This place is a blast. We went on a Friday morning when they opened and we were the only ones there for the first half hour. Having the place to ourselves allowed us to take our time and figure it out on our own without others in the way. We only freed 2 of the 4 wizards, but we stayed past the 90 minutes to figure the others out. Not sure I would enjoy it as much in a crowd, but in the off season, it was great. Wear older clothes as you will be crawling on the floor quite a bit. And no running in the mirror maze, even a brisk walk can lead to trouble. read more

Overall, this was a fun activity. I wish they had taken more time at the beginning to explain the game. They took a lot of time to explain the use of the Kindle, but we were unclear that we needed to move to all four Realms throughout the game. We didn't figure that out until later, but were still able to finish the game. There are a number of reviews that talk about the tightness of the setting and that people with claustrophobia are not able to do this. This is definitely true, but if you simply don't care for closed-in spaces but are not truly claustrophobic, you will likely be fine. I was. read more

Can't get any bette. Been to dells for years and years. This is the best, most innovative and unique attraction that changes each year. Kids and adults love it especially Harry Potter fans. Nice work read more

Great imagination, fun easy to follow (though I did need to ask the guide for guidance). Fun interactive. What a hoot. First find the wizards items, them solve the quests. Riddles are interesting. And multiple different quests. Fun, if you like wizards and elves, you will love this. read more

I actually had a better time than I thought I would have. We had a blast once we figured out what to do. We completed the advanced course freeing all four wizards with 4 minutes and 350 glimmers to spare. Our strategy was to answer all the questions in all four realms before freeing wizards. That's a flawed strategy. We nearly ran out of time and had way more glimmers (i.e. points) than required to complete the course in much less time. Basically you search through obstacles looking for hints and answers to questions. You find these "ATM" like machines throughout the course that you scan and then answer questions. The thing is it cost glimmers to scan in, so you really should wait until you answer most the questions in a realm before scanning in. It takes x quantity of glimmers to free a wizard but when you free one you get over a hundred glimmers, so you don' t really need to answer all the questions to win. However that is the fun part searching for clues and answers. We went during the off season, so it was too crowded. It takes 90 minutes to complete (and win). read more

Was a lot of fun. Gave us a chance to work on team work. Thought it was gonna be geared towards children, but turned out to be perfect for our teenagers. Joe the realm ranger was a delight. Decoration was cool ans we loved the hidden rooms. Said our large group was fine, it wasn't fine. Many people were left out. Slides had a rumble strip the was painful and felt like ot was gonna rip our pants (don't wear any clothing with rips). Easier access to the upper level, the stairs suck. The tutorial was very confusing, would be easier if the thing you had to find was in the upper level. "Lava pit" was closed and the work around wasn't very clear. Plot made 0 sense, seemed to just be a scavenger hunt more than a quest. 8/10 would recommend read more

This place is fine. And it's not just for kids. You have different missions you can go on and using a tablet you have to search different realms for the answers to the clues. There are secret rooms, easier and harder quests. It took us a little while to get the total gist of things, but they do have someone to help give you clues if you need them along the way. Lots of fun though - we'll be back! read more

The good: Was a fun way to spend an hour. With their kindle which they have dubbed the "scrindle" the directions for the game were fairly clear. The game itself is essentially a scavenger hunt with a few mind teasers. Within the game there are 4 "realms" and there are hidden doors and passages everywhere, so that's pretty cool. Me and my girlfriend ended up completing the earth quest. The bad: price is a little high for the amount of time we were allotted to spend questing. We spent $32 for the both of us for about 45 minutes of questing. The part that I found most bothersome about the entire experience was the perceived cleanliness of some of the obstacles. Some of the tunnels and secret passages had a funny smell and appeared visibly dirty. Over-all was a good experience, we will probably visit again next time we are in the Dells. read more

We did the easiest adventure since we were with our 5 year old granddaughter. She loved this. She could crawl through small spaces to find clues. It is dark inside and requires a little bit of crawling. They say there is a prize if you complete the quest. We finished and the prize was 10% off a purchase from gift shop. That isn't a prize for spending over $80. The 4 stars is due to no prize and the expense. read more

