She is the most talented optometrist I have ever consulted with. She can give you advice on your general well being, just by examining your eyes. No one has ever done that with me, until her! She has given me better advice than any ophthalmologist I have consulted in the past! All of my family members and I have been patients of Dr. Nina Christensen for many years. We live closer to the Grafton Costco but when she moved to Pewaukee, we moved our files with her practice. She is as caring as she is talented and certainly, is worth the extra long drive to Pewaukee. Here is one example: I had dry eye problem - especially in winter months. I went to see two Ophthalmologists. One of them was considered to be a leading Ophthalmologist in town. Both of them told me to use artificial tears, daily. They both told me, I got it because I look at the computer too much, with insufficient blinking.. and I am thinking - "Duh! Blinking is subconscious! What am I to do.. remind my eyes to blink more often?". They were explaining the problem and not the solution! When I went to see Dr. Christensen for an eye exam, I mentioned my dry eyes problem to her casually, as a part of patient history. Immediately, she said - just drink a lot of water and you won't need the eye drops.. She was absolutely right.. I no longer need eye drops! Dr. Christen is so very talented that she is the only doctor who explained to me that she can notice indications of high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes, while examining the eye! She explained that people with high blood pressure will have pronounced capillary veins. She is the most talented Ophthalmologist that I have ever met! Once you meet her, immediately, you will see that she is genuinely interested in your well being. She charges only $60 for eye glass exam.. In the past I had paid $200 for a ophthalmologist for an eye exam and he was no where as good as Dr. Chritensen! If you are older than 50, I would encourage you to go with a designated driver and plan for 2 hours of time, so that she can dilate your eyes (1 hour for dilation) and give you a thorough exam! It would be well worth the effort.

Dr. Winter at the Sussex Eyecare Center is by far the best! His exams are very thorough. What I appreciate is that he explains to you exactly what he's doing and the results. He takes the time to listen to any eye concerns that you have and works with you to determine the best approach. It is obvious he really cares about his patients! Pretty good selection, even though not as plentiful as at Visionworks at the mall. We had the exams on Saturday and glasses were ready for pickup on Tuesday. They came with a case, cleaning spray and cloth, and even some chocolate for the kiddos. If you're looking for great service, this place is highly recommended.

I booked a quick appointment and I was lucky they were able to see me that afternoon. Drs Tran and Varner own this small business. I saw Dr. Varner and he was able to assess my eye situation and take steps to resolve it. I was out the door before my lunch break was over and had prescription drops at the local pharmacy. I really liked the little details that they put into their eye care center. The staff was super friendly and they even gave out adorable eye stickers! The doctor took his time to answer my questions and I never felt rushed. My eye healed 100% by the follow up and the price was pretty reasonable too. Eye am really glad I found this place! They have state of the art equipment (the digital photographs of our eyes are incredible!) and a large selection of eyeglass frames and contacts. I tell all my friends and family about Brookfield Vision. One of our family members had an eye emergency that could have led to a complete loss of vision. Dr. Varner worked her in, evaluated her and referred her on - he saved her vision. I have complete confidence and trust in their care. Amazing place!

They have the coolest frames along with a great staff. I have seen both doctors and they are both patient and down to earth. I have an unusual prescription but they had no problem taking time with me to get it right. They also have great kids glasses, my kids don't need glasses but if they did I would get them here! I also ride a Harley and have a great pair of sunglasses for the bike from them. I like the ones that wrap around your face. I have had problems with blurriness in my side vision when getting the wrapped ones from other places, but my new ones have awesome clarity. I would recommend everyone to at least visit them!

The staff is service oriented and work with you on fit and style when choosing glasses. Peggy has always helped me with the style to fit my face and I really value her opinion. I have seen Dr. Dagenais and he is very detailed and precise with his exams and takes his time. He spends a lot of time with you and gets to know you which is nice. They use this state of the art eye scanner that I cannot recall what it is called. Unfortunately insurance doesn't cover it but Dr. Dagenais was explaining the tech behind it and only charges $30 for it and it sees much more of the eye than any other equipment can see therefore he can detect issues at an earlier stage. If interested in learning more I'd suggest just asking. Otherwise next time I am there I will ask for details and update my review. If you are in search of an optometrist or shopping for new eye glasses I would definitely recommend that you take a "look" at The Eye Group!
