I had the privilege of buying Wolford pantyhose a number of times at their Copley place store. They're absolutely the best pantyhose in the world and I explained myself to the stylists and they took right over picking out 15 pairs of various styles and colors of pantyhose. They were very classy, stylishly dressed wearing Wolford pantyhose on their legs and asking me exactly what I wanted and then rang me up and actually told me that I could use the small fitting room to put on a style of pantyhose they had recommended called NEON 40. They gave me tips on the correct way to put them on and I could see their legs in nylons the whole time and the fitting room only had a flimsy curtain and all kinds of people were walking past the store, Needless to say, it was one of the best experiences I ever had, the pantyhose they chose were actually difficult to be worn by a male without being distracted! I had given up on tights. I have worn Donna Karan, Hue, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Duane Reade (yes!). You get the idea. Out of all these brands, I still had not found a favorite. Most were uncomfortable and didn't last very long. Also, after sitting for long periods of time, I felt like I had wire cutting into my tights. So I gave up on the idea of wearing tights. Anyway, I was in Boston for work last week and on my way to the office, I noticed the most gorgeous fishnets on a women. They were sexy, yet she looked very classy. I couldn't keep my eyes off her legs. I followed her and asked her were she bought them. She didn't recall the name but she said close to the Louis Vuitton store. My hunt had begun! That's how my desire for tights and fishnets was reawaken. Anyhow, I came figured out it had to be Wolford. I found the store and before looking through tights, I went straight to the cashier and asked if try carried XL. I'm bigger than your average girl, and sometimes XL is more like M. She confirmed they did carry XL and said they would absolutely fit. I started looking around and Daphnie came in with a smile and offered her help. I was a little clueless, however, I explained what I wanted. She showed me several tights and gave me tips to layer tights with fishnets etc and also how to care for your tights. I have been a terrible person and put mine in the washer/dryer at times. I bought the Satin Touch 20 in black for $35. They're a little sheer and with a shiny finish. Unfortunately, when I got to the hotel I realized that my pantyhose were defective. They had little black lines all over. I brought them back to Daphne the next day and she replaced them with no hassle. I hadn't even tried the pantyhose on, but decided to get more since I was there again. I got the Velvet Deluxe 50 for $42, two Satin Touch 20 in black and sand for $35 each (sand looks like a bit more glittery and your legs look amazing), Quaint on sale for $33 (reg $48) and the Tate Control Top fishnets for $65. I decided to open all the pantyhose/tights at the store to check for defect and they were perfect! I'm a hard and picky customer and I couldn't be more pleased with Daphnie's exceptional service. She was amazing, patient, helpful, full of tips and not a pushy sales woman. After exchanging the first pantyhose and buying the rest of the tights, I rushed to the hotel room to try them on. Ohhh, let me tell you... I am in love!!!! The Satin Touch are like silk on your skin! It's extremely soft and comfortable. They fit me just right. I think I can even wear a Large instead of XL. The Velvet Deluxe are heavenly as well. I can immediately tell that these are excellent quality. The Quaint fishnet are my second favorite after the Satin 20 in sand. I didn't really care for the regular fishnets and I would rather buy another funky fishnet for cheaper and without the top control. Daphne was great and even added me to their mailing list so I could know when they have sales! I know I spent a good amount on these bad boys, but I know they will last a while and because they were pricey it will motivate me to take care of them! Best hosiery in the whole wide world. They got sexy, and practical and WARM. Remember, warm is important :) You can look fantastic and feel your toes at the same time. What else can a girl ask for? i had a miserable experience at the Wolford Copley location. My husband had a conference in Boston and I decided to accompany him for the day and treat myself to a "me" day. While leaving the Copley Mall I stopped into the Wolford store to replenish my nylons and try on some of the beautiful green and pink clothes that had caught my eye in the window. The two blonde women working there were very trendy which gave me hopes as to some suggestions on outfits. After picking out some blouses and skirts I was ready to go into the fitting room. While trying the clothing on the two clerks completely ignored me, choosing to gossip frivolously, practically running behind the counter to return to their laptop rather than acknowledging me and my needs. For the money i was prepared to spend I was not pleased having to essentially yell for their attention while in the dressing room. I've gotten better customer service at Banana Republic and Ann Taylor. From now on I will just stick to buying Wolford in the Soho store in Manhattan, Neimen Marcus, or online. read more

