He rushed through the entire procedure by quickly putting eye drops and proceeding immediately with the injection. When I saw the needle heading for my eye, I flinched on impulse and got yelled by this jerk . The jerk yelled at me " are you fucking nuts" , just imagine doctor yelling this during procedure. I felt excruciating pain as he injected needle in my eye. Once again , he clearly rushed (as he told me that he does 25 of these injections a day) and numbing drops clearly were not working yet . I asked my parents who had multiple eye injections done about what they felt during this procedure , they said barely felt anything. The same was confirmed by others. He is simply jerk and uncaring butcher. Left him immediately and went to another specialist.

They are highly ethical and treat both their patients and staff with the utmost respect. I have been examined by Dr. Wood for floaters. I am developing a cataract (fortunately does not need surgery) but when the time comes I would travel to Arlingon Heights from Chicago. They have the most up to date technology including laser cataract surgery.

Everything went very smoothly. One thing about this doctor I like is that he will give you his honest opinion. I guess it's easy for me to say that as I passed the exam with flying colors, but I think I would prefer that anyway. He gave me some really good advice the first time I came in to see him and I appreciated it. It saved me both money and insurance hassles. My father also sees Dr. Bendikas, and my mother used to see him too. Unfortunately, she has a complicated vision issue and he felt she needed a specialized care. He recommended someone else and he turned out to be the best specialist in the Chicagoland area. I last saw the ophthamologist 11/2023. I suddenly received 2…read morenotices from a collection agency indicating a balance due of $26.27. I made 5 phone calls to the Midwest Ctr for Sight finance office, only reaching a real person on the 5th call. (no reply to the 4 previous voice messages left). I was informed that this amount was not covered by insurance. The person was not authorized to write off the balance, even though the charges were 2 years old. This is consistent with the poorly run office staff, causing patients to wait over an hour past their appointment time. The finance department indicates that she is cleaning up old accounts. To get them off my back, I agreed to pay the balance. Technically they are not entitled to payment that is 2 years old.
