This was my second oil change so it should be $5, but they accidentally gave me the full price one. Luckily when I let them know this was my second oil change they easily fixed it. I did see the oil was about the same price as other places, so that's good. The first time I got an oil change they forgot to reset the service notice in my car. But this time I asked to make sure they'd reset it, and they did! Only thing I forgot to ask was to make the correct number of miles for when I come in again. My KIA can go 7,500 miles before the next change but both times the sticker tells me 3k miles. I don't know if that's a computer thing or they simply don't know, but I'll just be going by when my car tells me to go in again. Everyone is nice and friendly from what I saw! But the little mistakes is why I made it 4 stars instead of 5. But to me, 4 stars is still excellent. Also their free service for a car wash is what you'd expect. It gets the major grime off, but both times there has been certain "stains" or residue left behind on the windows. Don't expect a completely clean car from it! Best to go to an actual car wash place for that if you want pristine. Still great for being free!

Before bringing it here, an independent scan had already shown multiple engine-related codes, including misfires and timing/camshaft correlation codes. While driving to the dealership, the vehicle went into limp mode on the highway. Luther Nissan Kia documented that the engine was approximately 4 quarts low on oil in a 6.5-quart system. I specifically told service advisor Stephen Stulz in writing that replacing spark plugs looked like treating a symptom, not the root cause. I asked where the oil went and asked for the root cause to be investigated. Despite that, they charged me for spark plugs and an oil service. When I came to pick up the vehicle, the Check Engine light was already back. Then they charged me again for an oil control valve. That repair also failed almost immediately, with the Check Engine light returning shortly after I left. Only after two paid failed repairs did they move toward a much more serious camshaft / CVVT / timing-related repair estimate of about $5,600. The communication after that was extremely poor. The vehicle stayed with them for months, and for long periods I received no meaningful updates unless I pushed for answers. In my experience, they did not seriously engage with the problem until I filed complaints and took legal action. After that, their explanations kept shifting toward warranty coverage, mileage, possible used-engine speculation, and customer authorization instead of directly addressing why the root cause was not properly diagnosed from the beginning. In my opinion, this was a very poor diagnostic process and a very poor customer-service experience. They documented severe oil loss, received a written root-cause concern through their service advisor, charged for multiple repairs that did not fix the vehicle, left the vehicle unresolved for months, and only became responsive after outside pressure. After this experience, I will not use Luther Nissan Kia or any Luther-affiliated service department again. I previously trusted the Luther network with this vehicle, but that trust is gone.

At the pump, I looked to see if there was a sticker saying you had to prepay (cash) before pumping. There was none. I lifted the nozzle, chose Pay Inside and the grade of gas I wanted. The screen said, "Waiting for Cashier Approval". I waited and waited and waited and waited. Suddenly a large African American man came around the corner of my truck and yelled, "What's going on over here?!!" I noted the screen said waiting for approval and I was waiting for that to happen. He yelled, "You have to put your card in the reader!" I told him I was paying in cash. He yelled, "You have to push "Pay Inside". I told him I already did that. Then he yelled, "You have to pay inside first before you can pump!!!" I asked why there wasn't a sticker on the pump to indicate that to the customer (as I've seen such stickers on places who do have that requirement). He again yelled, "There are no pumps in the country where you can pump before paying cash. You always have to pay first!!!" (Calm down already). So I went in to pay in cash first and he continued on and on and on about how there are no pumps in the United States where you can pump before paying and how stupid was I to think so! I told him there certainly are stations where you can pump first and then go inside and pay. He called me a liar and asked me to show him such a place. I told him about another Marathon station in NE Mpls on Johnson Street where I buy gas frequently. I pump first, then go in and pay. And there are quite a few other places where I buy gas that do the same. He called me a liar again and again claimed there are no such gas stations in the United States. So it appears this employee is grossly misinformed and would rather argue with a customer and call customers liars than admit he is wrong or at least could be mistaken. Oh well, it's not like have to ever buy gas at his place again and I won't. Why would anybody subsidize this behavior? To be clear, I have no problem with paying cash first before pumping gas. But every place I've previously encountered that requires this has had a sticker on the pump so you know what to do. Since this pump did not (and I've pumped-first, paid-after at other Marathon stations), it came as a surprise to me when Mr. Yelling Employee came barreling around my truck lambasting me with his incorrect information about how all the gas pumps in the entire United States work. To the manager of this place, Mr. Yelling Employee desperately needs some intense customer service training. Or just fire him. He was the one ringing up customers at about 12:55 pm on 5-3-2025. He reflects very poorly on your business. I can only image the type of encounters other customers have had with this individual.

Maybe warm drink will help your throat. He had just made it fresh. I love coffee so I took him up on offer and said thank you. Whether or not it helps throat remains to be seen but he certainly made me feel better that he cared.
