I say relevant because yearly when I have an appointment with Dr. Hersh she is telling me the latest in women's medical history research. She takes pride in staying on top of the changes that effect me. She does not rush appointments. I had a question for her this past visit and she took the time to go over every aspect of my concern. I am fortunate I am able to get that type of personal, unhurried genuine care. I know several people who have had Dr. Hersh for surgical procedures and they all love her. She is just committed to her practice and to her patients.

She claimed to prevent osteoporosis with a FemHeart and then mocked me by bending over like a 90-year-old to walk out when I had it by late 50s and sent me down the hall to her doc friend who practiced his golf swing in my appointment for drug infusions. She knows nothing about weight lifting exercises that prevent it. An acquaintance won a lawsuit for punctured uterus and intestine about which she lied to the ER that she caused which misled their care.

Fertility is not an easy topic to talk about, and going through fertility treatment can be emotionally challenging. From the beginning, he made me feel that I was in safe hands. I will never forget when he told me, "I'll do everything I can to help you become parents." Those words meant so much to me and gave me so much hope and happiness. Dr. Sharara is truly a master in his field, and I feel incredibly lucky that he was my first fertility doctor. I have heard from other people who started their fertility journey with different doctors and eventually changed doctors because they didn't feel comfortable with the way they were treated or didn't feel sufficiently supported. I am very grateful that I never had that experience. From the beginning, I felt respected, listened to, and cared for. Of course, medical knowledge and treatment are extremely important, but I personally believe that the human side matters just as much during a fertility journey. When you feel safe, supported, and confident in your doctor and your team, it can make such a difference emotionally. Constant worry and overthinking can make an already difficult journey even harder. Having a doctor who gives you hope and makes you feel that you are in good hands is priceless. Throughout my IVF journey, Dr. Sharara was always professional and supportive. He gave me recommendations about lifestyle, supplements, and different ways to improve my chances. We went through our first IVF cycle, and because I had diminished ovarian reserve, my body did not produce many eggs. In the end, we were able to have one frozen embryo. We later talked about a second cycle, and Dr. Sharara adjusted my medications and treatment approach to give me better chances. But then something truly amazing happened--I became pregnant naturally! When I shared the news with Dr. Sharara, I could see how genuinely happy he was for me. His nurses and staff were also incredibly happy and supportive. They made me feel like I was not just another patient, but part of a family. What I remember most about my experience is not only the medications, supplements, or medical treatment. It is the kindness, reassurance, and emotional support I received from Dr. Sharara and his entire team. During fertility treatment, those things matter tremendously. I will always be grateful for the way Dr. Sharara treated me and for the hope and confidence he gave me throughout my journey. I feel very lucky that he was the doctor who guided me through the beginning of this journey. I highly recommend meeting Dr. Sharara if you are going through fertility treatment. His medical expertise is exceptional, but what makes the experience truly special is the way he treats his patients--with kindness, compassion, and genuine care.

I am so grateful to Dr. Sharara. He was very honest and straightforward with us, and I really appreciated that. Our other clinic told us we had unexplained infertility, but Dr. Sharara actually did the investigative work to see what was going on. Through changes in lifestyle and medication, we were able to get five embryos! I cannot tell you how happy I am to have a chance at another pregnancy due to Dr. Sharara's diligence and care.

I was in labor 17 hours and only dilated to 1cm. When I went in to see my doctor at 6 weeks pregnant they told me I would need another c section. That's when I decided to go to Centreville OBGYN. From the minute I met Chloe I felt safe. She was honest, open, answered my questions and calmed my fears. When I started to question having a vbac, she talked me through those concerns. Never once did I feel pressured or alone. She loves her vbac mommas and it shows. My vbac was such a calm and beautiful experience. It was amazing to have Chloe's support and guidance. I fully trusted her and it allowed me to relax and allow my body to progress naturally. After my vbac, I suffered from severe postpartum migraines. Chloe was there to help support me, research treatments, and even called my neurologist to push to have me seen sooner. She went above and beyond to ensure I was healthy. Just had my first baby and can't recommend Reston Women's Center / Centerville OBGYN enough…read more For me, experience, knowledge and expertise is just as important as rapport, bedside manner and support. All of the Doctors, Midwives and Nurses I worked with in this practice have been wonderful and lived up to my expectations -- and I am particular :-). Office is very clean, appointments were on time, my phone calls and messages were always promptly returned, and their patient portal is very convenient and easy to use. As a first time mom, I had lots of questions and concerns throughout my pregnancy and I always felt heard, supported and in good hands with this practice. During my pregnancy, my appointments were mostly with Traci Marin and Katie Tyson; and the last several weeks mostly with Dr. Merriman (who I love so much). I honestly love all of them though - they are all skilled, down to earth and very knowledgeable. Dr. Hashemi ended up delivering me and although I hadn't met with her too much throughout my pregnancy, she was amazing. She made me feel very comfortable during labor and delivery. I ended up having a C Section after laboring for about 20 hours and pushing for 2 hours... which was literally my worst nightmare...but honestly, I look back at my birth story and everything went so well.  I delivered at Fair Oaks Hospital and all of the nurses I encountered had nothing but wonderful things to say about this practice. They all said that this group is one of their favorites to work with and that they are all known for their top notch care of their patients.

The care here was unremarkable, but I think something sketchy is going on with their referrals. I had to ask them for a real referral during my next visit because that practice wasn't covered by my insurance. Then I needed some routine laboratory testing and they sent it to a bizarre lab that my major insurance doesn't cover, instead of the many that it does, without discussing it with me. I ended up with a surprise $300 bill. I'm not going back.

They deliver at Reston Hospital, which is not the hospital closest to us now, but worth the trip for the quality of care that Dr. Patel and the staff provide. I call myself a patient of Dr. Patel specifically but I have seen everyone and they are all fantastic. I have also seen some of their affiliates who were on call during or after delivery at Reston. I have had 3 different procedures/deliveries (C-Section, D&C for loss, and VBAC) and in each case the doctors were empathetic, supportive, knowledgeable and most importantly, cheerleaders and advocates for my family. They no longer offer sonograms onsite, which kind of is a bummer. The practice has undergone some business changes in the past year or two that everyone still seems to be adjusting to- staff is busier, hold times are longer, and Dr. Cauble is no longer with the practice and has not been replaced (however this change is not necessarily Privia related, but they're down a doctor regardless). The remaining medical staff remains superb though and I highly recommend the Drs Patel and Rausch.

This is because she wants to see less patients, but still make the same amount of money. The healthcare system in this country leaves a lot to be desired... I should not have to shell out thousands of dollars for a routine yearly checkup. This is NOT ethical, and I hope she loses each and every patient she has. Thanks for nothing, Dr. Patel. Good to know you don't care about your patients unless they have enough money to be worth your time. What a disappointment. I've been seeing you since I was 14 years old and I really thought you were better than this. We live in a nation where being healthy is a privilege for the affluent, and that is truly a shame. I hope you feel that shame EVERY day. You deserve it. "Do no harm" my ass.
