LA Fitness on Missouri Av N In Largo FL is a huge clean facility with lots of parking, nice staff,…read moreclean locker rooms, and lots to do. We're just ordinary people, and we felt welcome, if sometimes out-classed :-) Countless machines of all sorts on two floors. Benches. Weights. "Functional training" tires. Racketball courts. A basketball court. Classes. Trainers. We came (Jan 2026) for the three lane pool, capacity officially 40. I'd say more like 18, if everyone is being cooperative while sharing lanes. We came midday on a weekday, and four of us had a lane to ourselves, while four or six other people shared the other two lanes. It worked out nicely. The steam sauna was just great after a swim! We tried several times over a week for the hot tub, but they kept saying the heater would be repaired "later that day". We gave up and went to another facility. That's the only thing we didnt like, but it's really part of what we came for.

I have been a member of Club Pilates for 6 years. I joined in Illinois and then when I started…read moresplitting my time between Florida and Illinois I had the Global membership so I could go to any studio. Last week I had one of the worst customer service experiences with the owner of the Ft. Harrison location. He was onsite with another employee and they were offering to look at memberships and offer 20% off for life. When they looked at mine they said I have unlimited but not global so he doesn't get PAID anytime I go to his studio. I told them I wasn't aware of this and have been able to book classes at all locations. Apparently something happened to my Global membership, they could see I had it in the past. I'm not sure if it was a user error or system problem. I was told it would be $100 more a month to be able to use their location. I told them to let me think about it since I'm going back to Illinois in 3 weeks. Plus I wanted to talk to the studio where I got my original membership. I just logged in to my account and all classes I had booked were cancelled at Clearwater and my Illinois studio. Again I had a global membership or so I thought, and am not opposed to doing that again. What really annoyed me was they did not say, hey let's look at your membership and see what your options are he just made it clear that he was not getting paid and I should not be able to take classes there. Not the kind of experience I want when I'm dealing with a business, there was no effort to work with me as a customer, his only concern was that he wasn't getting paid. Has me reevaluating where I should take Pilates classes.

Book your class online and check-in on the ipad upon entry, put your personal items in a cubby, grab a reformer and props if they aren't already set up for you. Very simple! There are many classes to choose from so it can fit into anyone's schedule. Before moving i went to a small Pilates boutique where i got a lot of attention from the instructors. I was worried that would be an issue coming to a bigger studio. It was not!! The instructors make sure to provide feedback and make corrections. My schedule allows for the 6 or 7 am classes so that's when i typically go. For the free class i did a beginner class and the instructor quickly recommended i move to intermediate and ive got to say I'm loving it! The challenge in intermediate is why i get up on Tuesdays to see Kate and get my weak core in shape. In addition the place is simply beautiful. The reformers come with straps so no need to bring your own. Grippy socks and water bottles are sold in house if you forget to bring them. I also want to add I didn't feel like a beginner in the intermediate class because the instructors do very well at making the practice accessible to the range of skill levels with progression and alternative techniques for a movement. Thanks Pilates Haus!

I would not hesitate to recommend her to practically anyone, whether 20 or 90, athlete and gym rat or completely new to exercise, dealing with an illness or injury or in top shape. Leslie excels in her effort and ability to appraise her clients' individual and evolving needs. When it comes to physical training, she knows what I need before I do. Not only that, but I've found the same sometimes holds true on a mental and emotional level as well; in the short time I've been working with her, I've gained more useful insight than perhaps I've ever gotten from any therapist or teacher. I've quickly come to consider Leslie a friend and mentor on top of being an invaluable trainer. Truly an ace personal trainer and a gem of a person.
