My car needed a smog in order for me to get my registration sticker mailed from the DMV. A quick yelp search turned up this place at the top option and I can see why. I called them to see if I could stop by without an appointment. The person on the phone was very friendly and 10 minutes later there I was. Service was fast and friendly, I was in and out in about 30 minutes. The person working there (Alejandro I think his name was?) said the DMV have been contacted that my car had passed the smog and I was all set to get my registration. My car is 16 years old so I took my car in early to be smog checked in case there was a problem. The technician said he was unable to perform my check because he pointed out that a few hoses were not attached correctly. I left and had them repaired and came back to have my car smog checked. He only charged me $40 total, which included the certificate. This was the least expensive price that I found. I like the fact that he was looking out for me with letting me know that the hoses were loose. I highly recommend Winnetka Smog. read more

Never thought I'd be rating a smog check place, but I've been here twice and surprisingly have had two very pleasant experiences. I went here initially as they quoted me only $40 out the door for my 2003 Civic (all other places quoted $50 or more). They are friendly, efficient, and do their best to create a comfortable environment for the little hole they're crammed in. I've dealt with two different employees and they were both professional and pleasant. At no point did I ever feel like they were trying to pull one over on me or skimp on the job. This is one of those rare automotive businesses that seems to operate on the level. The worst part of this place? Finding it amongst the glut of auto service joints in the San Fernando Valley. Easiest way to find it; it's on the South side of Saticoy St, just to the West of the Saticoy/Winnetka intersection. Look for the Carl's Junior, and its right across the street. read more

2/4/15 This is the only place I will take my car for a Smog Test, best people in the Valley! I had gone to another place because I was in a hurry to renew my registration and the guy there failed me and said three things we wrong with my car but I passed the emissions test.
