Got a godfather. Didn't realize that the pizzas are all one size, but pizza by the slice is available at this location. Pizzas are very large, but with very thin crust. Each pizza could feed two to three people and online ordering allows for toppings on just half a pizza. Expected more toppings for the price, but considering the thickness of the pizza, heavy toppings may be overwhelming. Pizza crust has a great crunch, but *no* flavor. read more

I was in the mood for New York style pizza and after reading the reviews here, I popped in. Pizza by the slice is difficult since they might not have exactly what you want available or you're playing pizza lottery and trying to guess which pizza is the freshest. I could have asked but I didn't, but i figured out which of my two pizzas (pepperoni and supreme) were fresh(er). The more fresh pepperoni was what I except the hot out of an oven. The toppings her perfect and the dough was soft, yet held up when I picked it up with a little support. Delicious. The supreme had obviously been sitting out a while bc it tasted just like reheated pizza you can do yourself in your oven. The crust was crunch and the pizza didn't lose its shape when picked up by just the outside crust part. No telling how long it's been sitting (can't fault the restaurant for this though). All in all a good pizza joint. Next time I go back I'll ask which one came out of the oven last. Or I'll just order a whole godfather pie and take it home with me. read more

Delicious New York-style pizza. We tried a slice of margherita, a slice of Mediterranean and a slice of honey barbecue. For me, the winner was the margherita. Crust was thin and crispy, and the sauce tasted fresh. I would have preferred chopped basil since whole leaves make it a little hard to eat, but no big deal. Loved the honey barbecue too. The toppings on the Mediterranean were delicious - onion, spinach, olives, garlic and feta - but It a little soggy, though. They also have a Boylan's soda fountain. read more

Best pizza in the area! The Korean Chicken pizza is a personal favorite that is super flavorful and hits the spot. I normally do not like cabbage, but it compliments the pizza so well. The location is a bit inconvenient but worth the visit. We had the garlic knots, and slices of plain cheese, margarita, and mushroom truffle. The margarita was a bit disappointing, but the mushroom truffle was really nice. There are a few other options that I have to try again and when I do, I'll do a list of my personal recommendations from best to worst. This place is ok. Not as good as real NYC pizza though. I had a slice of plain cheese pizza and while it was in the ballpark of NYC pie it was more like in the stands than out on the field. It's still a decent addition to this awful soulless neighborhood called Rosslyn. I wish I could do a Yelp review on Rosslyn. I grabbed a couple slices from here one night on the way back to the hotel. Average pizza at cheap prices per slice. It is New York style, thin slices. A little on the greasy side but it was quick service. This would be good late-night pizza bur for dinner there is probably better. read more

I would like to update my review, after I wrote this review the owner contacted me directly to apologize. He was very honest and offered to replace my meal that I had that night. Offering pizza was really nice (pizza is the way to my heart lol) but what I appreciate the most was his honesty and making me feel like my opinion matters, I also appreciate him reaching out to me so fast. I love Wiseguys pizza and will give this location another try. I am a regular customer at the Wiseguys in DC but this one really sucks! When i came into the store today there was only one customer in the store and they were moving soooo slow! I ordered two slices of pizza and 3 garlic knots and someone walked in to pick up a phone order and the guy gave her my garlic knots and told me i had to wait until new ones were made after i picked them and he warmed them up with the rest of my order. The person that was picking up her order had her pizzas ready (2 boxes) but I guess they missed the part that she had garlic knots and cookies so they had to sit and wait for the cookies. When I asked about the garlic knots he lied and said he got sauce on them after I saw him give them to another customer after warming them up for me with my pizza. Pizza is good but customer service is horrible. They need new employees!!! Take them to the Wiseguys pizza in DC and get them trained! Horribly service and a waste of my time read more

I absolutely love this place. The only downside is if I go much later than the lunch rush, the pizza crust is no longer crispy. Before the rush and during is perfect, though. I prefer to go before the rush since the store is pretty small inside and it can get kind of hectic. You can't go wrong with the supreme or the chicken tikka Pizza and definitely the mushroom truffle is one of the best I've ever had anywhere. read more

