I have mixed feelings about this location. They have a lot of stock and different items throughout the store, but it just doesn't feel that clean to me. Perhaps it's just too cluttered, especially the bakery. And those bakery items, like the cakes and pastries, just don't stand up to the quality of other grocery stores in the area. They do have lots of parking and the staff is relatively friendly here. read more

As you can see from my review of the same chain in Marco Island, not all Winn-Dixies are created equal. Let us start with the fact that any fruit you purchase here must be consumed immediately? After a day it starts going bad. Prices? Much more expensive than Publix, even with the bogus savings card. Service? HAHAAAHAHHAAAA wait, let me catch my breath, HAHAAAHAHAAA. So I have a 40 lb. bag of dog food. The UPC (bar code) number is written on the side in HUGE numbers so the cashier can manually input the number so you don't have to put it on the belt, right? How do I know this valuable snippet of info? Because I have been purchasing dog food for TWENTY years. The cashier argues with us. Insists that its not the case. She wants us to put it on the belt. We tell her to input the number as my hubby reads it. She argues but we wont budge. Then I notice she purposefully inputs it wrong TWICE!!!!! I was watching. She kept on going "See!! You are wrong!" So I told her to put it in right because I saw her do it wrong twice. She did, it went through and she was a total bitch for the rest of the experience. I use the word bitch to be nice, I have a much better word for her behavior but won't write it here. We tell a manager and guess what? He was a complete douche too! So if the food isn't fresh, the prices more expensive and the customer service dismal, why bother with Publix and Sedano's down the street! read more

Why Why Why ? Throughout the years, I keep giving this place another chance only to be disappointed one more time....yes I know, it is my fault for returning, but sometimes it is just on the way and it is easier to pull in rather than go somewhere else. Every time I come to replace my gas cylinder, it becomes a mission... what would normally take a few minutes ends up taking 15 to 20 minutes. It is borderline ridiculous. Occasionally I will come across a cheerful cashier, and I must admit that it appears as if they are trying to improve but they still fall quite short of what is reasonably expected. I honestly believe Miami customer service needs tons of improvement when it comes to grocery stores, it reflects badly on management. I was here yesterday and I have been coming here for years and the only reason I still shop here is because it's convenient. This Winn Dixie is never packed, so I'd understand if it was as busy as a Wal-Mart but it's usually relaxed; so I do not see why employees are unwilling (and lazy) to help customers. I understand the majority do not speak English or choose not to speak English and that's fine with me because I am bilingual. I make the effort to try to translate the names of products/perishable foods to Spanish to avoid a communication conflict, but if they don't have the slightest idea what I am talking about they do not try to assist me. Yesterday I went looking for a product and I checked the stands repeatedly before approaching an employer. He asked me to check lines 1 and 3 which I had already done. When I informed him of that so he threw his hands in the air, shrugged, and said, "Yo no se entonces" (I don't know then). Seriously? I think it is worth driving a couple of miles away to a Publix or another grocery store whose employees is willing to assist me. read more

Been coming here since I moved to Miami. Haven't had a complain, people are nice, price is ok, and now for every $75 or more, I get to save $5-$10 Bucks on Gas. (Get the Winn Dixie Card). Comparing to Publix; Winn Dixie is much cleaner, more friendly and closer, to me. I see it like this, "Publix = Public School". "Winn Dixie = Private School" Just pay a few more cents and you'll understand the VIPness when you walk in. I love it, and I'm sure you're gonna love it too! Sorry, but Sharai R. could not be more wrong. Terrible experience 90% of the time. This store only gets my business because it's on my way home from work. Expect long lines and a long wait to checkout. They never seem to be short staffed, just always the minimum amount of registers open. Poor customer service, and if you don't speak Spanish, it'd be best to find goods yourself or track down a manager. Be careful crossing into the store from the parking lot. Cars use it as a pass-through between 41st and 107th during rush hour. One positive, if you drive a Benz, BMW, or Lexus, they seemingly offer premium curbside parking for you right in front of the store. Just look for the painted area labeled "FIRE ZONE". This also applies for anyone using RedBox. read more

More limited selection. Not a place to buy decent quality meats. Meats are either about to expire, have a strange smell, or horrible texture no matter how they're cooked (specifically chicken). Before purchasing any baked goods, be sure to double check them for freshness. I've found mold on numerous (over 6 different containers during one visit) packaged WD muffins. We had told an employee about the mold and she didn't seem very bothered by it. It's okay to stop here for basic needs but if you need meats or baked goods, I highly suggest buying elsewhere. read more

Going to this supermarket reminds me why I avoid Winn Dixie like the plague! In general, after 20+ years living in S. Florida, I have come to realize that Winn Dixie is where all the Publix food leftovers make a pit-stop before they get to Walmart. Let me clarify one thing: I live right across from this Doral strip mall so for non-food items, I walk to Winn Dixie. That said, I don't think anyone in this supermarket speaks English! I know I am asking for a lot, considering I live in Little Caracas... but wouldn't it improve their customer service if they employed just one Anglophone? The other thing that really pisses me off is the self check-out lanes. They have 4 but for the past 2 years, either 2 or 3 are functional. Their meat/poultry section wreaks and their produce section has lots of greens that aren't so green anymore! I have bought Goya and Mazzetti olives in salt brine and every time, the jar has all the small squished ones. This has never happened to me at Publix on 107th & 58th! Another time, I bought Philadelphia cream cheese and it had already expired but was still on the shelf (shouldn't they have removed it and shipped it to "the socio-economic experiment", a.k.a. "The Zoo", a.k.a. Walmart?). Siskel & Ebert would give this Winn Dixie two thumbs underground. read more

