The gal was on the phone, the guy stuttered for a long seconds with "uhhhhhhhh.....it starts at $35". I asked him why does it costs less than an oil change, the stated price on the sign board, in their shop, for $30. He said: that's inside. I said: What's the difference between inside and outside? He replies: well...that's the advertised price inside, in the event that we run a special. Normally, an oil change costs $70. Really? They're in the business of slashing 60% off? Terrible liar. After sensing a complete bait-n-switch with a flavor ful of up-pricing, I just leave. How hard is it to move 2 tires from the back to the front, and vice versa? And, for $35? Ha! The owners took my concern seriously and scheduled a call with me. They were extremely empathetic and apologetic, then fixed the problem immediately. This impressed me immensely. To sum this up, they have fixed 100% of my problems for the 6 cars that I've brought in during the last 24 years. And they 100% addressed the 1 billing glitch quickly and effectively during that time frame. I'm quite happy with Pace's. You really can't ask for anything more than that kind of workmanship and customer service.

Communication from all the staff at Pace Automotive is excellent, and I've even had some great conversations with them, which is rare for me at places like this. What really stands out is the atmosphere. It's calm, the service area is clean, and the employees are consistently respectful. It feels different from your typical auto shop or gas station. I've remained a loyal customer. I have yet to have mechanical service but I continue to purchase gas, since their prices are often lower than other places in the area. I also appreciate how they seem to look out for the community by keeping prices more affordable.

After that, my car started making a rattling noise, which they claimed they "didn't hear" when I brought it back. They also said diagnosing an oil leak would be free, but then charged me. After driving about 100 miles, they told me they still couldn't find the source and that I'd need to pay more for them to remove the oil pan and keep looking. Took it to a real mechanic who found the issue in under 15 minutes. These people are full of it. Do not get anything other than an oil change done here.

I showed my Hertz paperwork, but instead of reviewing it, he handed it back and told me to leave. The interaction felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Customers deserve respectful communication and proper appointment verification before being dismissed.

It was a busy day and they had 3 people on the registers, Chris immediately went behind the counter to start helping out - I love seeing that! Since COVID is still present in the area, they have little "6 ft away" stickers on the ground for places people can stand to maintain distance. Their "start here" line for the cash register can be a bit confusing as the divider to guide people to the registers is off to the side and most of the time I go in here the line is always in a different direction. Grandview not only gave her a reasonable cost on the oil change, they fixed her door issue for free. They gave her the right advice on quoting the window issue and did the work in less than half the already reasonable cost quoted. I live in Wisconsin and not being close is not ideal. It's a little hard to get to with the construction- but I'm hoping it'll be finished by the end of the season. I waited in line for a quick service oil change for a bit before anyone noticed me. I interacted with two employees- one was a woman who was a 10/10 and had amazing customer service. The other was a gentlemen who directed me while pulling in my car, he gets a 3/10 because well he was rude. Had I not interacted with him I would've given this place 5 stars. I was given the option to stay in the car or go inside, I was pressed on time so I waited inside. It took about 15/20 minutes from the time I pulled in to when I left. There was a coupon online which brought my oil change to about $70, seemed a little high but at that point it didn't bother me- I assume they charged what was needed. If you're in need of quick service oil changes this could be a solid option.
