You are allowed to come and go as you need, so an old fashioned picnic at the car to save money is perfectly doable here. They prefer reusable bottles here, and are willing to refill them for you saving on drinks, needed. Now to the attractions. There are inflatables for everyone from 3 to 93 here. There's a little kid play area and each inflatable becomes larger as the watergets deeper. Kids naturally self select based on their swim and tolerance levels. The website explained that it was a tablet directed quest game and would take about an hour. However, that's out of date. The time allotted for a single game was two hours. Be warned when setting the parking meter! Basically there are four "realms" that each offer quests. When you see a tablet, you can choose to interact with it and accept or deny a quest. You can accept the quest via your group's tablet by selecting the appropriate symbol. Then the wild goose chase begins. Clues send you all over the place to talk to characters and collect the virtual items. Up stairs, through secret passages, tunnels and more. Rarely did we encounter teams that were following the same quest at the same time we were so that was great. As crowded as it got in certain areas, we were all kind of doing our own thing. I believe there were around 16 quests that could be completed, all with varying levels of difficulty and length of time to complete. We made it through 4, and part way through another in our two hours. I was amazed by the level of detail that went into the planning and decoy of this game and all the rooms. It was more interactive than I had anticipated and also tiring! But what a fun afternoon. I'd love to go into more detail but I don't want to spoil anything. Not for the faint of heart…read more I have mixed feelings. We went around 11am on a rainy day during spring break. There was a line. It wasn't super long, but it was slow moving because they give each family their tablet and explain how things work. Waiting in a slow line is really hard for kids when they are super excited. I wish the people at the desk just sold tickets and that they had someone in the starting room explain the tablets to a group at a time to speed things up. Some people behind us in line bought tickets in advance online and were annoyed that they had to stand in the same ticket line as everyone else. Buying tickets online does not expedite things at all. There was no line when we left, so maybe late afternoon is a better arrival time. Overall, the design of the questing area is very cool. There is a lot to explore, and there are lots of fun details and secret passageways to explore. My kids are age 7 and 9 and really enjoyed it overall. As a parent, 2 hours was way too long for younger kids. It would have been perfect for teens and adults, but it is way too long for younger kids. We're pretty fit, and we were exhausted by the end because there is a lot of walking and going up and down the stairs. We were also carrying our kids coats and umbrellas as we didn't see the lockers until the end. Tip; Ditch any gear before questing. There are very few places to sit and take a break along the way. This would be a very poor choice attraction for anyone with mobility issues or anyone who can't handle a lot of walking. I wouldn't bring grandparents along on this adventure. We ended up taking a break in the snack area, and they paused our quest, so taking a break wouldn't count towards the 2 hours. I wish we didn't pause the quest because we ended up deciding we were done after 90 minutes of questing time, but 2 hours of being there, and our kids did not want to leave time on the clock. As a parent, this was a lot. My kids were SO excited to find things and explore, but I felt a bit stressed because there are lots of passageways and secret doors, and any time another family exposed some secret entrance, they immediately wanted to run through it. I had to be on high alert to avoid losing them to their impulses to go through any secret passages they stumbled upon. I read everything on their website, some online reviews, and watched videos about Wizard Quest, but I wish I had more info going into this about what to expect. We finished 3 quests. We would have to come back multiple times to complete everything. That would have been nice to know going into it to manage kid expectations. People in larger bodies might have a hard time navigating certain areas because some passages are quite narrow. There are 3 levels. We never made it to the fire area in the basement, and I feel like most of our time was in the earth area. Tip:choose quests that start in different realms to explore different areas. There was a lot of walking back and forth, going back to places we already explored. I wish there was an option to tap for a hint in the app instead of asking the staff. We went inside the tree so many times. When my kids had trouble finding what they needed to complete the task, we had to circle around, come down, and loop around to ask for a hint and then go back up again (and again and again). The staff is helpful, but having to go in circles to get a hint was frustrating for younger kids. They wanted to finish the task and move on to explore new areas. I also wish there was a back feature in the app. When little kids tap through quest details quickly, They miss important information. Both kids had a blast and said it was 4 stars and want to go back. I had fun, but I also feel like I would wait several years before considering a return trip.

