This is the place to train whether you're a pilates instructor or want to take classes or privates…read more If you're training with Balanced Body, then this is the place to do your training! Patricia & her team have created the vibe of the studio to be engaging, inviting, & invigorating! My story of how I found Suncoast: I live in Austin, TX. You'd think there would be quality studios to train in for BB near me. All I found was flaky, unresponsive studios. I knew I wanted quality education. I found Patricia online & called to see if she could help me on my quest. She was fast to support and the next thing I knew I flew out to Florida to train reformer with Allie and Patricia. The master teachers deeply care about the trainees and Patricia gives her heart and soul to the studio! Patricia uplifted my spirits in my Pilates endeavors. It's wonderful to have another experienced business owner see your quality and speak life & truth into you. I left with much more than knowing Pilates repertoire and how I can support my future clients. I left with confidence and belief in myself that I can create the desired business of my heart and soul. Thank you Suncoast Pilates team and much love to you, Patricia!

I pondered Pilates or yoga for many, many years and wish I had gone sooner. Everyone in the studio is very welcoming, the instructors are newbie friendly and very helpful. I can't say enough about Suncoast. As a former Orangetheory and Boot Camp girl, Pilates is the first exercise I've truly enjoy. Go! You will not regret it. As of this review, they are offering the first class free.

I kept resisting and telling her I wasn't comfortable with it but she just about rolled her eyes and said everyone can do it and kept trying to convince me to do a headstand. I have issues with vertigo and don't have good balance even just standing on my feet, so being on my head for the first time in a new surrounding when I came just to stretch for a gentle yoga class was not at all what I had signed up for. Pretty disappointed all around and was shocked based on all the good reviews they got. Maybe I was just there on an off day, but I definitely did not feel any sort of connection or eagerness to return.

The retreat was filled with great classes and outings. Wendy really pushes her students and retreat attendees in remarkable ways that build strength, flexibility, and over health and well being, but still is very chill, relaxed and fun setting. Its inspiring to see someone so dedicated to the yoga lifestyle. I hope to stay in touch with Wendy and Julius in the future to attend a yoga retreat. I don't often write reviews but totally recommend. Julius and Wendy make a excellent team to say the least and are very sweet people. To bad they live in Florida I think I would become a real regular at her studio.

Her name is Miranda and after chit chatting with her for several minutes, I learned that she taught at a local yoga studio up the road. She informed me that the studio offered Mysore Ashtanga as well as other forms of yoga. I figured that was an invitation to go check it out. The building is located in a strip of shops and I went on a Sunday morning so there was ample parking. I walked in a few minutes prior to class and was greeted by Miranda who checked me in. As I was waiting for class to begin, she showed me where the bathrooms and "community mats" were located as well as areas to store your things. (There were no lockers, but the studio is locked while class is in session. Also, they don't charge a rental fee for the community mats.) There's a small coffee table with magazines and couches for you to wait and if you don't want to wait in the studio. The bathroom is clean and has one shower. The studio itself is spacious and is equipped with bolsters and blocks. There is a large mirror to the left side as you walk in so you can check out your form (or those yogis and yoginis with nice derrieres without being too obvious!) I attended an "Ashtanga fusion" class with Miranda which was a combination Vinyasa class with several traditional Ashtanga moves mixed in throughout the session. The class was a good work out, yet all levels of practitioners could adjust and modify poses as needed. It cost me $10 for drop in rate. If you want to do a traditional Ashtanga or Mysore class (which they offer almost every morning, but not Sundays), the drop in rate is $15. They take cash or credit cards. There are also items from Nepal for sale such as mala bracelets and necklaces. They have their schedule as well as a description of the classes and instructor bios online. You can schedule classes through the Mind and Body app or just show up and register there. Thank you Miranda for introducing yourself and for leading a much needed session! It's too bad I met your towards the end of my vacation. Definitely check out The Yoga Room if you're into Ashtanga and even if you're not, check it out anyway if you like yoga or if "you're not into yoga" as the song goes, then hit Clearwater Beach. It's not too far down the road.
