Let me say, first of all, that Dr. Belanger is fantastic! She nailed my prescription and answered all my vision and clinical questions. The last few times I've had my eyes examined, I've gone to vision centers purchased by My Eye Doctor. In each case, the prescription was off and the glasses terrible - even though I purchased top-of-the-line Varilux lenses and coatings. My complaints always went nowhere. Wisconsin Vision and Dr. Belanger were highly recommended to me. After my vision check at the Greenfield center, I worked with Jeanna, who listened carefully to my concerns and fitted me wonderfully with Zeiss lenses. I had been told many times that nothing beats Varilux lenses, but Au contraire! These Zeiss progressive lenses are crisp, easy to see through and far easier to keep clean. As soon as I put them on, I knew they were perfect. I hadn't had that experience at My Eye Doctor. No wonder binoculars and cameras with Zeiss lenses are expensive. The optics are amazing! Since my frames were recently purchased and in excellent shape, and since Wisconsin Vision carries the same frame brand, Jeanna suggested keeping them and purchasing only the lenses. After picking up my newly lensed glasses, Jeanna quickly adjusted them perfectly. In fact, they now fit me more comfortably than they ever have. I'm not sure what you did, but thank you, Jeanna! I plan to have Dr. Belanger, Jeanna and Wisconsin Vision attend to all my vision needs in the future. Thank you so much! read more

Wisconsin Vision - Nice assortment of frames. Very clean store. - Optometrists Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I was told by an employee I didn't have vision insurance. I went home purchased vision insurance. Then I came back and they said I had vision insurance. They blamed it on VSP. I finally received my prescription sunglasses today. They put the order in early May. They told me the sunglasses didn't pass a test. That's two months of waiting. I cannot recommend this kind of customer service. They are too expensive and can't even find your insurance. Stay Away. read more

I had such a great experience a big thanks to Liz for helping me select my frames, she was the sweetest! I definitely will be going back!

This is my 2nd year working with Wisconsin Vision. I'd like to say they are very professional and easy going. I am very near sighted the insurance doesn't cover what I need for them to feel "attractive ". Yes! I pay out of pocket so I want to make sure I'm getting the right deal.Wisconsin Vision are there to help people. They went thru all the options available for me and they took there time. I payed more for my glasses because they seem sturdier. Mentioned my eyes started to tear up when I went outside so we got the photoFusion sunglasses built in. Then I got Progressive plastic Hi index ( thinner less bulky frames) and a shield to block reflection... something like that. But for the most part I know what I'm getting for the money I spent. WoW! I love my glasses! Thankyou Trevor & all the sweet people I've met there. What a wonderful group of professionals AND I am disabled and it is so NICE to go in somewhere and be noticed! Some people are afraid to talk to you Not these guys they are so welcoming AND they have 2 disabled spots right in front of the door! Sincerely, Pamela T. read more

Wisconsin Vision - My new " HOT " glasses - Optometrists Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Sadly, I've been seriously disappointed by Wisconsin Vision. I'm a repeat customer and have spent thousands of dollars here over the years. My last pair of glasses were purchased here a little over two years ago. They were by far the most expensive glasses I have ever purchased and had all the bells and whistles and features. The coating I bought (non-glare) began to fail within two years, scratched, flaked off, and became cloudy. I was out of state and out of the country taking care of family matters but brought the defective glasses in in early June (2 years and 4 months after purchase). Trevor told me they had a problem with the machine that should have bonded the coating to the lenses, but the process was defective during that period. I asked if they would replace the lenses since the issue was their defective machine. I've had other coated lenses that looked like new even five years after purchase, so I know it wasn't carelessness on my part. He asked his manager if they would stand behind the lenses in view of their machine's failures. She would only grant me a 30% discount on new lenses. I can get that anywhere with AARP or AAA, so it's not a real solution. I would still owe hundreds of dollars to get replacement lenses equivalent to the ones I bought. I won't be going back to this company since I can't count on them to stand behind their product or their processes. Go with a more reputable company that stands behind what they sell. 6/29/23: Today I reached a compromise of sorts with Wisconsin Vision in Greenfield Wisconsin. The manager granted me a 50% discount on remaking my lenses which were defective because of their faulty coating processing machine two years ago. I can now see clearly, but it did cost me another $364 out of pocket to remedy their issue. I had expected better, but now I know better what to expect from their company. The staff, on the other hand, was always well informed, helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. read more

