A lot has transpired since my last review and, unfortunately, not for the best. Yes, it is still ample in size and, like other Publix stores, one can find pretty much any item one is looking for. Ambiance -- This is a huge problem. Reason: This particular store is located within nearby schools. These middle/high school students congregate at this store after school. These groups of kids, in general, will take food from the deli's hot lights and minutes later will put the same item back [package open] once they have nibbled on it, as the supervisor on the floor watches them do it. These groups of kids, in general, will congregate in the dining/cafe sitting area without any food/drink items and make it their recreational area, all while the paying customers are either trying to find a place to sit or trying to not get bumped by these kids. Some people use this area as tutoring sessions and a place of business, all while paying customers are trying to use the area as well. Most times, it is impossible to find a seat for one to eat what has been purchased. Management -- There are plenty of them, but don't ask the floor supervisors for anything that will be deemed "out of the way" for them, especially when addressing the disturbance of these school kids. I complained once about this issue and the [lady] manager was so afraid to address this matter that she called for other managers for help. Instead of addressing the disruptive behavior of these kids, she thought best for me to either deal with it or just leave the store. One of the managers she was talking to even gave me a stare down, as if wanting to intimidate me, but unfortunately for him, he was unsuccessful. This prompted me to take my business to another Publix and I would suggest you do so as well. It is not worth the hassle...! read more

Publix is usually a must visit when I'm traveling in the south. The prices are good and the quality is a big plus.

It is Publix and it is always the same - fresh, top notch fruits, meats and dairy. There is truly only one grocery chain that is the top in Florida and it is Publix. The Deli is always packed but worth it and quite frankly simply the best fried chicken around. read more

I have a meeting in Doral in a bit so I stopped here to grab a bite to eat and buy some things I need. This is such a clean Publix. The associates are so friendly. So many of them said good morning to me and the bonus is I get to practice my Spanish which I love. I love all of their displays, they're pretty cool. Maybe this one is a little smaller than a typical one but they still have everything you need. They also have a little Bodega where you can get Spanish treats like empanadas and croquettes. I do wish they were hotter. They have a two-story parking garage. They need it because there is not much parking surrounding the building. The parking garage is pretty easy to get in and out of. I will definitely stop here again when I need a few things and have time to burn. read more

I enjoyed shopping here during my week and half stay in the area. The store was located in close proximity to my AirBnB. For this reason, I was able to walk here at any time for a quick morning beverage at the small cafe' inside of the store or to purchase some groceries to cook instead of ordering takeout. In terms of stock, the store offered pretty much whatever I needed. Even when they did not feature a preferred brand, there was always a comparable substitute. As far as the store's features, there was a deli, vast produce section, bakery and a pharmacy, as well as the cafe' earlier mentioned. My customer service experience was also good. In the rare instance that I could not locate an item, there was always a willing employee ready to assist. Overall, the convenience factor of the location could not be beat. I could literally walk out of the condo lobby and just a few feet to the store. I would definitely shop here when in town again. read more

This is a great Publix location. I've been shopping here for about a year now. It's a very clean, modern and convenient store. There are 2 parking locations both free garage parking and street parking but a couple of months ago, the City of Doral put meter parking all over the city otherwise parking is quite easy. The staff and management at Publix are wonderful. The deli dept is great and I love their buffet area. The food is quite delicious. The store has never had a storage of food of any items and always their BOGO deals. The only issue I have with this store is the nearby school. At 3pm, the students come over to this Publix location to hang out. I was a kid once so I understand. But this place does get packed with kids both inside and outside especially many of them are waiting for their parents to pick them up. read more

