Char Sui: roast pork appetizer
Ryo Hanalei Z.

I've been ordering delivery from here for a long time, so when my friend and I were in the neighborhood, I suggested we finally stop in for lunch. As soon as we walked in, the hostess seated us by the window, and I immediately noticed the mix of decor -- clean space, colorful murals (angel wings and a beach scene), Chinese lanterns, and big photos of menu favorites on the walls. It honestly gave me that nostalgic Hawaiian-Chinese house vibe I grew up with. Our waitress took our drink order, and since I basically know the menu by heart, I ordered right away: A-Special plate + Gau Gee (my forever favorite). The meal started with wonton soup -- hot broth, flavorful dumplings, exactly how it should be. The gau gee came out crispy and packed with filling, just like I remembered. My plate looked delicious: * Char siu pork - tasty, slightly on the dry side * Sweet & sour pork - saucy with crunchy veggies and pineapple * Pork fried rice - classic and solid * Beef with vegetables - mild, but a splash of shoyu fixed it fast My friend ordered the Hawaiian BBQ plate, and wow... the portions were huge. Big cuts of kalbi, bulgogi, BBQ chicken, and a scoop of mac salad that felt straight out of Honolulu. Everything felt generous, comforting, and familiar. We wrapped up with fortune cookies and watched customers come in -- lots of regulars, which says a lot. If you're craving Chinese food, Hawaiian plate lunch vibes, or both, Wo Fat is the spot. I'm glad I finally ate here in person -- the food and the atmosphere hit the spot. I hope you give this place a try and enjoy a good experience.

3. Mongolian Beef Lunch Special

there's tons of food and beverage items that's posted on the walls of the restaurant and in the menu but today i was interested in their lunch special. this year marks 35 years since this restaurant has been open and even though the economy sucks right now they maintain to keep prices low. staff is always so welcoming when i come in and service is fast. food is filling but kind of greasy like all chinese take out food. today i had mongolian beef lunch special served with egg flower soup, fried rice, and wonton chips, yum !! lunch special is $9.25 per person from opening 11am to 3pm

My grandparents took me here and it was great. Food is tasty and family style portions for a great price. You know the food is going to be great when you see pictures all over the wall! Bring the family and friends!

Oyster sauce chicken with cake noodle. Looks like left over chicken. We ordered 3 different plates for three different people. This was my order when I opened it.

Second time here. Food is pretty close to Chinese food in Hawaii. Waitresses were very polite but the dishes were slow to come. Portions were good and the taste was good. Not sure if we would come back

My family and I have been dining here for 15+ years. We enjoy the service, the food and ambiance. We have seen some changes over the years they added new food items to the menu with keeping the original menu and renovated to add the expansion of the restaurant. All the years we have been here we've all been content even with the health district inspections and the pandemic we still continue to dine here with no complaints and it's good to see the staff since way back then they know us as regulars. It's good to see that Wo Fat restaurant is still operating in business and we will continue to support them. Keep up the good work Team. Our go to's: Hot and Sour Soup Egg Flower Soup Chicken Corn Soup Crispy Kau Chee Cake noodles with a variety of toppings (depends what we feel like eating). Fried Rice with a variety of toppings (depends what we feel like eating). Pork Chow Fun Minute Chicken Beef with Bitter-Melon Roast Duck Kau-Yuk (Chinese Pot Roast Pork) Buns Cold Ginger Chicken Sweet and Sour Shrimp/Pork/Chicken Plain Pork Hash Egg Fu Young with a variety (depends what we feel like eating). Shrimp with Honey Walnuts

It's a classic, maaaan

China Mama on Spring Mountain was an absolute jewel of a discovery!…read moreThis was our first visit while searching for a great Chinese restaurant here in Las Vegas, and we were extremely impressed. The menu is very reasonably priced, with generous selections and excellent value. We ordered the crispy beef, and it was absolutely fantastic--crispy, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The hot and sour soup was beyond belief, packed with flavor and easily one of the highlights of our meal. We also shared the vegetable fried rice, which was amazing. My wife normally doesn't enjoy Chinese food nearly as much as I do, but even she couldn't stop raving about how delicious the fried rice was. That alone says a lot! Overall, we had a wonderful experience: excellent food, affordable prices, a great neighborhood Chinatown atmosphere, and fantastic service. For anyone in Las Vegas who loves great Chinese food, I would absolutely recommend giving China Mama a try before looking elsewhere. Thank you to the entire team. We will definitely be back!

We arrived about 730pm on a Sunday night and had maybe a 10 minute wait. Not bad at all. It was fun to get a peek into their kitchen to see how things were made. Watching the noodles get twisted and even knife cut by hand was so cool and added to the experience. Now to the food. The food was off the charts good. The potstickers may be the best I have ever had. How they were fried and served they had the perfect crisp and taste. My DanDan noodle were amazing. She says they serve them at a spice level of 8. I love spice and a little heat and thought they were spot on. If you don't like heat and spice you may want to choose to dial it down. I liked getting the knife cut noodles as I had seen them being cut just minutes before. My buddy had the beef broth dish and he was not disappointed.

The business manager responded to my review, and unfortunately, the response made my experience…read morewith this restaurant even more disappointing. He was defensive and passive-aggressive, with several clearly sarcastic/dismissive lines. To clarify, I ordered crispy beef and egg fried rice for pickup. I understand that fried food can lose its crispiness during takeout, which is why I didn't make a huge issue out of the beef being soggy. My bigger issue was the egg fried rice. What I received was essentially white rice with pieces of egg. When I mentioned that it looked and tasted nothing like the egg fried rice pictured on their online ordering site, the business manager responded that he wasn't sure what else they were supposed to put in egg fried rice besides "eggs and white rice." although the site clearly shows green onions. He also suggested that I order the house combo if I wanted more ingredients. That's not really the point--I ordered egg fried rice, not a house combo, and expected the item to resemble what was advertised. As for the soup, I understand that it is hot and sour soup, not sweet and sour soup. My review was about the fact that I personally found the taste unpleasant, not that I expected it to be sweet and sour. The response also suggested that my crispy beef became soggy because of the time between pickup and eating. However, I picked it up, drove approximately three minutes back to the hotel, and ate it immediately. I had also already waited past my original pickup time because the order was pushed back. I don't expect every restaurant to be perfect, and I understand that takeout food can differ from dining in. What bothered me more was the response to legitimate criticism. Rather than acknowledging the discrepancy between what was advertised and what I received.

From looking at the reviews and menus of many places, this seemed to be the most authentic, then when I walked in, saw the sites, smelled the smells, and saw the others dining inside, I knew I selected the right place. The guy working was helpful and gave good info on the menu and ingredients they use in various dishes, which was great. We started with their garlic cucumbers and they were fantastic! Such great flavor, really fresh, and sooo tasty!! We then got their Sautéed cabbage with dry chili pepper - This dish was outstanding! Such great flavor and the cabbage leaves were so fresh. Highly recommend this one!! Lastly, I tried their Chicken with Red and Green Pepper, because our server said it was really spicy. It was definitely spicy, but lacked depth of flavor, which was disappointing, as I was undecided between this and their chili oil beef.... Guess I should've gotten the beef. I wish they would have had some cumin options, but not the toothpick cumin lamb, not sure what that's all about, because I don't want each bite to have to be slid off a toothpick. Overall - very nice Szechuan style food here... If you want a good, authentic Chinese experience, come here!