My husband and I have been customers for the past 4 sets of glasses. They are always accommodating with the scheduling of our appointments. Prices are good. Selections are okay. I wish they had a few more of the half frames to choose from. Staff is very courteous and friendly. They are always available to answer all your questions. We definitely would recommend them to friends & family. read more

I had a good exam and two weeks later when I called to see if my trail contacts came in I was able to get them. (they didn't contact me) They were good and I tried three times to order a year's supply of that prescription. First time on the phone when all I was told was, "the doctor has to approve the final prescription", nothing happened. Thee weeks later I called a second time and they said, "the doctor needs to approve the prescription." Um, that is what I was told the last time. After not hearing from them for three more weeks, I went into the Greenfield location and a guy started helping me, got on the computer, then took a call from another store and ignored me. So I walked out and called in later to ask for my prescription so I could order from somewhere else. They sent me the wrong prescription! It didn't match the trial pair of contact lenses. The correction was wrong. And it wasn't for glasses either, it was just the wrong numbers altogether. I didn't realize I had to check the doctor's work and didn't notice until I tried on the contact I got in the mail. I had to call Wisconsin Vision again, and they sent me the wrong prescription again! This time no correction for astigmatism (toric lenses). Shame on me for not checking a second time. But again, I got the wrong lenses and didn't know it until I put them in my eyes. I think 1-800Contacts even called them to confirm and they confirmed the wrong prescription! Calling Wisconsin Vision led to the store manager, T****r, arguing with me, saying, "how would I know they are the wrong prescription, I'm not a doctor", and, "you were told you had to pay for them first". Nope, no one every said that is why the didn't order them. I then called the corporate office and was told by S****h, that she'd look into it. Four months later and I still don't have the right prescription and I've paid for contacts and insurance only pays for one exam a year. I have to pay out of pocket because of them. I know it's hard to get good help these days, but this is ridiculous. read more

Very accommodating and helpful No pressure selling Staff is very nice My whole family has been going there for years, great selection of glasses read more

F for fail this place really burns my ass - I called to see if my glasses would be in anytime soon after paying over 500 bucks just for lenses their reply was oh we're sorry your lenses are on back order we don't know when they will be in - what no one there knows how to pick up a phone cuz I can guarantee they have one - then they tried to sell me on something different - something I told the lady I didn't want to begin with. I'm sorry but a phone call or knowing what product is available is not too much to ask for. What were they gonna let me sit here for months on end waiting on glasses - and not notify me. I ordered them well in advance for vacation - I needed a new pair of prescription sunglasses for the sun - well they screwed e on that one If you don't know customer service get out of business some might take it I'm not going to read more

Would give zero starts if I could. The doctor (Belanger) is fantastic. The staff - not so much. Every single time we go in there, they interpret our insurance benefit differently, and incorrectly. I'm sure over the years we have overpaid by hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Not sure if they work on commission or a bonus system, but have repeatedly added on extra fees, double-talk when asked to explain. Either incompetent, or unethical. Think I'll try Costco next time. read more

I have used Wisconsin Vision since 2012, and have always had a great experience with them. The staff here is very nice and helpful. The optometrist is great, and is very thorough with the eye exam. Wisconsin Vision has a great selection of stylish frames to choose from, both for glasses and sunglasses. Some of the names that they carry are Coach (my personal favorite), Calvin Klein, Lacoste, Nike, Gucci, RayBan and Oakley. They also carry specialty and sports eyewear. My most recent experience here went very smoothly. I was able to get an appointment in a timely manner, and my glasses and sunglasses both arrived in just under a week, which made me VERY happy. They'll tell you that it can take up to 2 weeks for them to come in, but that they can arrive sooner. If you are planning to check out Wisconsin Vision, make sure you take a look at their website for their current promotions and discounts. I was able to get 25% off my 1st pair of glasses, and 50% off of my 2nd pair (and yes, sunglasses do count as one of the pairs. Both glasses just need to be complete pairs). I will definitely continue to use Wisconsin Vision in the future. read more