I have always gone to PUBLIX, and not to WINN DIXIE, because of the convenience and quality, but you start wondering how they are not to believe when it comes to these types of survey stings that take up your time, they use to promote themselves and lie about any type of rewards offered. This is a bad Publix which is sad and surprising due to them being newly opened. Not only are they obviously over staffed, so much to the point that every-time I've been in this Publix the employees are most focused on socializing than helping customers. I waited 10 minutes in the sub shop line while 5 employees spoke and laughed back and forth only to be told that at 7:00pm they didn't have chicken tenders....why would they not have chicken tenders at this time? And I think they should let people know that especially since they had so much time to talk and laugh back and forth. After all that they only had 3 registers open with long lines....again, there were plenty of cashiers talking at customer service, stocking cigarettes, etc... but getting customers in and out in a timely manner wasn't a priority. Management is obviously lacking at this establishment and training for management and employees would be highly beneficial. ****also the lunch meat I paid 10.06 for went bad after 2 days. It had a rancid smell and a glazed look. After tasting it I knew it was bad and had to throw it away. read more

This publix is the bomb! I had yet to see a Publix that had a food bar with different options for lunch and think it's perfect that it's placed in an area where there's a lot of companies. They will definitely be taking me money for lunch more often! The first time I came here was a couple days after they opened. They had this Coke machine that gave you a free coke when you hugged it and had a bunch of little stands with staff handing out goodies to try and to take for free. I think my coworkers and I spent an hour there just trying everything and looking around. It's a HUGE Publix and even has its own parking above it. This publix is beyond amazing! It's fully stocked with all the goodies you have ever wanted (seriously, they have everything). It's clean, huge, and a great wine selection. I visited this publix a few days ago and oh my goodness.. it took my breathe away. There were no lines, extremely clean, and the people were ready to help you in whatever you needed. I was constantly being asked if I needed help. Parking isn't bad either they have as they have there own parking garage above the store and street parking if you want to go in and out really fast. They have 3 huge elevators located in the garage and takes you directly into publix. Each elevator can hold at least 3 shopping carts. The best part it's right by my job, so I think I found my my home away from home. This is the publix to go to when in Doral. Don't worry, you'll thank me later. read more

He even apologized for the wait, which was minimal. He was very friendly and kept a smile on his face the entire process. Thank you! This Publix is very well stocked, clean, and bright. This is the new Downtown Doral store. It seemed small. Smaller produce section and bakery. Maybe I am wrong. The store is clean and the staff very helpful as I was navigating around. It has all the usual things a Publix should have. The reason it does not have a fourth star is the carts. I parked right in front of the store. Curbside. SCORE!! As I tried to take my cart to my car an auto brake on the front wheel engaged and stopped my cart. Well in a demonstration of things in motion stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force my shin slammed into the back part of the under rack on the cart. It still hurts two hours later. I did notice some carts without the device to stop them so if I go back I need to pay attention. How about a warning Publix. Understand you don't want your carts to wander away but how about letting me get to the curb. If not, I will be shopping at a store that will let me take my purchase to my car. If this Publix isn't far from you, you should make it your "home" Publix. FRIENDLY and knowledgeable staff. All willing to help and go above and beyond the call of duty. 90% of the employees speak English. I couldn't find something and the clerks helped diligently to find what was needed. Six eyes are better than two. They did not give up until the product was found even if it took looking in 3 aisles. The impression has been amazing. Nothing I have ever experienced at any other Publix, especially the one 1/8 of a mile from my house. It's going to be my pleasure to drive 6 miles to do groceries here. The selection is more than any shopper needs and I guarantee you won't need to run around to other stores to complete your shipping list. Way to go, Publix!!! The store is nice and clean. Staff around and at registers is super friendly. I would definitely give the store higher rating if it wasn't for the Deli counter. The slowest service I have ever experienced shopping during my adult life. It takes for ever to buy one type of ham and cheese. Communication is sometimes an issue but most importantly what bothers me is that employees that work behind the counter take their sweet time and stop cutting to have a pretty passionate conversations among themselves in Spanish. I try to avoid the Deli but really? Yesterday I needed fresh cuts. I timed me. There was one person waiting, my number was called in ab 2 minutes and I was done buying 0.5 pound of cheese and 1 pound of ham after 7 minutes. Total of 9 with empty store. It would have been an amazing store if it wasn't for the bad impression one depamakes. I doubt that management will do anything about it so not sure why I even bother.... read more
