So, my dumpster doesn't get emptied on Thursday. I'm looking out the window at the garbage truck leaving my lot and thinking to myself, "he's a little late today". Couple hours later I go out to shut the gate and see that it hasn't been emptied. What's up? Call up Waste Management to find out why and am told that the dumpster is pushed too far back and the driver can't reach it. He's the one that put it there the week before but I digress. I am told by your employee that you will come out that day and empty it at no charge. NO CHARGE!!! I went right out and bought a lottery ticket because this must be my lucky day! Made sure the area was blocked off so no customers could park in the way and pushed the FULL dumpster up as far as I could (pictures below). Friday morning I show up and, hmmmm, dumpster is still full. Call up Waste Management again to find out what happened. I am told the driver came back at 11:35am and the dumpster was still in the same spot and the driver could not reach it (lie #1). Explained how that was impossible because I moved it forward AND I was here at 11:35am and didn't remember seeing them. Transferred to a manager and explained my circumstance and was told the dumpster was too far back when they came by. I asked to see the picture that the driver took of the dumpster and was told by Tara Domres that she would send it to me. I specifically requested again that I wanted to see the picture the driver took at 11:35am when they came back the second time. Tara confirmed they had that picture (lie #2) and that the driver still could not reach the dumpster. I requested to be sent the picture while we were on the phone together so we could discuss it. Tara emailed the picture and when I received it I told her that it was the picture from the 7am attempt not the 11:35am attempt. Tara then told me that she didn't have a picture from 11:35am attempt (and the truth shall set you free!!!) and that she had no record of the driver coming back out at 11:35am! (now I see what's happening) Tara said that if the driver did come back by it was a courtesy of him and not required (guess I can throw out that lottery ticket). Now it was going to cost $14 to come back out. Did I want that? (well yeah, the dumpsters full). I still don't understand how you can operate this way....I'd be closed if I lied to my customers this way. read more