I'm usually a Publix kinda girl; however, this is one of the better Winn Dixie's I have even seen. This Winn Dixie is big, bright and always clean, unlike, many of the others I have visited (in my opinion). I went in to purchase a birthday cake and to my surprise they have a big selection of cakes, cupcakes and fine desserts; fit to accommodate everyone's economic situation and taste. The deli is in front of the bakery and they also have an array of foods, (hot and cold), breads and sandwiches. They even have a small salad bar containing lettuces, pasta salads and toppings. The deli also contains readymade lunches which include a sandwich, chips and a soda. Furthermore, they have a sitting section by the deli department in case you want to have lunch there. Like many of the other Winn Dixie's this one is also equipped with self checkout. My only complaint is the location. It's in the Doral, close to my job but far from live. Other than the location I would recommend this Winn Dixie. read more

Try to flag down an employee to ask a question. Right. What do they care. Service sucks, beer and wine selection: close to non-existant (you can't count Miller or Bud as beers, come on!), and food meh. Back in November 2014 I was picking up a few things from the bakery and a young lady working there told me she made the best tres leeches in the entire state. I was of course doubtful of that, however I took a small one home just to try since she sounded so confident. Well, I have come back 10 times since then to get "the best 3 leches" in the world..,hands down. They also make an entire cake of tres leches, which I just purchased one for a birthday and everyone simply loved the cake. I don't know how they do it, because it certainly looks like a regular cake. It's moist, yet covered with solid layers like a regular cake and it's not too sweet like a regular tres leches. Honestly I don't know how they manage to get so many flavors together, so tasty and professionally done type cake...and for that price..I'll be back over and over no doubt! read more

I like the fuel perks when you buy here. They also have a great Vegetable area and Deli. Like chicken Wings, then you hit the Jackpot. This place has at least 500 wings to just walk up, grab a container and start picking the flavors to go. One thing I dislike, is the cafe. I love their cafecito, however the people working behind the counter need to drink the espresso and get with the program. Way to slow and talk to much to their peers while you wait there to order. this is my favorite Winn Dixie. I have one closer to my house but its really dirty and the people that go there are strange. i drive 10 min to this supermarket because its so clean and people are so nice and thre is never a line! the deals at Winn Dixie are way better than Publix deals & the discounts you get on gas are super too! its a win-win!! read more

This pace was confusing with the placement of their products, it was kind of dirty too. I don't speak Spanish at all and had a big issue just buying my groceries because the lady couldn't speak English and didn't ever try to get someone to translate or help me figure out what she was saying. This Winn Dixie is just a couple streets away from my job so I am often here buying a birthday cake, test flowers and such. The only thing I love about it is it's location and coming from someone in the fresh cut flower industry it is pretty safe to buy flowers here. Rewards card is a must. They now how a gas incentive that seems interesting. I just registered my new rewards card (They no longer just accept your phone #) Let's see how I rack up! read more

This is probably one of the nicer Winn Dixie's I have been to, however the downside is the customer service in the deli. I unfortunately do not speak Spanish and some of the employees there tend to be rude to me I feel bc of that ..yes I know it would be wise to learn Spanish and I would love to..however shouldn't they learn English as well if they are working in an industry that they will be providing customer service? read more

Terrible terrible terrible customer service. I only go here because it's a block away from my house. Won't go back. Im 8 months pregnant and was trying to rush to pack my items when I was checking out and I could barely reach my items on the counter because I'm not going to lay my belly down to get my stuff when the terrible cashier was just staring at me and wouldn't help pack or slide my things over. So rude. He just looked at me and then when another customer put there stuff down he started ringing them up before I was could finish. Cashiers are usually unhelpful but once they're done scanning they slide stuff over or help you quickly bag. But not this guy. ALSO So dirty when you walk in the have brown napkins sprayed with who knows what kind of cleaning product to wipe your carts. It's a big company you would expect they would have sanitary items on hand for customers and employees to stay safe during these times. read more

The only reason I went into this one was that I happend to be at the Korean restaurant in the same plaza. Winn Dixie underwent bankruptcy reorganization, and I think it's done some good. Vegetables are a little better than Publix. Some people are offering free samples of stuff (weekend). However, I think the stores vary a little by location. read more

I switched from Walmart to Winn Dixie a few months ago, because Winn Dixie is never crowded, and they have great buy one get ones. The problem is, every time I go I have to double check my receipt before leaving because the correct discount is never applied. Yesterday really annoyed me because after having issues the last time I shopped, I made sure to check the ad properly, and also the sign hanging under the product i was getting. Still when I checked out there was no discount, and when I pointed it out I get an attitude response of- we'll give it to now but these are different products. I was like, um then you need to recheck the ads that Winn Dixie is putting out and check the signs they correspond with the product! Don't make me feel dumb, and annoying I have to check my receipt every time I leave. I'm going to give them 1 more try and if I have another issue I'll go back to fighting the crowds at Walmart. read more

Winn Dixie Doral 33178...This store is a joke. Every single time I go there it's a problem. This time I'm running in for 6 items at 11:45 and go to the service desk and they are closed and instruct me to the express lane and when I go there they also say they are closed. What awful service. If you close atv12 then close at 12.... I then said what terrible customer service and when leaving I was at the door and said I should just take a photo to send to corporate and the employee that should be dismissed yelled CHEESE at me ... I urge the powers that be to please watch the cameras at approx 11:45 and watch the service... excuse "lack of service" and make necessary adjustments... hopefully the CHEESE lady will learn customer service skills as well as the service desk people who never even looked up or said a kind word... please watch the joke of service on the cameras.