It's a blast, it's fun for the whole family. But, you gotta have kids along who can do the crawling into and under things to find the clues and the wizards. We did the advanced game, found and released all four wizards in 90 minutes, then went back and did the bonus just for fun. Just a tip, you can't do all the computer entry at one sitting, so don't wait too long to start entering your results and run out of time. The staff told us they were moving the wizards in a couple of weeks, so it'll be fun to go again and see the new spots. Now, we went in the off season, so there weren't many other people in the realms. I can see this would not be as fun when it's full and busy, you'll either never find the clues because you can't see, or you'll watch the people in front of you find them. read more

My husband and I decided to check this out. It was so much fun and a great way to spend the afternoon. The time felt like it flew by because we were really enjoying trying to find all the clues. The employees were so amazing and so helpful. read more

Absolutely Amazing!! Out of 5 stars, I wish I could give this 10 stars. I went with my husband- we're both in our mid-twenties, and we still had an absolute blast. We didn't want to leave. Out of all the the things we did at Wisconsin Dells during our 3 day trip there, Wizard Quest stood out the most. It's challenging, fun, immersive, high-tech, and completely sucks you into its atmosphere for the time you're in there. So many secret passages, crawl spaces, and it's easy to miss the passages if you're not really looking. Highly recommended. Everyone should experience Wizard Quest! read more

This is awesome! It's a pretty cheap way to have a lot of fun. It sounds a little goofy, but I'm telling you that if you go, you'll have a great time! read more

This is a fun thing to do for the whole family. The inside is really cool. My only issue was that it was very dry inside and you can't have drinks. We chose the harder quest which was actually quite difficult. I wish we could have walked around first so we could see what we were actually supposed to be doing. Destiny was our guide. She was sooo helpful. The gift store has a lot of beautiful mystical items. read more

So. Much. Fun. Way cooler than my friends and I thought it would be. Focused more on mature nerds than you gets kids. Very mystical. Truly loved it. read more

Very unique! Lots of fun and well worth the time/money especially with all the junk ripoff places in the Dells. You will not experience anything like this elsewhere. I don't want to give anything away so you just have to try it! After your first round, you will want to go right back in! read more

The first time I was here was about a year ago. We were allowed to complete all the challenges and all the realms within the 90 mins we paid for. This visit was a little bit disappointing. They have now what is called a "scrindle" that you take with you on your quest. And now you can only complete one realm in the 90 mins you pay $32 for. My boyfriend and I completed the earth quest this past week, in about 45 mins. And that was it. We were not allowed to use our remaining 45 mins to complete another quest.. Which blows. I felt cheated of my money. Hope they change their rules. read more

Can't say enough good things! Took my 8 and 6 year old sons here and they LOVED it. I had to help them with most of the clues, but they loved running around solving the puzzles. It's also SUPER affordable compared to other activities in town. A can't miss experience! read more

Loved every moment! The staff was helpful. The concept was entertaining and kept us engaged. We were never bored. The set up/facility was incredible. A lot of thought has gone into it You will crawl around on the floor, there are tight spaces and you will be climbing around. If we are back in the area we would definitely stop in for another quest! Thank you! read more

This place is a blast. It's a bit dated and not exactly the most tech-savvy place, but my kids have a blast every time we go. It's a good balance of exploration, puzzle solving, and physical activity. read more

Ah we had so much fun doing this!! I had no clue what to expect, and I don't want to give too much away but it's basically like a scavenger hunt with little twists and turns. I've never done something like this before so it was so fun to try! Probably great for kids, but my boyfriend and I also had a blast. read more

Fun for all ages! And very affordable. Loved this place as a kid, and still love coming as an adult. I discover something new every time I visit! I love the secret rooms and passageways! They have done a lot of updating recently, so I look forward to our next visit to see if they continue to update! read more

Really fun place to take kids. Easier "missions" and more complex, for the more mature wizards and witches. Our boys loved it.

