There's a reason this shop is all 5 stars. Mike is one of the best out there. He's a super honest guy trying to make an honest dollar. My first interaction with Mike was calling and requesting outrageous brake upgrades and he immediately squashed the idea... he asked what I was looking to get from upgrading and instead suggested a much more conservative (and cheaper) path. Could have easily upsold me, but decided he'd rather only sell me what I need. I didn't end up needing brakes, but I have gone to Mike for everything else my car has needed over the past two years - every time the work was more than excellently done and at a reasonable cost. Work he's done for me: - oil changes - inspections and minor repairs - minor and major Audi services - ECU tune - body work (both accident repair and cosmetic) My only complaint in the beginning was that Mike is hard to reach via the phone - but that was before I realized that the best way to get ahold of him is through email (to which he's much more reasonably responsive). I'm posting this review now because I'm moving out of state, but I'm really going to miss having Mike as a mechanic. The least I could do was point the next customer his way... read more

Enough good things can't be said about the treatment I got here. I originally brought my Tesla Model 3 here to get my coilovers and suspension installed. Mike and his team did amazing work on it, but I also talked to Mike if he could look into a check engine light that my 911 was having. Mike gave me a great detailed inspection report and was very honest telling me that that the light wasn't a major concern when he could've easily told me that it'll be a several thousand dollar bill. I can't even express the amount of appreciation I have for mike. I have a diesel Jetta and finding a diesel mechanic was almost impossible until I came across WMS Automotive. I had my car towed to them. Not knowing exactly what was wrong with my car but assumed it was my fuel pump. He went ahead and did an exception on my car and found my fuel pump sensor and pressure fuel pump completely not working. He took the responsibility into his own hands and ran my VIN number. Turns out my car was still under warranty and I had no idea. Not only did he do the research his self but he took it even further and contacted a VW dealership to have it checked for recall. And he found my car was apart of the recall. He had them tow my car to the dealership and work on it almost immediately. As soon as it was ready he had them even tow it back to his shop for it to be easier for me to pick it up. I'm speechless from the amount of kindness and honestly Mike holds. I have been coming to WMS for years now with all of my BMW service needs. Mike and the guys at WMS do such an amazing job and I am always satisfied with the work done. I have taken my car to the BMW dealership and gotten very high estimates for minim work needed to be done. Mike is great at explaining in detail the work needed to be done (since I am not a car savvy person) and in a way that I can understand. He never over charges, in fact his work is below dealership prices and very thorough work. The vibe in the shop is very welcoming and they always treat the customer right. I have never had an issue with customer service, in fact they offer excellent customer service. Every time I come to The shop they are slammed with high priced exotic cars getting crazy custom work and Mike always makes time for my car. It's nothing fancy compared to the Ferrari's, Lambo's, Bentley's, Porches, or GTR's in their shop. And recently I got a new car so not much work needs to be done but Mike was able to do some custom work on my car like tint, black out my rims, & illuminate my BMW emblem. Busted the accessory belt on my E61 535xi. Limped it in to Bob Smith BMW, and they said my alternator was ok but the battery was done, the water pump was gone, the AC compressor was gone, and I overheated my heads and would likely need a rebuild. They quoted me $6400 *without* the head work. No thanks. Flatbedded the car to WMS. Yes, alternator was fine (I have no idea how Bob Smith tested it with a the broken acc belt, but whatever). Battery is fine (light went on only because the acc belt went). Water pump isn't even ON the acc belt. The fan is clutch driven, so it is impossible I overheated anything. Mike @ wms set me up, gave me a loaner, replaced the acc belt and installed a brand new AC compressor (and vacc'd/recharged the system) for a fraction of what Bob Smith quoted me. All in a timely fashion with zero drama. Thank you Mike and thanks, WMS. read more

They need to work on their customer service. I went in to ask a simple question and what the price would be and all the guy told me was that they were completley booked and could not help me. I understand that they would not have been able to see me, however all I wanted to do was obtain some information and possibly set an appointment. They just brushed me off and went in the opposite direction. If I saw the name of the man that did this I would post it here but he turned off to quick so I regress. However I cant say this is the same for every one of their employees so maybe ill have to try again sometime though as far as first impressions go they ruined it for me, Customer service and quality work are number one for any business and I dont see many places perform well when they can not offer one or the other. My Audi allroad was desperately in need of a timing belt service, and I was running out of affordable options fast. After two independent "German" car shops turned me down....owner Mike undercut the dealer price by a whopping $600 and I made the 3-hour haul to see them. Very comfortable waiting room has darts, pool, lots of magazines free Wi-Fi and even DVD movies too. Audi Factory trained service tech Justin is so adept and methodical in his procedures on my car - he was able to perform the entire job in a record 3.5 hours! They even flashed my ECU for an additional 60hp gain - and all I can say is WOW!!!! I highly doubt any German car shop can even come close to Wicked's straightforward, no-BS approach to fast service and professionalism. These guys are the absolute BEST in all of Southern CA...AND I'll drive another 3 hours just to see them again!!!! read more

