Problem solved!…read more After 15+ calls to AT&T--fraud, customer service, transfers--and multiple store visits in Huntington Beach, I was exhausted. Everyone passed the issue along. But not Anthony De Jesus in the Santa Ana store. Anthony resolved a months-long phone transfer issue that had stumped multiple departments. He asked the right questions, tried multiple solutions, and solved it in minutes. No deflection. No delay. No passing it along to the next AT&T representative. Just curiosity, skill, and follow-through. He didn't treat me like a ticket to close. He treated me like a person with a problem worth solving. The other staff were friendly and I only waited about 7 minutes to be helped.

I was unaware that you now have to pay a hefty upgrade fee, and you have to follow guidelines, but still to disregard like that hurt my feelings.

Having some bad luck where I ran my phone into a fire hydrant the day before, my screen broke and I wanted to get it fixed. I called ahead of time and was told 3 pricing options based on 3 different screen qualities. I came in, settled on the mid tier screen and was told it would be 15 minutes, which was perfect since I was on a time crunch to get this fixed. Strangely the technician told me completely different pricing for the top tier screen than what I was told on the phone before I called - about $100 more. Strange, but since the mid tier screen was the same price, I didn't say much and just went with that. The technician removed my screen and then went into the back room to grab the screen and then told me "oh whoops, we don't have the screen you ordered." It might be delivered around noon, but I can either put your old broken screen back on or you can do the real expensive or the lowest tier screen. I inquired about the price of the top end screen since I was told a diff price on the phone and somehow magically oops - oh yeah, it is what they told you on the phone. At this point, do they even have different screens or do they just bait you? Are prices arbitrary? The trust was slowly eroding. Since I didn't trust them to put my broken screen back and not further break the phone (try putting a broken piece of glass back on without it cracking more), I begrudgingly told them to put on the "Apple" screen (is it really Apple or OEM?). After they were done, they had a discount posted to take some money off for a 5-star review. Seriously? They also had a sign that if you're not happy with your experience to let them know, so I opted to just be up front. I called the manager and explained the situation. He asked what I thought a good solution would be; I mentioned if they gave me "Apple" screen for the mid tier screen price, I thought it'd be fair considering that's the screen we originally agreed to, before the technician removed my screen without checking inventory. The manager baulked at my suggestion and said they'd be losing money that way. He ended up giving me a discount and said I didn't have to write a 5-star review... All in all, I thought it was a pretty poor customer service experience and since they seem to incentivize good reviews with discounts, I'd be weary of trusting the reviews for this place. The repair itself seems to be holding up fine--so all in all, I wouldn't necessarily steer clear, but just be weary and get your pricing in writing and make sure they don't remove your screen before checking inventory.

I explained that we needed to get the new phone activated and so we could return the other one. He began looking into the account and said this can't we returned (referring to the new case cover I had also brought in) in which I replied I am not here to return any accessories I'm here to activate this new phone so I can mail in the old one back. He then proceeds to say oh there's an activation fee to do that if you're not in the account. Never even cared to ask for my mom's ID to even check himself. I could tell from his vibe he did not want to help us so we left another location on harbor st. At that other location they were very welcoming and the associate there was very helpful in confirming that mom was associated with the account and no need to pay for an activation fee. All in all Chris was very Rude!! Do not got to this location on South Bristol st.

Verizon was recommended by a handful of friends that said they were very pleased with their service. A new location was erected nearby my work so I decided to head over and see what options they had. The store is located on the first floor of a two story building in a small shopping center on the corner of MacArthur & Bristol. When I stepped inside, it looked clean modern and well appointed with accessory displays throughout. The associate was working with someone so I waited for about 10min or so. When she came over she apologized for the wait and I began to discuss cell phone plans. She offered some great plans which included internet as well! So not only was I breaking up with AT&T, I was breaking up with Spectrum, too! They offered a sweet discount on the iPhone 17 Pro Max, so I went with that. About 20min later, I had a shiny new iPhone and sparkling new cell service & internet to boot. I'm still working out some of the kinks of having new service on a new phone but all of that is par for the course. Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience and I'm hoping it will the start of a long & happy relationship.

I learned about how to make those pictures on the IPad notes like they show you on the official website. She told me that the IPad Pencil Pro is the best on this. I learned about how to do the stuff. I also love how Kayla gave me some Apple product trivia. An example would be that I mistakenly thought someone's phone number in the notes was about to be misused by a creepy stranger, but Kayla told me that it's a sample number created by Apple. She was also transparent on me on when the IPad Air M4 and the 17e release dates. She told me that they'll be arriving to the Apple store in-person next week on Wednesday.

A Shoutout to Bailey at the Genius Bar…read more I have to give a huge shoutout to Bailey at the Genius Bar for turning what could have been a routine visit into a standout experience. I brought along my friend Cynthia--who, bless her heart, can be a bit much with her endless questions and objections. But Bailey didn't just handle it; he embraced it. He answered every one of her questions with a smile, defused every objection with patience, and managed to keep the whole interaction not just smooth but genuinely enjoyable. What really stood out was how Bailey made us feel like we were having a great conversation with a friend, all while providing top-notch service. He took something that could have felt like a chore and turned it into a memorable, above-and-beyond experience. Honestly, Bailey set a new bar for customer service. If you're heading to the Apple Store, do yourself a favor and hope you get someone like him.

From a single phone replacement to a two-day nightmare…read more My phone was broken and the screen no longer worked, so I had no choice but to replace it that same day. My line was with T-Mobile, and we originally went to Verizon just to buy one phone. The salesperson convinced us to switch carriers by offering what sounded like a great deal. He told us that if we moved our lines from T-Mobile and opened 5 lines under a business account, we would get a much better promotion. The offer sounded reasonable, so we trusted the information we were given. We ended up purchasing 5 lines and 3 phones. At first everything seemed fine. The store started transferring my data from my old phone to the new one, but because the store was closing, the transfer process was left unfinished and we had to leave. As soon as we got into the car, the new phone showed an error saying the data transfer had not completed. When we got home, we tried to fix it ourselves but nothing worked. The new phone could not receive calls or messages, and my old phone had a broken screen and no working touch. That night I missed several important work calls because of this issue. The next morning my husband and I went back to the store expecting a quick fix. Instead, we spent from 10:30 AM until 7 PM there while multiple employees and phone technicians tried to figure out what went wrong. No one was able to solve the issue. After an entire day wasted, we finally gave up and left. What made the experience even worse was the store manager repeatedly trying to blame us for the problem, instead of acknowledging that the issue started with the setup and activation process in the store. We came in to replace one phone and were persuaded to switch carriers and open multiple lines. In return, we lost two days of time, missed work calls, and still left with unresolved problems. This was an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience.