Having been here in the past and having previously had a good time, I thought this would be a fun place to bring my preschooler. It was not. Firstly, the clunky ticket purchasing process involved standing in two separate lines, one of which went out the door. Around 20 min just to get in. It was extremely crowded which is unpleasant when dealing with 2-way traffic in narrow passageways. There are different levels of difficulty and the higher levels are timed, so that results in people (mostly adults and teens) running around and pushing and shoving smaller kids. This place should have a timed entry system to avoid this hot mess. There are a lot of small crevices, tubes, and ways for small children to get lost. Our child did get lost at one point and there were no staff to be found anywhere to make an alert. Lastly, the bathrooms were disgusting and had no hand soap. For the high price of this place, I was hoping for a lot LOT better. read more

Dawson the worker on the front desk was strange he seemed off of drugs horrible service slurring his words not explaining or answering our questions read more

This is a great indoor activity, especially for a rainy evening like the one we had on the day we went. I went with my 38 year old boyfriend and 17 year old half-sister. It's not always easy to find an activity that a teen would like. She loved this and wanted to go back to free the other wizards. We chose the hard level and only freed 1 wizard, but most people don't free all the wizards on the first outing. I wore a dress, which was a bad idea because there are slides and you might need to crawl. You could go down the stairs as well, but I didn't know that at the. Regardless, since there can be climbing or going through tunnels I recommend shorts or pants. For our level, UV flashlight was recommended and it was helpful for our clues. You can purchase it there for $5, which is very reasonable for a UV flashlight. You'll find it online for more. Make sure you use the lavatories beforehand because after you go through the tutorial, the clock starts ticking and you have an hour to complete the mission. Everyone in our group had fun and would do it again. It's a great after dinner activity and there are lots of places to eat nearby in downtown Wisconsin Dells. There's street parking if you can find it, but there's a couple of municipal parking lots nearby within easy walking distance. You have to give them a photo ID to get the tablet. I forgot my photo ID when I left, but they called me and let me know. Remember to pick up yours on the way out! We went on July 3rd and it wasn't as crowded as we expected. There were people there, but not so much that it lessened the experience. In fact, a couple helped us or we followed their lead to figure some clues out that we otherwise would've never gotten. read more

Is this the most fun I've ever had in my life? I think it might be...my husband and I had a blast running around looking for clues and solving puzzles. The amount of imagination and backstory is mind boggling. The depth of world building completely immerses you in this amazing place! It's magical, cheesy, fun, silly, and serious. Different levels of quests cater to all age groups--I don't think a young child would have the patience to solve the harder quest that we did, but they'd enjoy the jungle gym aspects of the environment. In short, AWESOME. read more

Wizard Quest is best described as either 1) a big treasure hunt with some physical challenges (climbing through tubes, swimming upstream in a ball pit a-la "Chuckie Cheese", sliding down chutes, going up and down ladders, etc.) or 2) a live action video game in which you and your team are the "heroes" of the game attempting to save the four wizards. If you like that kind of thing and do the advanced game with the time limit it's a load of fun. If that doesn't appeal to you then definitely steer clear. They have only a few lockers that you can rent near the entrance. Unless you leave extra stuff in your car definitely lock it up before beginning the quest. Because you have to move around so much the quest will be much more of a pain if your hands aren't free and your pockets can't be snapped secured shut. I can only imagine how many random keys, dollars, jewelry, etc. the staff would find if they clean out the ball pit or just generally sweep up. I could only imagine how much more difficult it would be to enjoy yourself there in that enclosed space if you went during peak hours. Too much crowding there could be awful. Guess we got lucky on the day/time we went. read more

Went back last month and they had changed around the wizards, which is fine. But it was sooo totally crowded that it wasn't even fun. Other people gave away all the secrets and were constantly in our way. Not enough room in there! So glad we didn't pay full price. Go in the off season! read more

I went to Wizard Quest with a big group of 20-somethings a couple of times. Honestly, this place is surprisingly fun. You run around trying to find wizards while solving puzzles. My only wish is that they would change it up more often and more dramatically. It's pretty much the same no matter when you go, but if you're a first-timer then definitely go. Adults & kids will have a lot of fun (even if you think you won't, and you're only there for the kids, you'll get into it). read more

It's not a good place for younger children. We had a younger child in a stroller so it was hard to keep up with our 4 year old. I just believe you get a little bit more bang for your buck at Magi Quest. read more