We had the key and new will in our hand when time ran out so 30 more seconds and we would've broken out but I'll say without the clues we wouldn't have made it as far. I have not been to a drive in since the mid 90s and was super excited to get to share this experience with my children and this place did not disappoint. They have 2 screens which I had not seen at a drive in before but it works well. The audio plays over fm radio stations and they have radios to rent if you don't bring your own or want to run your car battery down. The food is reasonably priced and they have a great selection that I would say surpasses any of the local chain theaters I go to back home. Burgers, hot dogs, nachos, sloppy joes, popcorn, cheese curds, soda, candy, corn dogs, onion rings, French fries, grilled cheese, pizza, and tacos off the top of my head. Just a huge selection of options. The movies say they start at dusk but add about 15 minutes to that based on our experience. It makes sense, dusk is easy to search for to find the time but it isn't really dark enough yet. So just be aware it's a little later and if you stay for the full double feature it is going to be a late night. But totally worth it.

This place has three escape rooms to solve. Their entry-level room is a mission to Mars, their…read moremiddle-level room is a quest to get to shelter because a tornado is coming, and their hard-level room is a quest to save yourself from the sinking Titanic. If you haven't done escape rooms before, you should definitely do the Mars one. It's fun for beginners. It's also cheaper and takes a shorter time duration. There aren't as many puzzles to solve as the middle level or most difficult one. But, it's still quite fun to do. The most fun is in the tornado room. They had an option to do it with the lights on or off, and we chose to leave the lights on. There is enough going on already, and we didn't need to be distracted by having it be too dark. The puzzles are a little tougher, and this one takes a full hour to finish. The theme is great, and the variety of things to solve is perfect. It's not just a routine of solving one number code after another. The toughest one is the Titanic room. And, I can't help but lower my rating of this place from 5 stars to only 4 stars as a result. I don't mind that it's tougher. That's fine, and that's not the reason I am deducting a star. There's a difference between making something tougher, vs. making something that absolutely nobody would understand. This room is around half of the size of the tornado room, yet, it has double the amount of things to solve. And, frankly, some of the puzzles are just a bit too cryptic for my liking. They just went a little too far with confusing things to figure out, that didn't really lead anywhere. It's a shame, because 70% of this room has some really great features that most people will really have fun with. But, about 30% of the stuff you need to solve is just impossible without taking clues from the staff, and even after getting the clues, it still doesn't make much sense. And, they really need to make this one 1.5 hours long to accommodate all of the things you need to finish. Overall, though, I'd recommend any of these rooms, even the difficult Titanic room. I just think that room needs a little more time allotted, and a bit of tweaking to a few of the puzzles to make them more reasonable.

We went to Dell's Raceway Park for the first time last night while celebrating my dad's 75th…read morebirthday, and honestly, I'm sad it took us this many years to finally go! My parents have lived in the area for years, and we've always heard the cars from a distance but never made it out to the racetrack. I'm so glad we finally did. It was such a fun night for our whole family, including two toddlers. According to their website, kids five and under are free, which made it even better. They also offer discounted senior tickets, which was only a couple dollars off, but every bit counts and it was appreciated. The cars are loud, so I definitely recommend bringing noise-canceling headphones for little ones or anyone sensitive to sound. We brought headphones for the kids and my parents, and earplugs for ourselves. They also had inexpensive earplugs available in the store, which was great. The atmosphere is casual, fun, and family-friendly. It's not a fancy raceway, so I wouldn't go in expecting anything overly polished or upscale, but that's part of what made it so enjoyable. It felt like a relaxed, relatively inexpensive, easygoing night out. There is bleacher seating and lawn seating, and there really isn't a bad seat in the raceway. I noticed the regulars brought portable/camping chairs, so I would definitely recommend bringing those, along with blankets and maybe an umbrella depending on the weather. It rained the night we went, and they did pause for a rain delay. There isn't much covered space to hang out during rain, but you can head back to your car until it slows down. Food and drinks were reasonably priced, including beer, which was a pleasant surprise. My dad has some trouble walking, but we were able to find a good spot where he could be comfortable and still see everything. Overall, this was such a fun experience for all ages. The kids had a blast, my dad enjoyed his birthday outing, and we cannot wait to go again. Since it is seasonal, I would definitely make it a to-do item while you can.

I'm part of Fiat Club America, and we just had our annual Fiat Freakout (the convention that moves…read moreto a different spot each year) in the Wisconsin Dells. One of the highlights was hitting the racetrack at Dells Raceway Park. Let me tell you, everyone had an amazing time zooming around the track. There were new Fiats, classic ones, and everything in between, and everyone loved being on the track. A lot of folks enjoyed getting multiple turns driving with different passengers who wanted to experience the ride but didn't necessarily want to take the wheel.
