Make sure to ask for spice; the default (mild) had no kick. - Coconut rice ($9.95 medium) - good enough to share between four. - Small vegetable spring roll ($11.95 for 10) - came out nice and hot. Good crunch. - Pad thai with shrimp ($20.95) - standard fare. - Pad see ew with beef ($21.95) - disappointing. They don't use wide flat noodles. Skip it. - Panang with chicken ($18.95) - better of the two curries. Tasted the kaffir lime. Wish they gave more sauce. - Gang massaman with tofu ($18.95) - on the sweeter side. Potatoes and carrots were hard. Nothing blew us away at KKTR but it's the only Thai place in town.

We found this place on Google map as the Vietnamese place my friend wanted to take me is closed. So…read moremany Vietnamese restaurants are not open on Sunday and Monday here but Lynn's is open. It was not busy at all when we got here around 6 pm, with only one other table taken. There were a few take out and pick up orders when we were there. The reviews recommended the wonton soup so I had to try that. The best wonton soup I had in a Vietnamese restaurant was in vancouver and it has since ceased operations but I still remember the taste. Unfortunately the wonton soup here was ok, quite average. But if Vernon doesn't have much choices in wonton soup, it is ok to order but just don't expect to be wowed. Besides wonton, there are shrimps and veggies (broccoli and carrots). We also ordered the house spring rolls to share. It was not as crispy as I would like as I found it a bit hard to bite through the roll. My friend had his usual item of the grilled pork patty, shrimps and spring rolls on rice vermicelli (#48). He said it was ok but not as good as his favorite restaurant. Reason being it didn't have as much veggies as the other one. Service was good as the staff did come often to top up our water glass.

Most are not successful. I was a little leery trying an Indian, Chinese, Thai + middle eastern restaurant. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Our party of six had a variety of Indian and Chinese dishes. Everyone loved what they ate. My son loved the beef chow mein so much we came back the next night for him. I had the chicken chili cashew and it was flavorful and a nice size portion for the price. I would highly recommend this place. Just make sure you have somewhere else to eat unless you're lucky enough to grab a table.

The "HoneyLukey omakase secret menu"…read more I'm from Southern CA where we have THE BEST Thai food around the northern hemisphere and I also grew up on the best home made Thai. My bf found this place and it wasn't on Yelp so when we walked in the place was empty. I asked to speak to the owner and chef and had a little chit chat with her to introduce myself. Knowing that they prepare Thai food for predominantly Caucasian people, I was skeptical of ordering right off the menu as I know that Thai food prepared mainly for Caucasian food lacks the true cultural notes found in original native Thai dishes. So I got the owner on Facetime with my mom (who btw makes highly acclaimed home cooked Thai food) to tell the owner/chef to prepare only authentic Thai dishes for me. Based on what my mom disclosed as my fave Thai dishes, I asked the chef to start preparing any and all dishes she thought I might like. This menu is now called the "HoneyLukey omakase secret menu" where the chef prepares original and very authentic dishes for you until you say stop. Most dishes are not on the menu and if they are they are made on the more authentic side. Keep in mind this is not for the faint of heart. If you haven't been to Thailand and or tasted real authentic Thai food, this may not be for you. Flavors are really spicy, robust, fermented, and pungent.

As people who love Thai food, this was a truly disappointing experience for my partner and I. We…read moretried the pad Thai and Tom yum soup. The pad Thai was underwhelming, lacking acid, herbs, and even the smallest amount of chili. The Tom yum was worse. For $14, we got a tiny bowl of mushrooms in a spicy broth. There was no sweetness, zing, or complexity to that broth. There were a few tiny pieces of onion and pineapple thrown in almost as an afterthought. And 3 sad overcooked shrimp. Devoid of any noodles, we were then charged a further $3 when we asked for a bowl of rice to accompany the soup. This soup was a complete ripoff. The restaurant was nice and clean, good decor. Decent service. But I won't be back to try anything else.
