Brides beware! THEY CHARGE YOU TO SHOP HERE. I booked an appointment here based on the good reviews, and when credit card info was requested to book the appointment I thought nothing of it since some other bridal shops require a deposit for your appointment, to be charged only if you no-show which I completely understand. I showed up on time for my appointment on a weekday afternoon (not typically a peak time), was shopping by myself since my family lives out of town, and tried on a number of dresses before it became clear they didn't have "the dress" for me so we ended the appointment a little early. There was nothing extra provided here - just someone to help you try on dresses as it is at every bridal salon, a dressing room, and a mirror. After the appointment, I noticed my credit card was charged $27.06. I figured it was an oversight so I emailed them to get it reversed, and they informed me that's not a deposit - that's what they charge customers to shop here and refused to refund it. I never would have made an appointment had I realized I would be charged to shop here, and it seems like a shady practice to charge brides to shop at your store. Before it even came to my attention that I had been charged for my appointment, I told my fiancé this was the one place I would not consider going back to since I felt like I was there to buy a used car, not my wedding dress. I was repeatedly asked what was keeping me from buying today and was told that there would be a discount only if I bought my dress there that day. The couple other salons I've been to have not pressured me at all to move forward that day and have told me to sleep on it and come back to try my favorite dress on again to make sure it's the right dress for me since buying your wedding dress is a special thing and not something you should feel pressured into. I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone based on both the experience and their billing practices. read more

I booked a bridal appointment at Winnie Couture awhile ago. My family made arrangements to fly in for this weekend for 1) my birthday weekend and 2) for my mother to be a part of the experience for me to find my wedding dress. In less than 48 hours notice, Winnie Couture called to cancel my appointment. I understand that they had a staff member fall ill but that is not an excuse to cancel on someone. My family has owned their own business for over 30 years. They have never cancelled on a customer because someone was ill...they instead jumped in and made it happen. Shame on this bridal studio for robbing me and my family from this experience. Y'all could have had a supervisor come in and service the appointment. It's simple if you have good customer service. Jenna was very hands on from the moment I inquired she took the time to listen to what my needs were and when I got to the boutique how she greeted me and my family was beautiful! Everything was prepared and ready to go! She was very thorough when going over every detail she felt I needed to know! She was patient and creative! I wanted a dress with a lot of sparkle and specific train. We were able to take one dress and apply another dress over it to see how it would look with the train I wanted! That is the type of bridal stylist you should get!! Although I was not able to try on my dress due to not having the size in store! She brought the dress to life on a mannequin applying the straps and train. And LETS NOT FORGET THE VEIL!!! I LOVE HER! her energy was contagious! After a marathon dress search that covered 2 states, 14 bridals stores and over 50 dresses, I FINALLY found my dress at Winnie Couture!!! I can't say enough great things about this store and my experience and would highly recommend this designer to any bride. By the time I made my appointment at Winnie, I was pretty discouraged when it came to finding THE dress. I'm having a black tie wedding and wanted something formal, elegant, dramatic and most importantly, SATIN. These parameters ended up eliminating 75% of the dress choices that are currently available and I was unsure whether I would be able to find the dress of my dreams. The absolute best part of Winnie Couture is that they give their brides the option to completely customize their dress. Other stores I visited could only make minor changes (i.e. adding a yard to the train or adding a sweetheart). But at Winnie Couture, you are allowed to make whatever changes you want. In my case, once I found a sample satin ballgown that I liked, I was free to start making the list of changes that I wanted in order to make the dress of my dreams. I ended up dropping the waist line a few inches, adding a sweetheart, removing the boning from the bodice, adding small pleats to the front of the skirt, and adding beading to the back of the train. While the changes do increase the price of the dress, in my opinion, it was money well spent. The staff was also very considerate of my budget, and even gave me some additional discounts in order to ensure I was as close to the budget as possible (only went over $50). The staff which was led by Kristy were awesome as they clearly listened to what I wanted, were open to seeing pictures and were very meticulous in taking measurements so that my dress will be created perfectly for me. I love the idea that I'll be wearing a one-of-a-kind creation on my special day. From a budgetary standpoint, I found the dresses here to be very reasonable given the selection and quality. They have two different labels (one with a more modest price point) to accommodate a range of budgets. If you're a more "high end" bride, you'll also feel right at home with their higher end label which includes luxurious fabrics & a greater amount of detail. As I learned, the sky's the limit when it comes to customer changes. The more changes you make, the more money you'll spend. But I did like how they were able to give me a specific price for each change so I could decide what changes I absolutely HAD to have, versus what I could live without. There's absolutely nothing I would change about my Winnie Couture experience. The store was lovely, the sample dresses were in impeccable condition and the staff was extremely attentive. My appointment ended up lasting a total of 2 hours and my future mother-in-law and I were the only ones in the store the entire time. Everything was perfect. The