Based on testimonials of four wheel students, it's probably an excellent school. I was a student for CDL class A. This is a school for those who needs flexible hours. Not all of us with jobs are able to go to school based on work hours. If flexible hours is what you're looking for to get your CDL, this school is for you. You will get your CDL quickly; provided you have self discipline. If you don't have self discipline, find a school with structure. The structure of this school is roughly this: go to the computer lab and study for your permit. When you get your permit, you'll go to the class with Bart. At any time, you're allowed to go for observation at the yard at East Elgin. That's a different location. If that's not a problem for you, you're good to go. You'll be given a class A manual to study. Make sure to study well. You'll be tested and pass it before(I don't know if that's still the case) you can schedule to drive. As I have stated, this is a good school for those seeking flexible hours. You have better option if you want a school to teach you thoroughly. I didn't like wolf if you're asking me. Where I went to school for my CDL, I can't believe that what I learned there was not taught at wolf. I spent $1990 to go to wolf. I wish I would've not been hesitant to pay $500 more to go to the school where I got my CDL. Wolf have their pros and cons. My statement is just a snipet. It's your choice where you spend your money. I had to take a CDL driving class so I would be able to start a career. I went through a bunch of places and found good reviews on Wolf driving school. Thank god I gave it a shot because they had amazing instructors and were able to get me through school. My three favorite people there were Kevin, Mark, and Terry. All three of these guys made sure I always knew what I was doing. They always had answers for my questions and never let me leave confused. Mark and Kevin were so great working as driving instructors. If it was not for them I am not sure I would have learned as well as I did. The teacher Bart has so much energy everyday even though he is talking about the same thing every day. Over and over again. He makes things interesting and fun. He adds his joke in there too. My child came home every night saying he didn't really learn anything. The instructors weren't even around half the time and one instructor would get calls from his girlfriend (also worked there I believe) and they'd make out in the back while vidoes/powerpoints were being shown. They also screwed up filing with the Secretary of State so we had to go to DMV twice to get license. Might be a cheaper deal than other places, but definitely didn't prepare my child for driving. Signed up an employee for training. Company paid immediately via credit card. 8 days later we cancelled due to termination of employee. Wolf is refusing to credit us stating there is a contract that you must cancel within 14 days. We not only did not sign a contract but notified them well within the 14 days. Finished my CDL exam today and passed with a hat trick! Aced the Pre-test, skill, and road exams on my first try. My main yard instructors Ziggy and Marek were outstanding. They were very knowledgeable and encouraging and strove to ensure I knew how to operate the vehicle correctly. In addition, Richie, Sergie, Paul and Doug (though not my main instructors) took a vested interest in my succeeding. I never fealt that my time, nor money, was being wasted at wolf. My brother went to this school, and BTW classes are nearly impossible to book, the workers are useless, ignorant people who get angry when you don't answer your phone. Please do not enroll to this driving school. I enrolled for their behind the wheel lesson and I am not satisfied of their lessonS. It is so hard to make an schedule for the behind the wheel lesson. They said they have weekends schedule but it just a big fat lie. They did not evaluate you on your driving skills and most of all they did not teach you on how the proper way to drive. They just keep you driving and waiting for your time to end. Do not think about enrolling to this driving school. You gonna waste your money for this crap. read more

Just passed and got my CDL! The teachers are such good people who encourage and always know what corrections need to be made. Jurek, Doug and Raul were phenomenal! They each have a unique style and info that adds up to get you prepared! Had a lot of fun because of the great personalities, humor and engagement i was allowed to have. Classroom instructors were great also, got to spend a lot of one on one time with Victor who slowed things down for me and worked out my problems. Only things that maybe can improve is clarification of how to go from class to yard and also hours. Overall it is a top-notch school and i recommend them! read more

