Poor communication, no follow up, and finally after effort on my part he finally came by. He asked I send him pics of the pavers and gravel I may want, which I did, but never heard from him. My email stated going forward we will only communicate via email as text messages are not good documentation for a $3K project (it is what he gave me without seeing the project). A week has past and no response. I had another very bad experience last year with another concrete person and Ramos seemed to follow the same path, so I am backing off. The $3K did not include materials. It is not a big job, and I have done this myself in past homes. As you can see in his response below that he never intended to follow-up yet lead me to believe he would send an estimate and to send him pictures. Why say that with no intention to follow-up. amazing how a negative review gets immediate attention.

I contacted James to do a small masonry project in front of my house. I sent him photos of what I…read moreneeded repairs and he knew exactly what I needed. He came two days later and did the work. The quality of his work was really good, despite me being a little hesitant at first. James came on time and didn't leave until the job was done. I'm glad I gave James a shot at my repairs. He is honest , hardworking, and will give you an estimate on the work you need without charging an arm and leg like a few others that I contacted here on Yelp. The only bad thing that I wished James did, was better clean the area before departing. However, they were small areas on my grass. Before & after photos included! I Highly recommend, J&S Masonry.

It looks much better than I even hoped it would look. Kyle and Felicia were very responsive to our request for a quote and Kyle came out right away and provided a drawing and showed us samples of the deck material. The price was very reasonable, so we agreed upon a date to begin the work. The crew arrived on time, and worked diligently over a couple of days. Mike, the supervisor, kept a good eye on everything and was very helpful throughout the process. He thoroughly inspected the work once it was all finished. I was very impressed with how solid and strong the material was. The posts were made of cedar, and the construction was a quality job. The staining added the perfect finishing touch to our patio. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Integrated Outdoor Designs, and have recommended them to my neighbors.

I followed up with a complaint with the Better Business Bureau today. Stay away from this company. They don't honor their work. They don't even call you back after you give them over 10,000 dollars and request warranty work.. Stay far far away. Here you can see a picture of my supposed Warranty. There are other companies out there who will actually call you back and honor the work. We work very hard for our money. Stay away. The least they can do is call you back. I have proof of two emails and three phone calls now since early September. I recorded all my phone calls. I can show you the emails. Once they get your money, they will not even come out and inspect or consider Warranty work. They will literally ignore you. Buyer be aware!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay far far away. After seeing my previous Yelp review, folks from Groundworks responded very quickly. They…read morescheduled repair work within days. Their crew showed up on time, fixed the problems that they had noted in their inspection of the foundation, and added pressure (I am not sure I am expressing or describing the work that they did correctly) to some of the piers that they installed. The crew that came was courteous and fast. The workers were cool. The left the concrete almost as they found it. I think, and I hope, that the problem with the foundation has been taken care of. I think time will tell, because the problem has been movement of the house, and they did the work last Friday, so it is too early to tell whether the house will move again in the near future. We'll see. They called to check whether I was satisfied with the work. And they asked me to update my review. I think it is fair to do so, because they came and did the work. But again, I really hope that the work will keep the house stable from here on. And they did all this without it costing me a cent, so they are honoring the warranty. I will be very happy is the house stays stable from here on.

The repair didn't work out and cracked the driveway more. The company came back out to check the repair because it continued to crack. We came to an agreement that Groundworks would repair the full driveway for a reduced cost and I am thrilled. They are coming out Friday, and we will see what happens, but I feel that Groundworks genuinely wanted to make me happy and accepted that their repair was not up to their standards. They were willing to accept the accountability for their part and negotiated in good faith. It took some time but I am happy with the resolution. Melinda

Gabriel and his crew completed a job for me over a year ago...but they never actually completed it…read more In fact, I wrote another review about halfway through the project on his old landscaping site, Compass Landscaping and have filed a civil case, despite NUMEROUS requests to resolve the small, but expensive, remaining issues. Gabriel's crew is wonderful and hard working. They did a great job on the hardscaping, though there are still issues with drainage on a patio. Gabriel left my parents and myself hanging. There was an entire corner of the lawn that they never returned to sod, several of the large expensive plants we bought got sick during warrantee and Gabriel did not extend the courtesy of getting back in touch with us to replace them, and the same thing happened with a large red oak, which is now dying. The watering system was not maintainer or properly set up, corners were cut and the lack of communication surrounding something that is EASILY remedied is the most frustrating part. I have written and called no less than ten times, but it appears he is too busy to finalize a $120,000+ project that he said he would over a year ago.
