I just got my Toyota Tacoma smogged checked here. Great services, I was in and and out very quickly. Eddie was very nice and professional. Price was great! I was only charged $40. Other places always charge me more because I have a truck, which I never understood. I'll be coming back. read more

This is my first Yelp review... but I had to give props where props are due!! Due to the bi-annual smog test requirement in CA, I needed to go in and have this done prior to re-registering my vehicle. Earlier today, I went to get my oil changed and that place also did smog tests--he quoted me at $60 for the smog test, but stated he would give me a $20 off coupon. However, I had read great reviews on Yelp about A&E Smog Test Only, and wanted to go there instead. Since I was already in the area, I decided to try going and see if they were open. When I arrived, there was only one person ahead of me. I asked if they were closed and the gentleman said no. I went ahead and gave him my paperwork and waited. When I sat down in the waiting area, I saw their schedule was posted on the wall... and on Saturdays they close at 3! I arrived close to 4... and he still helped us both out. Honestly, to me that's outstanding customer service at its finest! (How many places give you attitude if you arrive even 5 minutes prior to when they close?) All in all, it took a little over 30 minutes (including the test for the person who arrived before me). The price seemed fair ($40 for the test + $8 for the certificate). The great part was, when I was paying, I told him that I had read these great reviews on here... and he said he was surprised, and that I was the second person today to tell him that. He seemed really glad that people were giving them such good reviews. Jokingly, he said "if you liked the service, maybe you could give us another great review." I told him I definitely would! I don't recall his name, but the person who helped me today was very honest and personable. I would definitely recommend this place. :) One note: A&E is on the same location as several other repair places. It is the last garage on the right-hand side. read more

They had a waiting room but my anxiety hit, and I was worried my car was not going to pass the smog check, so o I was restless and didn't use the waiting room. It passed!! Initially, I had a scheduled appointment at 10am today but came in 20 minutes early. I was out the door by 10:03am and man, Alex is amazing! He was very welcoming and was of great help. Called to make an appt for early Saturday morning - was running late due to our coming in from the Lancaster area. Called Alex to let him know that were were 15 mins late and he said, "No problem". Drove in - he was friendly and he got us checked and out in 13 mins flat as we had another appt that morning. Will definitely come back nxt year should I need another Smog Check. In terms of the actual smog check they do what they do. When it comes to the customer service they NEED some serious training. Alex (the owner) is great I've done my smog check when he's around and for him alone I would go back. When he's not there I will think twice to even inquire if they have time to smog my car. I was not greeted by his techs and they thought they were to good to be helping me or that's how they made it seemed. I understand they are only paid to do the smog but where is the customer service. After I left the shop my car wasn't running the same way (idling weird and dying out) so I called in to see if they had messed with anything in the engine bay. They pretty much brushed me off and said no that I was on my own. Next time I need a smog I will make sure Alex is there or I will be looking for a new station to visit and give my business to. read more

I went here for my smog!! They were so professional. He introduced him self to me the minute I came out of my car.. And told me not to worry about my car and to sit down and relax. He was so nice to me, and he was super fast. I've been to so many smog places but none of them I felt comfortable (since I'm a girl and taking the car to get a smog check). My husband has a transportation Business. He has over 25 cars I finally found a place where I can take the cars 2. This is the smog test site with the best price and customer service. The people are friendly and paid the same as what I was quoted over the phone. It's not like I look forward to getting a smog check (bc I hate tests of any kind- they make me nervous) but this place makes it a such a breeze that I am compelled to write them a review! They are so nice, the price is right, the waiting area is comfy and air conditioned, but you don't really get much of a chance to experience the waiting area bc you are in and out in less than fifteen minutes without an appt! soo... i came here after reading the yelp review (ty so much btw... saved me from a horrid man- but i'll elaborate on that later) i was in a hurry to do my smog test since my renewal was due the next day- so i called up everywhere to see who could accommodate me. i came across one not too far from this place and asked for a quote. i never got one- the guy actually dodged the question REPEATEDLY. then told me to just come over and print a coupon for $10 off ($10 off what?) anywho called up a&e after reading the review and immediately got a decent quote for my old '99 integ and was told that i could come right in. i didn't have to wait very long and my car was finished in a snap. bottom line: don't waste your time looking all over for a great deal. this place has quick service and the people here are HONEST and really friendly. read more
