Unfortunately, we thought our American home warranty was sending reputable technicians to fix our appliances and after 2 visits from Alex and then a new company was sent for the 3rd visit to try and resolve our ice maker issue, all was made clear. It's not my role to know what is going on. WM declined the request for the 3rd time so a new company was sent. I explained how they first replaced the water line, then installed a new ice machine, and still no ice. The new tech & company, William, removed the bottom piece to the fridge and instantly he knew what the problem was: the wiring in the door had been severed and that's why the ice maker was not working, the ice maker didn't need to be replaced but the entire freezer door. The MMAB tech recommended to American Home the fridge should be replaced which I am in the process of doing, but my additional gripe is the amount received was reduced by the three visits plus materials installed. I felt WM should be held accountable for the misdiagnosis since it seems they were just troubleshooting since they knew they would get paid and it cost me time and money towards having a full working fridge. I would not recommend this company. They seem nice, but I don't know if they really know how to fix appliances efficiently plus they leave behind their debris in a pile. I have other home services and they always take it away with them. I have made American Home Warranty my disappointment with this technician referral and advised they should vet who they send. After working with a big company where they failed to render complete services (paid almost $600) - so glad Will was able to come through. He and another staff member of the company, were highly professional. Quick to respond for timely matters, very skilled at what he did for us, and 100% integrity in doing what we requested. We had a broken dishwasher appliance, and discovered there was some sort of water leak issue that appeared to be related to the garbage disposal in the kitchen. They were able to arrive in a timely manner, kept good communication during the whole process, uninstalled the appliance, later picked up the old broken one, installed the new one. Total came out to be $280. Despite my worries something might go wrong during the process, they eased my worries by being highly professional. WM Appliances has been a lifesaver. They will absolutely be in mind , for any future sudden appliance repair or replacement/install operations. read more

Never use this company irrespective of going through insurance or not. Totally unreliable in quality of service, response and the workmanship. Used this company to fix a noise issue in my refrigerator. They charged $500+ to replace several parts and the technician Willian said now your refrigerator is a s good as new. In three months, the same problem came back. They aren't much responsive now. After repeated requests and calls, they sent a new technician who said that they need to redo everything again as those part(previously replaced) may have defects. Let's see where we go from here. One advice - stay away from this company. They don't know what they are doing and they are dishonest people. They are just wasting your time, energy, and money. I would leave no star if that was an option. They were sent to my home by my home warranty company to repair a refrigerator. They visited several times and they were late every single visit. They tried to diagnose the problems with my refrigerator but couldn't identify the problem which had caused them to revisit multiple times (including one time no show which was blamed to a system issue) After wasting more than a month with them, they literally told my home warranty company that they couldn't identify issues as there were multiple WM appliance technicians involved and they don't want to be responsible for each other's works. I don't know if they are in collusion with the home warranty companies to cheat customers or what. Otherwise, Just couldn't believe how a business can survive. read more

They sent him here from the home warranty company and he gave me the run around for weeks, saying he was going to go out of his way, do me a favor, replace my kitchen fan, complete the job, blah blah blah. He was also very rude on the phone to both me and the warranty company. Months later my hood still wasn't fixed. I had to cancel the whole order and pay out of pocket. One of my burners hadn't been working for months and I finally called WM Appliances for a repair. They were the first to respond from the Yelp quote requests and gave a very fair flat rate quote for the work. They were able to come out the same day, but I used their website to easily schedule an appointment for later in the week. Willian arrived in the appointment window and got right to it. The stove was fixed quickly and didn't require any parts. He was very honest and explained that he wasn't going to charge me for a full appointment since it was a quick job. I appreciated him not overcharging for the work. And he did a great job. Not only repaired the damaged burner, he also cleaned out the others so the entire cooktop is as good as new! Not sure these folks want my business. First response to my inquiry about installing a Bosch dishwasher was good: I booked an appointment online and the tech was able to come a day before. He seemed concerned about getting some minor installation hardware, but said he'd get back with answers and scheduling. It's now been a week (not counting July 4th and 5th). Given their phone menu, I think they get most of their business from home warranty work, so jobs like mine are low priority. If you have a home warranty, sure, give them a try. read more

Our dishwasher was broken (perpetually draining) and we were put in contact with WM Appliances through insurance. Willian came over twice - first to diagnose the issue, and second, with a new part, to fix it. The issue took a few weeks to resolve, but Willian was easy to contact, and thorough, and effective. Logistics: He provided us a 4-hour window during which we was expected to arrive on a certain day, and I made sure to be home. He called when he was 30 min out so I could be prepared, which was super helpful. I was able to text and call him during this time and he was prompt in responding. I had some miscommunication about a meeting time the second visit and he was gracious enough to reschedule to the long weekend, driving up a long way to us. That was really great of him! Knowledge: Our first meeting was a trial-and-error diagnosis during which he also provided tips and tricks to caring for a dishwasher; that was super interesting and appreciated. Effectiveness: After about an hour of cycling through some theories and testing, he noticed a damaged part and gave clear nexts to fixing the issue. Would give zero stars if I could. It's been three weeks since the initial assessment and they have not communicated with me at all. They have also not returned any of my messages (which I left per the VM instructions). The one time I got through, I learned it took them 4 days to order the part for my washing machine. Visit/initial assessment was on 1/8/25, and they told me they ordered the part on the 12th. Since that was a Sunday, I'll go with the order not going out until the 13th. I called for an update at the end of the week and no one returned my calls. An entire week later (1/21) I spoke with my home warranty company who contracts with them. According to their records, WM had rescheduled a return visit with me on a date that had already passed. That was a lie. They never contacted me and according to all records, they didn't even have the repair part to even schedule a return to do the repair. The home warranty company also said according to a follow-up conversation the next week with WM, WM was just THEN placing the part order. That was a full week AFTER the 13th. How is that possible that someone told me the part was ordered on the 12th/13th, and then a week later they tell the home warranty company it had just been placed? In fact it still hasn't arrived as I type this review on 1/27 and it isn't "estimated" to arrive for another four days. Absolutely awful customer service. I am definitely telling people to not use them. read more

Unfortunately William installed our dishwasher incorrectly. He didn't connect the drain output to the disposal as it should be, instead he connected it to the air gap, so whenever the dishwasher drains it comes out of the air gap and runs into the sink. When contacted to try to get it resolved, he stopped returning our calls. I wish I hadn't left a 5 star review. William does not do quality work, and he doesn't stand by his work either. read more

Even after 3 weeks and 7 visits they cannot fix or listen to the customer concerns. All are always in rush to leave after 3 hours of work which is of waste because they dont fix the issue and will have to keep calling, the appointment they say is from 4 to 8 PM but come only at 7:30 and leave without fixing. If we ask they say they will call police if we dont let them go. very rude service. Makes you frustrate and goto hospital to get checked for all concerns. My husband was the one to find William through Yelp. William responded really quickly. He had space in his schedule to come right away to fix our dryer. I had prepurchased parts and he was willing to put them in for us. He tried to put in the parts I purchased from Appliance Distributor Parts I'm San Leandro on E14th. Apparently they sold me the wrong part for my dryer because the rollers did not fit. Luckily William said he might have parts at home. These guys are talented. It was a long wait for the part, but worth the wait. They replaced the gearbox on a washing machine. No easy task. Not only that but they had a scheduling conflict for the day of service and offered to come the night before instead. Worked out perfect as I didn't have to leave work the next day. These guys even did a full cleaning of the washing machine internals, while waiting for a tool to be dropped off, steam cleaner was used and it's now sanitized. I'm very impressed! read more
