On May 6, 2026 I received an statement for $25.00 I called the Women's care asking the reason of the charge. They said it was for OFFICE VISIT and that Medicare did not covered office visit. My appointment was not scheduled for office visit so I contacted Medicare and they said that Women's Care used the wrong code (99397) and that they need to provide the correct code for Medicare to make the payment. I called back Women's Care and spoke with Carol who confirmed that Women's Care uses that code and that I signed a paper work where I am responsible for the remaining balance. I agree with that, but I do not agree with the Women's Care using the wrong code and Women's Care needs to contact Medicare to request the correct code to get the payment. It seems that Women's Care does not care about processing the correct codes to charge the Insurance companies and whatever the Insurance rejects, then, the easiest way for Women's Care is to argue with the patient instead of fixing the mistake they have made. It is only $25.00 dollars, but the principal is they have done something wrong and they refused to correct it, causing a person on Social Security to pay the $25.00

I called for a minor issue and they requested we do a video chat (since coming into the office right now is understandably avoided). Then they told me that they are going to charge me a FIFTY dollar co-pay for a video chat. FIFTY DOLLARS for a 3 minute chat for the doctor to send over an Rx. Far more simple than an actual office visit. I called my insurance and they did e-visit with one of their contracted providers FOR FREE. How insane is it that your office is willing to greedily charge FIFTY DOLLARS when half of us are out of work as it is? You guys should be ashamed of yourselves and I'm highly disappointed.

The doctor wasn't available in Tampa, but I was able to make a 3:00 appointment at the Brandon location, this office. I have my insurance information when I made the appointment hours before. When I arrived at the office, I waited for almost an hour before they finally decided to tell me that they were having trouble verifying my insurance. I stepped out to call my insurance company, and after about five minutes decided to self pay so I could see the doctor to get checked out. As I walked up to the front desk, the receptionist told me that because it was getting late I would just have to reschedule and come back another day because the doctor was "almost done and ready to go home." It was 4:05 and they are supposedly open until 5:00. I was shocked at first and said that I was ready to just pay, and that I had been waiting for over an hour. I explained again that I was in a lot of pain and really needed to see the doctor because I was worried the IUD may have caused damage coming out of me. The only response I got was that unfortunately the doctor was done for the day, not taking any more patients, and I would have to reschedule. The staff had so many opportunities to tell me that they were having trouble with my insurance, which I was able to sort out after a few phone calls, but neglected to say anything until ten minutes before the doctor decides she was done seeing patients. I don't understand how a doctor who is supposed to help people can be so cold hearted that after waiting for over an hour, being seriously worried, in pain, and willing to pay, she would refuse to see me. I would never recommend this place to anyone, because even if you desperately need to see a doctor, if she feels like going home you're screwed.
