read the report and in the report it does not say everything is 100% fine which contradicts with the doctor's response. She has dense tissue and women with dense tissue have higher chance for breast cancer. Many doctors recommend additional screening for women with dense breasts. I guess that is not your practice but we would like her to get an ultrasound as well to have a clearer picture. But when we call your office the triage nurse disregards our request and concerns. She even told my wife to call our health insurance and get lost. What does the insurance have to do with you referring my wife for an ultrasound to compliment the mammogram? we pay for the services covered by insurance or not. None of your your nurse's business. One thing I know is that if my wife gets breast cancer I will sue you and your triage nurse with pleasure. What kind of doctor's office are you guys running? Tell your nurse that she is not a doctor and should not decide for patients without consulting a real doctor. Ha also if she does not like her job she should work at walmart as a cashier. read more

PREGNANT WOMEN STAY AWAY. Dr. Heidi DiSalvo told me that she did not know where I could take a birthing class. I was dumbfounded that an OBGYN office would not know where I could take birthing classes. They also offer zero breastfeeding care. Dr. Heidi DiSalvo could not find the countless sonograms the office had done on me, and when I transferred my care they indicated they sent them - however no sonograms ever showed up. They lost my sonogram records. Dr. Heidi DiSalvo got very rude with me and told me birthing centers have a "high mortality rate"; when the studies I've read do not indicate more than a 1% difference in mortality vs a hospital birth. That is not "high" and I do not think it's right for doctors to attempt to intimidate pregnant women. Dr Heidi DiSalvo did not care that I live over an hour from Brandon, and did not have any concern if I have the baby in the car due to this distance. The office continually insists that Dr. Heidi DiSalvo is an in-network doctor, when I have received repeated correspondence from United Healthcare that she is indeed out-of-network. I told them I was going to give birth at a birthing center, and they said it wouldn't be a problem to transfer care when I was ready. They still said that United stated they collect $1,262 from me as a deposit - and if needed it would "easily" be refunded. I requested my care transferred 4/5/2017. They emailed me today stating it would be more than 30 days from now before I would receive my deposit back, despite me having to now give that deductible to the birthing center. They delayed sending in the final bill to United and indicated I would get the refund of the deposit once they were paid; now they have changed their story and it will be more than 30 days from now. read more

So far the Dr's have been very nice but the admins are not doing a good job and have wasted our time twice so far. I have showed up with my wife 2 time so far after being told that we would learn the gender of our twins. Both times we get here and are told that that does not happen here and that we must have been misinformed. Both times it was a dr that told us what would be happening and then the admins tell us that we were misinformed. I have wasted 8 hours of vacation time so far that would have been nice to spend after the babies were born. One dr was nice enough to tell is that she would speak with the office admin and see if we can be helped with the issues. The office manager Dosha Baerwalde came into the room and told us we would get a gender reveal in just a few minutes. We were then told be her to wait in the waiting room as it is cooler in temp out there. I then used the bathroom and walked out to find the same office manager sitting with my wife and telling her that it would be 100 bucks for the gender reveal. She told us it was against the law for them not to charge us as a courtesy. My wife expressed her concern about the way the office was run and Dosha mumbled "maybe we should go somewhere else". But it was loud enough that everyone heard her and put their heads down. She then ran into the back and another lady came out to explain what had happened. She would not comment on what Dosha had said and neither would any of the ladies behind the counter. Im very disappointed with this place and im not pregnant with twins. My wife was crying when we left and im working to bring up her spirits. I will be looking into different offices. read more
