Reza took special care in communicating with my insurance company to be sure nothing was out of line. I appreciated him going out of the way for me and my wallet! After my first appointment with her, she left the practice. This should have been my red flag. Everytime I went here, it felt like my concerns were not truly understood or listened to. It felt like every time I went, I was requested to complete tests that seemed irrelevant just so he could charge me money. This is a terrible practice with high turnover rate it seems. I would never trust Dr. Ayoub as my primary gynecologist and am happy to have switched. I got a colposcopy at this office and still question if it was legitimately needed, or they wanted to do the procedure so they could charge me for it. Always questioned the doctor's motives, whether he was giving legitimate medical advice or wanted to charge me the most money possible. I went to this practice a few times and the bills I received were absurd. Happy to be out. I would never recommended someone to this practice.

I was referred to her almost halfway through my twin pregnancy and am beyond thankful that I landed in her care. She is compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond. I had some issues pop up at the end of my pregnancy and was very nervous about delivery- she made me feel calm and ensured she was the one who was there to deliver them despite having personal family plans, which I cannot thank her enough for. Our delivery went smoothly and although I live a bit away from their office, will continue to see her for routine visits.

I have heard from other people who started their fertility journey with different doctors and eventually changed doctors because they didn't feel comfortable with the way they were treated or didn't feel sufficiently supported. I am very grateful that I never had that experience. From the beginning, I felt respected, listened to, and cared for. Of course, medical knowledge and treatment are extremely important, but I personally believe that the human side matters just as much during a fertility journey. When you feel safe, supported, and confident in your doctor and your team, it can make such a difference emotionally. Constant worry and overthinking can make an already difficult journey even harder. Having a doctor who gives you hope and makes you feel that you are in good hands is priceless. Throughout my IVF journey, Dr. Sharara was always professional and supportive. He gave me recommendations about lifestyle, supplements, and different ways to improve my chances. We went through our first IVF cycle, and because I had diminished ovarian reserve, my body did not produce many eggs. In the end, we were able to have one frozen embryo. We later talked about a second cycle, and Dr. Sharara adjusted my medications and treatment approach to give me better chances. But then something truly amazing happened--I became pregnant naturally! When I shared the news with Dr. Sharara, I could see how genuinely happy he was for me. His nurses and staff were also incredibly happy and supportive. They made me feel like I was not just another patient, but part of a family. What I remember most about my experience is not only the medications, supplements, or medical treatment. It is the kindness, reassurance, and emotional support I received from Dr. Sharara and his entire team. During fertility treatment, those things matter tremendously. I ended up meeting with their PA at the MD office who was nice but ignored signs that I had lost a substantial amount of blood due to my condition (headaches, shortness of breath, excessive paleness) and should have received medial treatment. When I asked if my headaches were a concern, she just said visit your PCP. When I did that the next day, my PCP admitted me to the ER for 2 blood transfusions due to excessive blood loss. While this office is great at resolving issues surgically, I do not feel they are appropriate at initial consultations for concerns. It is best to see a general OBGYN and then see this team for specialized surgeries through a second consultation.

Her amount of attention and being there for me was amazing. She goes above and beyond to make sure mom and baby are safe. I had my bad days and she helped me during hectic hormones. If I know anyone who is pregnant in the family, I would just recommend her due to her professionalism and being extremely kind to her patients. If someone wants to have a safe pregnancy, she is the one from God who can protects them dearly. I have 5 beautiful children and they are all perfect because of her pure love during my pregnancy. I've been Dr. Lashgari-Prather's gynecology patient for over 12 years. The practice offers care to…read moreinsured and uninsured patients, just work it out with billing in advance, like with any other practice. I've always been able to bring up my concerns, get the labs that I needed, and work through any concerns. I feel well taken care of at NOVA Physicians to Women and will only see Dr. Lashgari-Prather because of her kind and efficient bedside manner. She doesn't request excessive labs or procedures, but she does request the standard ones and will happily take care of labs and procedures that the patient may want. The front desk is efficient, polite, and thorough, as is the check out desk. Parking costs $7 as of 4/2023, for the whole day. There is no validation and you can pay at the pay stations with your debit or credit card. The building that NOVA Physicians to Women is located in is attached to Virginia Hospital Center and is a Mayo Clinic affiliate. Many practices attached to hospitals require invalidated paid parking and ai don't go there that often, so it's not a huge deal to me. She's never dismissed me or been condescending of me making an informed decision based on medical research or pier reviewed papers, which I appreciate. Many doctors are bothered by informed patients, so this approach is refreshing. I originally came to Dr. Lashgari-Prather whe she served as the on call doctor for a local Midwife. The prior Midwife provider was great, but her front office was rude and horrible, so I decided to become Dr. LP's patient (even though she urged me to speak with the other practice and give them another chance). When I would not do that, she was kind enough to take me on instead of letting me be without a provider. I've never regretted my decision to be her patient even though I had not received care from a Ob Gyn in 10 years (from when I came to her practice). Appointments with her are quick, but that works for me. I still get the care I need and am happy and at ease being her patient.
