The wings was bland and I should have ask for them to fry them a little more crispy. The fried okra was good. Misters flounder fish was just OK. Now, will I visit again? Yes... They have a long list of flavors for the wings. I would come back to try more flavors and maybe their fried rice.

My dad is a barber and when I was growing up, there was a Corner Store next door to his barber shop. This old black man ran the store and he used to make the best cheese burgers. The only burger place that makes it very similar is Five Guys. After them is Wendy's. But, I really try not to support big cooperate businesses. So, I'm craving a big juicy burger and see this restaurant coming up in my GPS. I call and ask do they take orders over the phone. The lady said, yes. Ok, drop a green flag right here. In 2023 none of these businesses have Customer Service anymore. It's rare a restaurant will take my order over the phone. And I'm driving most of the time. I don't want to order food and drive. I order my cheeseburger and a lemonade. Made myself wait to get home and baby it was good! The patty was thick and not over cooked. I forgot to tell the woman I like my burgers medium but, this was wel done and not dry. It was sopping in Mayo. I don't know why but I loved it! I will definitely go back for my burger fix!

I believe labor violations are being committed here. But on to the food this particular franchise owner chose to go with the pigeon size wings many other restaurants are doing . Richard, the owner, always provides impeccable customer service, and serves up wings that are brined - meaning that you can tell that the wings have been cleaned thoroughly, where once you bite down to the bone, there's no odd or "raw" smell. The flavor that you choose essentially penetrates all the way down to the bone! i appreciate that! That being said, i'm admittedly not a fan of those flavors that have a thick sauce like honey bbq or sweet chili. My faves are the garlic pepper, lemon pepper, and honey lemon pepper as those tend to be a bit less saucy. The garlic pepper actually has a dry rub, which i appreciate. Overall, Wings Family is a solid spot to go to for chicken wings when you have a craving. My family and i frequent here about twice a month, usually on Friday nights when we don't feel like cooking. i must say that my mom really enjoyed their vegetable fried rice, and my kids really love the fried butterfly shrimp.