Finally wearing the correct bra size thanks to the help received at this Wolford in the Coply. If it weren't for the customer service I received at this store I would have spent the rest of my life not looking and feeling so fabulous. So a few days later switching between old pantyhose and Wolfords. The run isn't horrible and the stockings are so much better than any brand I've tried before. The top fits and doesn't curl up. I am on my fourth pair of hosiery (tights) from this store. They are very well made, uniquely patterned and eye catching. I have gotten MANY compliments on my purchases from this store. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this store to someone who is finicky about their hosiery! My mother is a puritan. As a consequence I never learned how to do girly stuff or have secrets about putting concealer on passed down to me. I always had to learn on my own, find on my own, try on my own. I walk into Wolford. It's a Monday, a very awful hot Monday at that. I'm tired, flustered, and have my partner in tow. The store is nicely organized, clothes and under garments towards the entrance, tights around the far wall. There is a table with a leather bin which is full of metal-ringed samples. I start to fumble through the bin. I don't know what I'm looking for.....there are too many choices, everything starts looking the same. Enter Vanessa. She asks me how I am, in a cheery happy voice (not the usual sales person voice coupled with a fake smile). I tell her generally what I want. Basic tights, that are light and match my skin color. She immediately picks up exactly what I'm looking for and starts explaining the differences between the thickness (denier) and content as compared to the other tights. I see that she's helpful and attack with stupid annoying questions that I've always had about tights but was afraid to ask (with a puritan mother who does not care about the aesthetics of tights, one keeps a lot in). Vanessa kept answering, showing me tricks (like how to get rid of those annoying small pulls on black tights), and explaining which tights are wonderful, work well, and last long (allegedly 10-12 years!?) and which ones customers try to return because they just rip immediately. She didn't push anything on me nor hover, just amazed me with her honesty, helpfulness, and great attitude. I bought what I needed. And walked out of the store happy and content, which is impressive considering that I hate shopping in person because it's usually a painful experience highly reminiscent of my abandoned while at the same time smothered childhood. They also have footsies, special washing soap, laundry bag, under garments (bras, undershirts that smooth, garters, etc), bathing suits, and general very fitting clothing that actually make you look good. Price range is $13 for footsies, $46+ for tights, $120+ for undergarments, and around $350 for the very fitting clothes that actually make you look good. read more

I wanted to love Wolford. I went out of my way to pay an inexplicable amount of money for tights because of all the wonderful things I had heard about them. The staff person who helped me was very sweet and spent a lot of time explaining the different types and giving me her recommendations. I purchased two pairs, one was the sheer Individual 10 style, which I intended to wear for an event the following night. The other, the Satin Opaque 50 style wasn't available in my desired size in brown so she offered to send it to me, free of charge and they arrived within a week. Wonderful. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. The next night, I got home from my event and there was a run from my toe to my hip on one of the legs. I actually felt kind of funny complaining about getting a run in stockings, but after all the amazing reviews about people having these for ten years, it just didn't make sense. As soon as I told the salesperson what happened she said "No, that shouldn't happen." She explained that they had gotten a "bad batch" and that she thought they'd weeded them all out, but I must have gotten one of them. She said to just bring them in for an exchange, no problem. In the meantime, after wearing my other pair a couple of times, I noticed a large "furry" patch on one of my inner ankles. This also seems wrong for $45 tights. When I finally got back there, I brought both pairs, but the salesperson seemed more skeptical of me than the girl on the phone. I spent $90 on tights, both of which are damaged after 1-2 wears, I don't also want to be treated like I'm trying to scam them. She tells me that the brown pair is prone to the "furry" damage if you wear boots due to the satin texture. Ok, well, they are fall weight tights. Of course I'm going to be wearing boots. She says I can trim it off with a razor blade. Given my track record with these tights just doing normal things, the last thing I am doing is putting a razor blade anywhere near them. She begrudgingly took back the sheer pair, but they did not have my size again, so she took my info and said she would ship it to me. That was on December 7. Now I've made two trips to Copley, I have one pair of tights that I don't wear because I don't want it to look like I'm growing mold on my ankle, another pair that I no longer even have in my possession, and $90 fewer dollars in my pocket. Nothing about this experience makes me want to ever shop there again or recommend it to anyone else. I have tights that I bought several years ago at Target that have held up just fine so I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more