DISAPPOINTING AND FRUSTRATING!!!!!!! They lie to you! They do have too many students and equipments and the instructors are not enough for the number of people they have. Just to pass the pre-inspection by the teacher, you would have to wait for looooong time. Passing the instructor's pre inspection in class is harder (just because they give you hard time ad not giving enough opportunity to take the test sooner) than passing the state examiner. Since there are so many people at the driving yard waiting for their turn to practice, they don't want you to pass onto your next test. Because they have around 30 students in one class with only one simulator. It is impossible to complete the course in 4 weeks, even though you are doing everything that is required by you. They try to hold you in the class as long as possible, because they are so crowded at the yard. They don't have any lectures which they said they have. You have only one chance to take the instructor's test in a week. Once you pass this test you are allowed to practice your driving at the yard. The office workers are horrible! Don't come to this driving school! They will waste your time and energy. Yes, they are cheap, the quality is cheap too! read more

Ok I started my journey in April of 2017 to get my cdl b but I had take a few months off of school and not knowing if I would be able to go back. I came back in March of 2018. They gave me credit for all the hours and money I put in previously which I'm great full for well the past 3 months has been a lot of hard work on me and especially my family I just got my CDL B and I say it's been a long time coming and I can rest assured that my family and my future is bright. However. I would like to add that my experience in the classroom with Kevin wasn't so good. He doesn't teach you anything.. need to get rid of him he was all talk like he had many years of truck driving but really only had 3 plus he should leave the female students alone but when Terry was in the classroom it the opposite I learned more in 1 day with him than Kevin. Give Terry a raise as far as my yard and driving time instructor. PJ by far is the best I've ever seen. He genuinely cares about his students well beyond Wolf Driving School and also a special shout out to Meuric (not sure on spelling). My daughter recently attended Wolf and it was such an awful experince. To begin with the employees in the office were very rude and completely unhelpful with the exception of one lady. As for the driving class and behind the wheel sessions, those were by far unacceptable. The driving instructor made a habit of being late to class daily and avoiding to answer any of my daughters questions. He also left the student unsupervised 50 percent of the class time to go smoke outside the office. Needless to say yhe classes were garbage and the instructor was very unpersonable and rude. He even marked my daughter absent for days she was present! The behind the wheel sessions were outstanding with one on the instructors, Doug, but awful with the other two: a lady named eva and the same guy who provided the class instruction (zchemick or sometheing like that). My daughter came home very upset, crying on one of the sessions. Honestly, this school is awful for the teen driving portion with the exception of one instructor (Doug). Look around for a different school, trust me you dont want to have to deal with these people or put your child through such an ugly experience. read more

My husband started at this school. He was put in front of a computer and told to go through the practice tests until he was able to pass the permit test at the SOS office. No teachers. He has a learning disability and has trouble reading, so this took him several weeks instead of a few days. There were no teachers that helped him with this. He could have done this at home on his own. He landed up leaving Wolf due to the lack of support/teaching and going to Eagle Training in LITH where there was an actual classroom with teachers. There were MANY people who transferred there from Wolf. Then on top of it, when it came time to file our taxes, Wolf refused to give us their EIN so we could deduct the $2090 as an education deduction where Eagle had no problem doing this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!! Spend the extra money and go to a decent school. You get what you pay for - cheap tuition - cheap education!!! read more

This driving school is rated number one but it is not by far!!! First off there are way too many students so after you spend 60 hours in the pre-trip class you are on a waiting list for 2 to 3 weeks to drive the trucks then you can only drive two hours a day because there's so many students it well take you over two months to get your CDL but the worst thing is the instructor the pretrip instructor thinks he can yell at grown man like their little kids I have kids and don't even yelled at them as much as this clown does you're already nervous and he makes it even harder he tried yelling at me so I send him to hell he told me I don't like his class I can get the hell out so that's what I did if you don't mind being yelled at like a little kid I guess this school is for you school I paid the whole fee at once I told the manager the problem I was having and I wanted at least half my money back they would not give it back so I went to the secretary of state and they made them gave it back they will try to keep your money if you do not like their school but just go see someone were you got your permit as long as you didn't start driving the truck you can get your money back I went to Viking driving school lot cheaper $2100 and you don't have to give them the whole payment at once to save money they're not over packed so as soon as you get your permit you can start driving the trucks for three hours or four hours a day I am now the proud owner of a CDL drivers license thanks to Viking driving school in Park ridge cheaper and they do not yell at you for your mistakes they just help you fix them I hope you don't make the same mistake I did and waste money on Wolf driving school good luck a cdl is life changing for the better! read more