My car recently fell out of warranty, so I started looking for a mechanic. Wicked has done work on my father's Audi and my dad has been pleased with their work, so I called them up. The dealership wanted to charge me a huge amount of money to do some maintenance work. When I called up Wicked Motorsports, Mike said he doesn't generally work on Mazdas, but I told him what I needed done, he looked up if he could get the parts and he could, so he said to bring it by. Not only did he do everything for less than the dealership, he also got me four new tires at a great price. My car is running much better now and I have complete trust in the work that was done. Mike took the time to explain everything to me, give me clear estimates for cost, let me make decisions for what I wanted to do, and took the time to answer any of my questions I had. He even stayed long after they had closed because I was running late from work and then he spent the time looking up tires and pricing for me. They might not be the cheapest, but they are definitely not the most expensive either. They know their stuff, they take their time, and produce quality work I know I can trust. WMS is my new go to for my Audi S4. After many years of taking my car to a local mechanic friend who works out of his garage, I finally told myself I needed to go to a real pro who has experience with my kind of car. [no disrespect to home mechanics at all - mine is great, just not an Audi guy]. After combing through google and yelp, I finally decided to give WMS a call. Not going to lie, the pictures of the foreign cars helped persuade me. I immediately got into contact with the owner, Mike, and right away knew that he was going to be a good fit. First, he listened to what my issues were - oil and coolant leak. He then said he would send his guys out that day to check it out at my house as he didn't want to risk me driving. What makes his customer service above anything I've ever dealt with before is he sent his guys over to take a look and some pictures to give him a better idea of what's wrong, but at no point did Mike say "its going to cost X amount for the inspection" or "you will need to send it to the shop after". He told me he just wanted to know the issue and he could give me an idea of the type of work it would need - with no commitment from me that I would even get it fixed there. BUT THATS NOT ALL. After his guys checked it out and he was able to give me a rundown of what he thought needed to be done, he then offered to send his truck to pick it up FOR FREE and deliver to his shop - not to FIX it - but just to get a better look. Again, no commitment. He even said if you don't like what I find or the price, then he would drop the car back off to my house AT NO CHARGE. Unbelievable. Needless to say, I took the offer and hired him for the job. I have had the car back for a few months and everything is buttoned up tight - no issues or leaks. Which is exactly what you would expect from a shop, so that's not what stands out here. WMS is special because of the amazing customer service that I wrote above. The transaction beyond that was very smooth and without set backs. Mike was also continuously in contact with me, even during the Holiday season. On top of it all, the job was actually partially at fault of a previous insurance claim, which he helped me through the process as well. Step by step. His prices are fair, especially for the work and service you are getting (dont let the foreign cars scare you!). I would pay a premium to get the kind of confidence I am getting from WMS, but it's not required here. Lastly, when I finally met Mike in person, you can really see the passion he has for cars from the way he speaks about your car, his projects, and the other cars he has in his shop. He is also very proud and passionate about his business, and obviously his customers. Hearing the history of the shop was just another assurance that my car was in good hands as it is apparent that this is a passion project and not a money grab. I have nothing but great things to say about Mike and WMS. I was really taken aback by how great the customer service is - it really is unprecedented in my experience. I don't usually do reviews but definitely had to for Mike and WMS, my 2006 Jetta Gli needed some work done. Mike was able to break everything down for me as far as parts and labor and cost. He truly does know VW and how to treat the customers right. The work on my car was a one day job and he let me borrow one of his cars for the day. When I came to pick my car up all the work was explained to me as well as charges. I'm confident that my car now is running as if it was brand new. He also did other work that he didn't charge for cleaned my engine, secured my engine cover, washed my car. Couldn't be happier with the work. Highly recommended! I recently bought a used 2002 VW Golf TDi at a dealership in Van Nuys. Since I'm no car expert, prior to buying it, I took it to WMS to have it inspected. For a mere $125, Mike took my car for a road test followed by a VERY thorough once over, which helped me make a thoughtful decision about the vehicle's condition based on his vast experience with VW, Porsche, Audi, Nissan, BMW, etc. I immediately felt at ease with Mike and the staff as everything was explained to in layman's terms, which gave me the confidence I wanted to have before making a buying decision on a used car. To be specific, he was able to tell that there was no structural damage (despite a few repainted panels - he could tell that the clearcoats were different on various panels, which I found particularly impressive), the drivetrain and transmission were in great shape and that the engine only needed a new harness for some hoses and a new timing belt along with a wheel well liner. He also told me what the car was actually worth based on the work required to get it into tip top condition. Knowing this info helped me negotiate a lower price from the dealership I purchased it from, and more than made up for the inspection fee. I'm very happy with my repairs, the level of service I received and my overall experience at the shop. I'll be back every 3,500 miles for service, no question! read more

About 7 years ago I found WMS by accident. They were across the street from my tire shop and i saw the Audi rings on the building si drove over to check it our. First thing I noticed was that you could eat off the floor. Second, after 15 minutes I know I was talking to a master mechanic.