le sigh. my extra upgraded lenses are 14 months old and look like i've been swimming in chlorine and cleaning them with sandpaper. the $150 additional for the "teflon" coating is MEH at best. i dunno, i don't really do anything exciting. i wear them, clean them with the cloths provided, use the appropriate cleaning stuff.....and mega scratch city. you get two stars because i LOVE my frames. but they're EFFING ray bans. i should love my frames. otherwise... double meh. i also really enjoyed being drilled on how i must get all kinds of crap on my glasses at work because i'm a stylist. (extra heavy sigh) yeah, so i'm a grown up. i don't really like dropping $400 bucks on frames and lenses that cant go beyond a year. i have frames/lenses from 2 years ago, 5 years ago that are in MUCH better shape than these bad boys. way to go on telling me they are out of warranty and they don't look defective. isn't teflon supposed to be like a whole lot more effective than this????? boo wisco vision, BOO. read more

I agree with the negative reviews I have read. The customer service is ridiculous. The eye exams are questionable. I had 4 YES 4 eye exams here and had to get the lenses re-done several times because 2 of their doctors just couldn't decide what prescription I should have. Then when I asked why this keeps happening the optometrist actually said " well some people are just unclear , ya know like there not sure if they can see well or not and it makes it difficult for us to have a good start point for the prescription" SERIOUSLY ?????!! never again I am done with this place, even after they replaced the lenses a 5th time it's still not right, no way will I go back even after I paid over $500.00 thanks for nothing Wisconsin Vision. I am going elsewhere and am willing to pay again to get it done right. read more

I went there for an eye exam also place order for my contacts and glasses. Dr. Bvettner was very professional and very nice, he took his time with me and let me tried on various types of contacts to figure out which I would like the most. Kaitlyn was also very helpful when it comes to the process of picking out what type of glasses I want, payments and insurance, she was very knowledgable. I would definitely recommend and now I can't wait for my new glasses and new contacts! read more

I purchased two pairs of glasses from the Wisconsin Vision Office located on 76th and Layton Ave. The glasses cost over $600.00. I was not able to see clearly out of either pair of glasses. When I complained to Wisconsin Vision I was scheduled for another appointment to see the same Optometrist. The Optometrist insisted that the prescription was correct and when I persisted and stated to her that I thought the lenses were too strong and that I could not see clearly out of the glasses she went so far as to threaten my drivers' license by stating that she felt I was driving illegally with my old glasses. The optometrist did agree to change the lenses material but not the prescription. When the optometrist escorted me back to the reception area she remained standing in the background in the hallway leading to the exam room. The officer manager sat down with me at a table to order the new lenses and she attempted to charge me for the lenses. When I protested the office manager leaned over to me and stated "You know I can also charge you for the re-exam." Needless to say I could not see out of the new lenses either. I am not the only one who has had problems with glasses made by Wisconsin Vision. I have had other family members with issues with glasses from Wisconsin Vision that went unresolved after numerous complaints. Wisconsin Vision uses intimidation tactics when dealing with complaints about their products and I will never to them again for glasses read more

I had purchased a pair of glasses from Wisconsin vision in the brookfield corners in December of 2018. they were a new script with progressive lenses. I had concerns about the smaller frames I had chosen but was assured by the clerk they would work fine for progressives. The purchase was just short of $500.00. When I picked the glasses up and tried them on they didn't seems correct for close up reading and computer work. I was assured by the clerk they were fine and it would take some getting use to. I wore them everyday for roughly a month and had it. I brought them back to the store and was informed there were no refunds for the entire purchase but they could swap out the lens for just my distant script and there would be a refund of the difference on the lenses. Today I went in to pick up the reconfigured glasses and they were fine for distant vision. When I asked about the refund the staff took an immediate defensive stance and rude attitude. after waiting for the manager i was informed the difference between the progressive lenses and the new lens were $150, The store manager offered to split the difference with me, I refused at first that is when she commented " you are lucky we are offering you $75.00, we do not give refunds". When i inquired about why I was not entitled to a full refund for something that was provided to me incorrectly she exclaimed " we made a custom pair of lens and I had to throw them away". I should not have to pay for mistakes Wisconsin Vision makes and poor service promises for something as important as eyesight. When I asked for the regional manager contact information the manager stated " it will not do you any good calling her, she will tell you the same thing, we do not give refunds" This seems to be Wisconsin visions corporate culture that they do not provide refunds for misleading the customer and or not providing them with what they are paying for. My insurance company also paid money toward the original purchase for a product that was not provided, I do not think that is fair to them either. read more
