Terrible patient experience skills. No empathy. Cancelled appointment and did not acknowledge a miscarrying woman.

It's a little disheartening that during these rough times (COVID) this office is less than…read moreflexible. I called for a minor issue and they requested we do a video chat (since coming into the office right now is understandably avoided). Then they told me that they are going to charge me a FIFTY dollar co-pay for a video chat. FIFTY DOLLARS for a 3 minute chat for the doctor to send over an Rx. Far more simple than an actual office visit. I called my insurance and they did e-visit with one of their contracted providers FOR FREE. How insane is it that your office is willing to greedily charge FIFTY DOLLARS when half of us are out of work as it is? You guys should be ashamed of yourselves and I'm highly disappointed.

I called the Tampa location trying to make a same day appointment because my body had rejected my…read moreIUD birth control and was experiencing extreme pain and very heavy bleeding. The doctor wasn't available in Tampa, but I was able to make a 3:00 appointment at the Brandon location, this office. I have my insurance information when I made the appointment hours before. When I arrived at the office, I waited for almost an hour before they finally decided to tell me that they were having trouble verifying my insurance. I stepped out to call my insurance company, and after about five minutes decided to self pay so I could see the doctor to get checked out. As I walked up to the front desk, the receptionist told me that because it was getting late I would just have to reschedule and come back another day because the doctor was "almost done and ready to go home." It was 4:05 and they are supposedly open until 5:00. I was shocked at first and said that I was ready to just pay, and that I had been waiting for over an hour. I explained again that I was in a lot of pain and really needed to see the doctor because I was worried the IUD may have caused damage coming out of me. The only response I got was that unfortunately the doctor was done for the day, not taking any more patients, and I would have to reschedule. The staff had so many opportunities to tell me that they were having trouble with my insurance, which I was able to sort out after a few phone calls, but neglected to say anything until ten minutes before the doctor decides she was done seeing patients. I don't understand how a doctor who is supposed to help people can be so cold hearted that after waiting for over an hour, being seriously worried, in pain, and willing to pay, she would refuse to see me. I would never recommend this place to anyone, because even if you desperately need to see a doctor, if she feels like going home you're screwed.
