Verizon was recommended by a handful of friends that said they were very pleased with their service. A new location was erected nearby my work so I decided to head over and see what options they had. The store is located on the first floor of a two story building in a small shopping center on the corner of MacArthur & Bristol. When I stepped inside, it looked clean modern and well appointed with accessory displays throughout. The associate was working with someone so I waited for about 10min or so. When she came over she apologized for the wait and I began to discuss cell phone plans. She offered some great plans which included internet as well! So not only was I breaking up with AT&T, I was breaking up with Spectrum, too! They offered a sweet discount on the iPhone 17 Pro Max, so I went with that. About 20min later, I had a shiny new iPhone and sparkling new cell service & internet to boot. I'm still working out some of the kinks of having new service on a new phone but all of that is par for the course. Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience and I'm hoping it will the start of a long & happy relationship.

When I returned (a 30-mile drive), they refused to check it despite arriving 40 minutes before closing. The "6-month warranty" was useless. They claimed the screen was cracked even though I only removed the protector to help them see the freezing issue. As an Uber driver, I couldn't be without a phone, so I had to settle for a broken, taped-up LCD for another $10. That also failed within two weeks. I eventually had to go to another branch listed on their card, where a low-quality, non-original LCD was installed. The phone still freezes constantly. I have wasted time, money, and gas. I expect a full refund for the faulty parts and the terrible experience I've had to endure. Avoid this place if you value your time and money.

After dealing with Verizon and trying to figure out upgrade options, I ended up moving all of my lines over to T-Mobile. I walked away with a LOWER monthly bill, 3 brand-new phones, and Costco gift cards on top of it. After being a loyal Verizon customer for 15 years, you would think they would have made more of an effort to keep my business or offer something competitive. Instead, switching carriers ended up giving me significantly more value for less money. The whole experience really showed me that loyalty doesn't always mean much to these companies. If you've been with Verizon for years and are thinking about upgrading, I'd strongly recommend shopping around before agreeing to anything. I'm glad I did. Over 36 months I will be saving $4,000. This was the most bizarre retail experience I've ever had…read more I went in considering two different phones, which in this case are $2000+ devices. There were no customers, and the lady who helped me was very nice and helpful, answered all my questions, and I said I'd let her know in a few minutes because I wanted to go hands-on with the phones for a bit and see which one I preferred. Before I could get back to her, however, she got to helping two elderly ladies who were entertaining in their way but very talkative, and it was clear they were in no hurry to get done. After waiting for a long while, I went up to the front, where three associates were sitting, I said I was interested in one of the phones, and the response was 'ok, let's get you checked in.' But there weren't any other customers. I gave them my info, and they asked if I was ok waiting for the lady who originally helped me, who was now dealing with the women who were there as a social event, which is the reason I asked for some else to help me in the first place. I said 'Uh, ok' and went back to the table and waited. Eventually the first lady who helped me took me aside and said she knew her current customers were going to take a long time, and it was ok if someone else helped me. I asked why they just didn't help me when I went up there, and was told it was because she had spoken to me first and they didn't want to 'step on her toes.' That made sense, and I appreciated the nobility of it, so I went back to the front (\m/) and told them she said it was ok if someone else helped me. AGAIN they checked me in even though there were no customers (I didn't have to check in when I first got there and was helped), so again I waited, and after maybe ten minutes I received a text telling me I was up, and an associate was waiting for me at the front of the store. I went to the front of the store and there was no one there. I waited around for a few minutes, and no one came up, no one spoke to me, no one helped me, so I left. After having been there for over an hour I wasn't even all that upset, it was just so strange. I had to process what had just happened as I drove to Best Buy.