ONLY recommendation I would make is that the designer and store need to do more on the marketing end to get the word out about this store. Although I am relatively new to the DFW area, I had done significant research on different bridal stores in the area, and this store did not immediately pop up on any searches that I did. This designer, and the services they offer are so unique and its a shame that this store is still a bit under the radar. Absolutely loved this place!! A friend found her dress here and told me about it months ago but I could never remember the name. My maid of honor and I were having lunch on the patio at Gloria's and saw it across the street a few weeks ago so we popped in to have a look. We didn't have an appointment but we were able to look through the gowns and one of the conslutants gave us all the information and made an appointment for us. The appointment was last Saturday and it couldn't have gone better. It was the second salon we were scheduled for that day and it turned out to be the only one we needed. Annette was my stylist and she was so sweet and helpful. You can tell she really loves her job. She's super personable and knows the dresses inside out. Out of the three salons, she was the only stylist that prepped the dress for me to step into it. I know that sounds crazy,but some of those things are huge and it's not easy to find the floor and not trip on the dress. It's one of those little things that makes a big difference. She made the whole process so fun for me and my bridal party members that were with me. When we found the top 2-3 dresses, she made sure we went to the front of the store to get photos in sunlight so you could really see the detail. I'm sure all of the stylists are great...we met a few and they were all very nice and seemed to really enjoy their job. But if you can request Annette, do it...you'll be so glad you did. They kept the champagne flowing, the process moving along without it ever seeming rushed and had everything at their fingertips. I found the perfect dress and veil and was super excited to find out that I got 20% of that day. That really helped the budget. But in all honesty, their prices are fantastic. The dresses are GORGEOUS and high quality for great prices. We looked at two other salons (one I loved, one not so much) and Winnie was very competitive with the first one and WAY better than the second one. They also have a feature on their website that allows you to look through dresses and put them in a virtual closet prior to your visit so they can pull those gowns for you, and get a feel for your taste to show you others that are similar. They were the only one out of the three we went to that has this option. It was super helpful. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Winnie Couture was the first and only stop that I made in the search for the perfect dress! My consultant, Summer, was amazing!! Before my appointment she had me go online and put dresses I was interested in into my virtual "closet". During my actual appointment she asked me just a few questions to learn a bit more about my personality. From there she was able to pull out several dresses that she thought would fit my personality and style! She was right on the money!!! The VERY FIRST dress I tried on ending up being the one for me! I fell in love instantly. I tried on several dresses after that because I refused to believe the first dress would be THE dress... but it was!! I'm not just giving this place 5 stars because I said YES to the dress, but because it truly is a 5 star experience and by far, the best encounter we had at any bridal salon. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the front desk staff, offered champagne, and kindly informed of where the bathroom was. The girls were friendly, bubbly, and got us laughing again (we were a bit worn out after our previous bridal salon experience before coming here). Annette was A-AMAZING! I was in their store helping a friend find shoes and we were treated very poorly by the stylist. We were never able to try on the shoes we were interested in because the stylist said others looked "more bridal". Absolutely Stunning! I found this boutique by accident and I'm SO glad I did. My mom and I walked in, made an appointment for the next morning (Labor Day), I tried on one dress and I knew it was THE ONE! The staff, specifically (Sabreen) is absolutely amazing, sweet, patient and overall has a wonderful spirit. She picked the perfect dress for me to try on and I fell in LOVE. I cannot stop looking at the pictures because they're so beautiful (even in the sample dress). I definitely recommend this high end boutique. Winnie Couture is fantastic! Before last Saturday I had never put on a wedding dress. The girl helping me, whose name I cannot remember to save my life, was so knowledgable and knew exactly what to put me in. I tried on the second dress and knew it was it. There were 6 of us at my appointment and when we walked in I had to fill out a little sheet about me. The consultant was ready to go and greeted us with champagne and let my family sit in front of the mirror by the dressing room. They have all the dresses lined up along the outside of the room, with the 2 hangar colors signifying the price range ($1500-7k). We walked around, pulling the dresses that interested me. She helped me into the dresses and we showed my family. When she could tell I liked the dress, we walked out into the middle of the floor and put on my family veil I brought and put the whole look together. Purchasing the gown was easy, but they do not do alterations there so you have to take the dress elsewhere. They recommend someone though. After the purchase I got to take a picture with their sign that says "I said yes to the dress!" It was a great experience and I am so glad they were there to help me pick the perfect dress! read more