Let me just get this off my chest first, I actually do not like pizza. Not a big fan of pizza, unless it's the pan pizza from Pizza Hut or a slice from Artichoke Basille's. It could just be the fact that I am not too fond of tomato / marinara sauces, and maybe that's why I have no love for the pizza. My palette is a unique one. Anyway, Wiseguy Pizza though is like a pot of pizza gold. They are NY style pizza, which goes against my tiny love for Pizza Hut's pan pizza. Their flavors are unique though. Not sure, I would have ever gave this guys a chance, had my work not be like one of their top 10 consumers probably. People in our office are there everyday, and we also like to order catering from them too, to which I am thankful for that I was introduced to what is now my holy grail pizza. When the once in a blue moon pizza craving hits, I am quick to order a slice of mushroom truffle pizza and sicilian white (because tomato sauce is meh). These are my two go-tos. The Korean chicken pizza is my third, the flavors are big and pack a nice punch of sweet heat. The wiseguy is alright in my book too, if for some reason I had to pick a tomato sauced slice. I'm not too big a fan of the buffalo chicken pizza, not really feelin the chicken pieces on it or the sauces, but to each his own, because it's a big hit at my job. Also, slices are huge, just like NY pizzas. 2 slices will suffice, but if you're getting the sicilian slices you'll def be stuffed if you can even eat 2! read more

I loved Wiseguy Pizza! Thin, crispy crust. Delicious tomato sauce that tastes like you're biting into a flavorful garlicky tomato. And plenty of toppings per slice. Best za I've had in a while. I ordered two slices to go: traditional pepperoni and Margherita for about $4 a piece. I was surprised when I first looked at the bill but this pizza was worth every penny. Wiseguy's is probably the best pizza in Rosslyn (though, unfortunately, that says very little). This location is smaller than the DC location, but there is a small seating area. The service has been good, and there have always been several different types of slices when I've been to this location. The slices are huge - I could never eat 2 in one sitting. I love the pepperoni pizza here: the pepperonis are delicious. The cheese pizza is also great, and my boyfriend loves the sicilian slices as well as the white and margherita. The garlic knots are greasy, but crisp and tasty. It's not amazing NY style pizza, but it's definitely some of the best in the area. I wish they delivered! read more

I frequent Wiseguy NY Pizza in Arlington, VA maybe two times per week, and am familiar with its location in DC as well. My go-to slices are the regular cheese and buffalo (and a red velvet cookie). The slices are large, they come out hot, they're perfectly foldable, wonderfully greasy, and there are a good amount of toppings to choose from. The sole con: prices seem a little high (though it is in Arlington after all). Overall, they deliver consistently good quality pizza and it's the closest thing to a real NY slice I've found in the area. Far more satisfying than other pizza shops around. read more

I don't hand out 5 stars willy-nilly, but this establishment deserves each one. The New York style had outrageous crust chew with a little crisp on the bottom. The ingredients were all you could ask for balance between salt, fat, starch and umami without it being too much. We also got a square, I guess Sicilian style?, Pizza with feta instead of riccota (hate the texture) and their ages pepperoni. Day of was good but didn't stand out. Next day reheated was the real deal. Letting the flavors chill together helped it out. The chocolate chip cookies were soft, but I wouldn't get them again. And last we got the cheese cake. I think that it has some of the best original flavor cheesecake I've had in awhile, take away a the chocolate and stuff they out around it and just give me the cheesecake! It's barely sweet, creamy, and a few moments after you swallow it there's an amazing tangy taste. Worth every dollar! read more

Really tasty pizza, if a bit pricey. When you order online you can choose between a light bake and well done. I chose the latter because I didn't want mushy crust, but next time I'll go with light bake because a lot of the crust was a bit burnt. Both the spicy sauce and regular red sauce were really tasty, all other toppings were fine versions for American style pizza. The cheesecake was also excellent, but at $8 for a tiny sliver it's quite a splurge (and not just in terms of calories). Everything is super customizable when you order on their website, but our order did take about 15 minutes longer than the 25 minutes we were told it would take. The location is difficult for pickup - lack of parking and a busy road basically means you will probably just have to stop illegally in order to run in, so it's important that the food is ready to go on time! read more

It's been a while since I've been in DC and I was seriously craving Wiseguy Pizza. Spend a couple days in a hotel in Arlington and discover this second location has opened and is a short walk away. I was pleasantly surprised that this location has been able to replicate the same magic in the bottle that is Wiseguy's savory garlic knot. Everything my family and I ordered was delicious and while smaller this new location is much cleaner and more stylized than the original. Their Sicilian Pizza is soooo good but it is only made for lunchtime, which is an upgrade from just a few months ago it was made only when they had time to begin from scratch that the Sicilian demands. Whether you get the pepperoni (Grandpa) or the mozzarella with fresh, whole basil leaves (Grandma) you will be knocked off your socks. Nothing I've had in 12 years in Manhattan comes close, with the crisp thick dough, olive oil loaded sauce, and thin slices of mozzarella. Their regular pizza is ordinary, but they have a great selection of personal salads, and cheesecakes. The garlic knocks are a good substitute if they are out of the Sicilian. The pies and everything are made by a terrific staff who seem to care about excellent food. Some are culinary school grads, which is no surprise when you add the details of this place together. read more
