Best and freshest wings I ever tried. Sandwiches are also made on order. A must try in Oakville

This Sandwich shop is a hidden Gem and it doesn't get the credit it deserves. The sandwiches here…read moreare on another level. It blows my mind why this place doesn't have more raving reviews. As a long time Yelper and connoisseur of great food, I highly recommend this place. My favourites sandwiches : Figaro & David Guaranteeing you will go back after the first experience.

I love the name of this Oakville establishment, the Sandwich Society, however I did not like their…read moresandwiches quite as much. Let me preface by saying that their OG The David sandwiches are not bad. The focaccia bread was nice, and the sauce is solid where they didn't overdo the truffle flavours. What they however overdid was the prosciutto. Sometimes in life, less is more. They just went 'ham' with layers upon layers of what tasted like the cheap San Daniele prosciutto (according to the website they used ones produced by local Niagara farmers), where in parts of the sandwich that didn't have the mozzarella cheese, the sandwich was inedible because it was so salty. By eating the entire sandwich, I would have exceeded the entire week's sodium intake. By the end, I had to throw a quarter of the sandwich out since it was so heavy and salty. Had they invested in higher quality prosciutto and included just two or three layers of it, it would have been a pretty good sandwich. I remember, outside the restaurant they said something along the lines of if someone ate a sandwich from Sandwich Society, he/she would not regret it like their EXs. But after having one, I experienced a certain degree of buyer's remorse. Remember, "we don't eat sandwiches because we are hungry. We eat sandwiches because we are members of a Foodie app called Yelp."

These guys have been consistently supplying delicious lamb sandwiches for at least 18 yrs now…read more. I've been going there since I lived in Oakville and any opportunity I can since I left in 2009. The lamb sandwich is unique and in its own category as I've never had anything like it from any other spot in the GTA. It contains slices of lamb meat in a big bun (I think it's ciabatta) with a vinaigrette sauce on the plate that's delicious to dip into. I also never go wrong with their Sunday brunch menu either.. from French toast to crepes to Omelettes, I just haven't ever been disappointed. This morning I tried their "strawberry hot chocolate " and honestly considered a second one. Also tried and enjoyed their Stoney''s Omelette that came with a big fat portion of egg, chorizo, tasty toast and potatoes. If going for the first time, I highly recommend to starting with their lamb

We arrived around 11am on a long weekend and they had plenty of tables available, but by the time we were leaving, all the tables were full. You need to order your food first and get seated after. They bring your order to you, but if you need a coffee refill, or milk and cream, you need to pick them up yourself at the station. Coffee refill was a challenge for us, since we had to go through all other tables and wait for the staff to refill our coffee, and even there were times they were out of milk and had to drink our coffee black. We ordered "Key West Eggs", "Crepe au Fraises", "Slow Roasted Lamb" and "Canadian Peameal Back Bacon". Our food was delicious and we would love to go back and try more of their menu items. Just expecting delays for our coffee this time. Lol

Not my first time @ Gladiator, but it was my first at this specific location (Oakville)…read more Spacious location, with lots of seating and ample parking. Tried some different items from the menu this time, and though I love the burgers and steak sandwiches (the better option over burgers IMO), this time I found the beef to be a little salty (it could be because of the cheese and other ingredients that have salt + the salt added in the patty itself) and the chicken tenders too bland. I also tried "Unleash my Hunger" which was amazing (with the mozzarella!). I have tried the pancake burger as well and loved the addition of guacamole. For the chicken tenders, when eaten with a burger, you won't be able to distinguish the taste since there's a lot of sauce inside the burger. However, when you eat the tender by itself, then you can taste the difference. Regardless, I still really enjoyed the tenders. The sweet potato fries and the onion rings were good. The milkshakes are also good, though the strawberry was a little sweet for me. I love the selection and the amount of variety in the burgers. I liked the addition of jalapeño poppers. There is a lot of different types of burgers and sandwiches to choose from, including a mix of beef and chicken in the sandwich. I also like that there's many side options. Would I go back? Yes. Owners and staff were friendly as well.

I liked a lot of things about it and there was nothing I didn't like particularly other than maybe the bottom bun was a little soggy. Kale slaw was an outrageous ripoff. $ 2.29 for a container that was way too small and they only filled it halfway. Picture shows overfill container of purple 'kaleslaw' you get itty bitty container of normal coleslaw mostly, half full. Tasted pretty good. 1 / 10. Burger just didn't taste that good. Meat seemed OK, sauce didn't taste right. Soggy buns, untoasted, just not that great. Wendys is way better. 6/10?. Paid a dollar for garlic aioli. Terrible. Tasted like miracle whip, sweet and nothing like garlic. I expect garlic aioli to taste like garlic. Very small container. Their steak sandwich looks great. Maybe stick to that and the chicken and you'll do alright.