Buying my gown at the Winnie Couture Flagship Bridal Salon in Frisco was one of the best experiences in my wedding planning process! I met some Winnie representatives at the Dallas Bridal Show and got a discount for booking an appointment that day! So my mom and I booked for that afternoon and drove straight to the salon. We were met with warm smiles and chilled champagne! The stylist who helped me start a dressing room was extremely helpful, and the dressing rooms themselves made me feel like a princess. I found and ordered the gown of my dreams that day. The stylist talked me through adding some fabulous custom crystal straps to the strapless gown. We rushed the dress order, and it fit perfectly when it came in. The only thing we had to alter were the custom straps. They were supposed to be removable via snaps, but they were a bit too short and came off easily. Winnie recommended a great tailor who added the straps permanently to the dress, and I couldn't have been happier. Winnie even hosted a Dress Reveal Party for my bridal party and I! I had a wonderful experience and would recommend Winnie Couture to anyone. read more

Oh my gosh!!! A friend of mine is getting married and we went to Winnie after hearing RAVING reviews about it, and they met EVERY one of our needs! They were so open to not only listening to their brides, but HEARING them and what they want. They were so friendly, Chelsea and Kristy were especially helpful. I met Charissa (Stylist) at a Bridal Expo...let me just say she is absolutely great. She was so professional and very informative as well as the rest of the staff at the boutique. She picked all of the dresses from my closet and more! They got me to try dresses I may not have even considered. I found my dress and it happened to be one of the ones they chose for me. They knew right away that, that particular dress would fit my shape. THERE'S MORE!!!! I brought my mother, sister-in-law and mother-in-law with me to the appointment. I felt awful for having found my dress at my first store with out my sister being there. She offered to book another appointment and recreate the moment so I could have my sister there with out her finding out that I had picked it already. Charissa went above and beyond and made it happen and took the time to come in on her day off just to accommodate me and be there. The staff made this moment so special and I am so grateful for them. It is a wonderful store and very clean and classy. I do however want to warn shoppers that if they order a dress it is not meant to be custom sized as mentioned. What they really mean is that its made to fit close to your body but not exactly to your body shape. The dress I purchased is beautiful and I love it but it would've been more helpful to know that custom fit , isn't really custom fit so there were a lot of altering to do to the dress which was definitely not what I was expecting. Luckily the Winnie Couture staff was understanding and were able to come to the fitting to make sure the dress fit perfectly and worked everything out for me. I would recommend. Our experience was not pleasant. The girls working at the store don't seem to have that much experience. My daughter was fitted for her dress and the salesperson ordered her the exact size that she measured. From what I've learned from several bridal shops this is a rookie mistake. When the dress arrived it was too tight and now it was our problem to get it taken out. Which by the way is not as easy as Winnie Couture says it is. It created such a stressful environment for all the fittings from Winnie Couture to our seamstress. I would never recommend this place. Then there was no apology or discount on a veil, nothing. I went to Winnie Couture after going to 2 other dress shops and not finding what I wanted. From the moment I stepped into the store, the expectations I had were much higher than the previous stores. This store is very elegant and organized, and the dresses are very good quality. Jessica was my stylist, and she was perfect. She asked me exactly what I envisioned, and pulled a few dresses she thought I would like. They all matched what I wanted, and I loved all of them. I started not feeling well, and she took care of me like a true professional, letting me take a break and relax, and not pushing me to do anything I didn't want too. Finally, after going back to a few more stores, I decided on one of the dresses I tried on from Winnie. As for the actual dress, it was absolutely breathtaking. I always knew from the time I was a little girl I wanted a very elegant and fancy wedding, and my dress fit that perfectly. The details on the dress were very classy, and the design unique. It was also really cool that you could choose any bottom with any top, as the designer designs it for you individually. Some stores you get the dress off the rack or from the back. This is nice knowing I'm the only one who ever will wear my dress! The size we ordered was perfect, and even though one of their sales was technically over, they let us get it at a discounted price. Jessica even came with me to alterations to make sure they knew what to do, and that we were both comfortable with what was happening. There is not enough good things I can say about my whole experience from start to finish, and about Jessica. I highly recommend this store to any bride! read more

bought a gown from the Frisco location. Had a custom order done only for them to tell us after we received it 5 months later to say it was not a custom order. It did not fit my daughter. Too tight and loose in the wrong places. It was a couple of inches short too. They refused to cover the first alterations we had made. And made excuses to cover themselves. Bought a dress here for my daughter's upcoming wedding. Initial consultation and dress selection was great. Dress and veil were picked out and ordered. 30-45 minutes was spent taking measurements, as the sample size was a perfect fit, the neckline needed to be raised. The day of dress pick up was a completely different experience. Dress was 2-3 sizes too large; they said it was due to weight loss. My daughter had only lost 6 pounds-that would not cause the dress to be 2-3 sizes too big. Alterations are not done here because the dresses are suppose to fit so alterations are on you. Asked where the veil was and they didn't add it to the bill on the initial consultation. Asked for it and oops it's no longer available so a new veil had to be found. Had to pay for the veil and dress charges in 2 separate transactions because it couldn't be done all in one. Tried to pay with cash and no change available. The dress is being altered but it will have to be a total re-work. The tailor even said it appears that someone, be it the store or the manufacturer made a measurement mistake but neither will ever acknowledge that mistake.
