They are open until 7pm on Wednesday and Thursday. For those of us that work until 5 or 5, it's really difficult to make it to a needlepoint store typically. They don't have a ton of large-format canvases, but there are some. Personally, I just wrapped up a belt project that took me...wait for it...20 years. Yes, two decades. I like to think of it as slow stitching, not procrastination. After finally finishing, over the past 6 or so months, I searched and searched for my next project and am a little bummed I didn't find this shop sooner. Turns out they weren't on Yelp. I actually stumbled upon them on TikTok, and in true enabler fashion, I set them up on Yelp myself. I had already bought my next canvases online, so when I came in I only needed all the fun extras to get started. Alice, who helped me, was fantastic. She set me up with the perfect thread colors, a needle minder, needles, stretcher bars and pins, and even a stitch book. Basically, she made sure I had everything except the snacks to sustain me through my next marathon project. And get this, they have in store classes too (check the website)! I'm absolutely psyched to go, because I could use a few tips to shorten my average project timeline from 20 years to less than 10. This place is such a great find. This coming from a woman who is not impressed by anything, at all, ever. I'm ordering books, supplies, watching videos, listening to podcasts and gearing up to really take this on soon. I couldn't wait for a class to become available, I needed immediate satisfaction today and I knew that would come in the form of getting my hands on the goods. No time to wait on a delivery. I had two local shops in mind and did another google search and decided my first stop would be Saville. Who am I to rate a needlepoint shop?! I know nothing! But here we are, giving my unsolicited opinion is one of many strengths in life. I loved the warm, friendly, welcoming environment. They had a LOT of bolts, strewn everywhere...but a lot of them were just horrible fabrics. I came in looking for various prints and a few basic staples. The staples were there and reasonably priced...but the prints were all pretty awful. I found a much better spandex/lycra selection at Golden D'or down the street. There wasn't any wait and the guy who cut my fabrics was friendly. The bolts were huge and I guess you're supposed to carry them yourself to the table...which would be a challenging task for a lot of people. The place was kind of a total mess and finding what you need is going to take time. I suppose it really comes down to WHAT you need. This place may be perfect depending on what you're looking for. I felt like if I were making a prom dress, there were tons of options. If you're making kids stretch clothes or swimsuits, you might not find what you need.

She doesn't have malabrigo, because she understands the value of her shop space; she's using it to curate the finest selection of fibers and yarn bases I have ever seen and cutting out the yarns you can find everywhere. She's also has the largest selection of BIPOC owned and dyed yarns I have ever seen, if you're looking to support that! Meredith was super nice and greeted me when I entered but didn't hover over me and let me look around. If you actually look at all of the yarns she's got, be prepared to spend at least an hour in the shop. I took tons of pictures so that you can see what I saw-- a very finely curated selection of superwash and non-superwash yarns, hand dyed and local yarns, as well as some of the finest that Europe has to offer.