Of all the things to do in the Dells, we did not expect to enjoy this so much! First - we have four kids under 7 - and our 7yo, 6yo and 3yo had a blast! (The 1yo was just along for the ride, lol.) There is an Easy quest that is a perfect introduction to the Wizard Quest world. Without giving away any secrets, it required everyone's participation and attention. But it was fun! They use Kindles to track your progress and the employees are incredibly helpful if you get stuck. They'll give you as much help as you need (or want). Even my super-skeptical husband admitted he had fun and that saying something. And I'd tell you that it was good enough that we'd go back - and that's the truth. We were there this morning and then went again after dinner. (We did the Medium quest the second time and it was so much fun!!) It's the only thing we've done here all week that they've wanted to repeat. Wizard Quest is worth the visit! read more

Weve been here 3 times over 7 years... Still fun but looks a little beat up in spots. Unique experience, I recommend, but knock it down looking well used and neglected read more

We were greeted by Cordell, wearing a Supervisor tag, and let me just say I can see why! He took the time to explain the quests to us and recommend one that wouldn't feel childish but also wasn't too hard for first-timers. It felt like he was a new acquaintance telling us about a game instead of an employee going through the motions. Then, when we chose to enter the "Earth Realm," Sam walked us through the mission with the most enthusiasm I've ever seen anyone display. He did funny voices and made jokes, showed us how to use everything on the tablet/kindle, and paused to ensure we were understanding along the way. The icing on the cake was Richard. When Sam said there was a guy dressed up in the realm ready to help us, I admit that I thought, "Wow, what a dork." But honestly, Sam's energy got me pumped to do it, and Richard was more than helpful when he noticed that we were stumped. Although he never gave us the answers, he was happy to drop a hint or ask questions that got us on the right track. We completed the quest just as our session timed out, so we were all kind of bummed, but Richard didn't want us to miss out. He verified that we really finished by asking about the 4 objects, the elves' hiding places, the phrases on the leaves, etc. Then he took us upstairs and told the staff that we had genuinely completed the realm. That floored me since it was such a cool, generous, and unexpected gesture. Overall, I will absolutely return to do another quest in the near future, and I want to bring five more members of my family who haven't been there yet. I'm amazed that Wizard Quest is so entertaining for vastly different groups of people - we saw 40-year-old men, children, high school girls, couples on dates, etc. The deciding factor is also the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I'd love to know that they were told how they impacted our visit, because they all played a role in our satisfaction and make your brand successful. Last but not least, thank you! read more

Went here with the family to try it out, as recommended by friends. The theme revolves around magical elements: fire, air, water, and earth. Each theme has its own physical play area, scattered with puzzles, hints and tips, and interactive physical obstructions. Being on a team with the family is fun, since we divided the questions up between all of us. While some of the themes do have some weird challenges (fire's ball pit requires that you go "underground" to solve a puzzle) they are optional as well. Other than that, you pretty much are immersed into a huge Wizard World by yourself. The staff that are present in the area are friendly, but they don't exactly provide much help or make the experience any better. Although we didn't finish in time, it was still a fun ride nonetheless. read more

We were hesitant to bring our kids 6, 4, and 2. However I'm glad we did. Our whole family enjoyed this! We did the dragon hunt. Basically you have 4 dragons to find, my kids had a blast, there are secret doors, tunnels, slides and a ball pit. The dragons are not easy to find so was worth the money. The staff was friendly and explained what we needed to do before entering. The staff inside was also very helpful. It took us maybe 30 minutes to complete. Definitely recommend for all ages :) read more

This was SO FUN! My husband and I did this. It was a little challenging with so many kids running around. We didn't end up finishing, primarily because we were too polite, and kept letting families with kids in front of us. However, even not finishing, we had a lot of fun! read more

Fun challenge and definitely worth the time spent. Was able to complete a medium difficulty challenge in the allotted time. The folks that work there are a helpful resource if you get stuck so ask for a hint rather than guess and lose time. Only thing is that if you are a bigger person there is no way you are fitting in some of the places you need to reach for answers. Also the floors are hard on your knees. read more
