5 stars if it was non smoking. None of my friends will go here because they rightfully care about their health and the way they smell after leaving. I like this place but the smoke is a real downer. Not sure why the smokers can't go outside on the patio? Server outside 10/22/21 at about 8pm has a bad attitude. No smile, no greeting, basically impatient with a snotty look on face.

Have to return to get my crawfish fix. They have proven to have a good flavor even though they are always smaller than other restaurants. Always smells like smoke, and doesn't have the greatest service. Only go for crawfish, but other items look okay too. read more

This was okay but not something I would recommend. I booked two weeks in advance for a party of 15 or more including five kids and I only had one waitress. I thought since I booked so far in advance they would be prepared. But they wasn't it was not that busy for a Saturday night and a 18% gratuity was a little bit high I believed. At the recommendation of my good friend, Wolfies supposedly has good crawfish and cold beer. We decided to take the kids for a late lunch and thought the service would complement the food. The drinks were cold as that were the only things we got. The waitress ignored our table and never even took our order. In fact, the owner/manager had to step in to help and brought us our beer. We chose an outside table and seated ourselves. It took our multi-colored hair waitress a longer than normal to take our drinks order (flag). About twelve minutes passed before we got our drinks and another two before the manager brought the beer (flag number 2). About 15 minutes passed when a family of four were seated at an empty table next to us and their drink order were taken. Keep in mind, our multi-colored hair waitress still has not taken our food order yet. A few minutes later, the family seated at the table next to us got their drinks brought to them by the manager, followed by the multi-colored hair waitress who proceeded to take their order. If I didn't stop the waitress and asked if she was ever going to take our order, we still would be waiting. At this time, we decided to close our tab and go somewhere else. On the way out, I spoke to the manager/owner and he swore the waitress is one of his best servers. I guess she is so good that she can't handle five tables without asssistance from the manager. This place is alright. Been here a couple times and it's a hit or miss with service. Gave it a four stars because the last visit was the hit for service. I came in with a group of about 7 people and the waitress took care of drinks quickly. She also got our order in and out to the table fairly quickly considering all the other people there that day. Food was good, not the best I've had but good enough for the Friday night drink and grub. They always have a shot of the month. I love the crawfish at this place! Dined last night and even though it was incredibly busy the food came quickly! Staff was great and accommodating of our large party and small baby! I would skip this particular location. The service used to be good, but has definitely declined in the last few months. Food rarely comes out hot or even fresh. A couple of times the glasses were dirty and drinks had to be sent back. Beer has been flat. This review is based on going there 4 to 5 times in the last couple of months, usually on Wednesday's for wings. You can tell the staff don't work together. It takes a very long time for them to clear tables and run food. You can see the food sitting for a while. We saw staff there walk over garbage on the floor all night, and no body bothered to clean it. I had always seen signs for Wolfies and heard about it but never had the chance to go. I heard there are two location, but my friend recommended this one. I honestly have no desire to go back. It took the waitress about 6 minutes to approach the table. She seem really "off" as well. I tried the crawfish (which I am not a fan of anyways) and it was dry and disgusting. I ordered shrimp for myself and my taste buds just wasn't feeling that either. There wasn't a lot of seasoning on the shrimp and that's probably why I didn't enjoy it.The margarita on the other hand was decent but that was about it. They have good all day deals here. The wings are your best bet, on wednesdays. Very big wings, I like the sauce and they have a nice crispiness to them. Before today I have been to Wolfies about 4 times over the last 3 years & each time only for crawfish. Today the crawfish were good , as always. Fyi, corn & potatoes come with the crawfish. Today I also decided to branch out & ordered an entree form their menu. I order blackened catfish. For the two sides I got potato salad & green beans. The catfish was blackened the way it should be, cooked on a very hot surface with perfect seasoning. Many places serve a poor excuse for blackened fish taking a short cut & just sprinkle mediocre seasoning on sauteed fish. The generous portion of blackened catfish here was first class & tasted superb. Interestingly, the green beans were also very, very good. The other side I got was potato salad, it was quite good, much better than most. It reminded me of the Member's Mark potato salad one can purchase at Sam's club which I purchase often. I rate the food here significantly higher than 3 out of 5 stars. I can easily rate them a 4. Regarding the waitstaff, hopefully Brie will be waiting on you. I've tried Wolfie's several times. The first thing you want to know is avoid the 1960 location. It's ghetto. But if that's your thing by all means go for it. The 249 location is much better. But everything is average at best about this place. I can just feel half way effort is put into things: menu, food presentation, service and even decor. Some of the food is just straight up bland. The atmosphere is usually partially deflated here and things just feel trite overall. It's not bad. Just fails to impress at everything. The overall place, staff and menu needs a proverbial shot in the arm. There's better places in the area. Having said that, I'd give them another chance if they'd work to improve. read more

I struggled between 2 & 3 stars. Came here on a Tuesday night & they had Crawfish for 4.49/lb. Great price but they were average size. I am not thrilled with the idea that they charge you for drawn butter. The price is minimal but it just seems like you would just roll it into the price of the food. It makes me feel like I am being nickled and dimed. Also, I was not impressed with the drink specials. The Hurricane I had just was not impressive at all, no real kick to it, so I ordered a Margarita. The service was average. We had a large group so the gratuity was automatically added to our bill. First time in: we were asked for our drink order quickly by a friendly waitress. We ordered the Wolfies Trio to split (crawfish, shrimp, and crab legs) and added an extra lb of crawfish. It was beautiful and inviting when it came, and everything had great flavor and was easy to peel. This is about the third time I came to Wolfie's 249 Cypress TX location. Date is 10/10/22 - walked in and you can sit in bar to the right and tables to the left. We decided bar. Sat at table in bar and waited a couple minutes and no one comes so I stand up to go get menu. We decide on what we are going to eat and wait about 3 to 5 minutes and no one comes. Stand up and walk to other side and ask girl that was sitting at the table if she was the waitress. She said yes. So we move over there she takes her order she brings us our drinks then a few minutes later brings our food. The food is very good but my drink was empty so I turned and the girl was sitting at another table and I looked at her but she never came. A couple minutes later I turned and looked at her because we were needing boxes for our food but she never came. A few minutes later I get up and walk to the counter to find my own boxes that's when the girl decides to stand up. So the service is very bad you have to wait on yourself or you get no refills like I did. So I don't think I'll be there anymore. read more

To be honest, I have had anything else on the menu, the crawfish keeps me happy (when its in season). The service is hit or miss, they have some really bad waitstaff (you know the kind, your drinks are all empty and he/she is sitting in a both texting and conversing with friend), and some are great.
