What more can I say about this tourist trap that fleeced me out of $20+tax, that hasn't already been said in any of the other 100+ reviews?
We were on a trip visiting relatives and decided to take a day trip to Noah's Ark (GREAT waterpark!) Saw this place on the way and was like WTF and WOW... I mean this upside-down building that says "Top Secret", and a secret service limo parked outside, etc... I thought it was going to be some cool spy museum, akin to the one in Washington DC.
But, as we were headed to the waterpark, we continued on... but (unfortunately) decided to stop here after the waterpark.
Got out of the car, went up to the ticketing person and asked what is it -- she said it is a self-guided tour of the white house upside down. Is it scary/haunted house-esque? Nope. OK... well, why not... so they took our picture and we proceeded to go inside.
Various (quite lame, think B-rated movies on the USA Network's up all night with Rhonda Shear circa 1990?) props sparsely populated throughout, with some furniture affixed upside-down in the ceiling. As we continued to proceed,I was hoping it would turn into something MORE, but the reality was it kept going downhill (figuratively and in some cases literally). The vertigo tunnel was kind of cool, and perhaps I should have stayed on it for a while longer to try and take my mind away from having been fleeced so badly! I've wasted more more than this on stupid crap before, but for some reason this really just struck a chord with me...
After we finish walking thru, they try and sell us the picture they took in the beginning, along with secret agent ID badges... which I would have considered if they were about 25% of the actual price they were asking... again, I already spent $20 to go thru this crap, why would I want to spend another $20 on a picture & badge (or whatever the price was)... maybe if it was $5 for the badge, I would have bought one for each of the kids, but yeah, was no where near that cheap.
Now, if they were to ever turn this place into a haunted house, they *might* have a much more successful hit on their hands...
Really the best part (aside from LEAVING) was getting some good selfie pictures OUTSIDE in the parking lot (which I could have done for FREE)... made for a good Facebook profile pic... that's about it.
Oh the other bummer, my smart phone had no data in the Wisconsin Dells... had it, I would have been able to check Yelp to see WTF this thing was, noticed the horrid reviews and NEVER stepped foot outside the car. read more
