Last night I was interacting with an employee name Carlos, the best customer service I have had in a while from wingstop. The food was fresh and hot. It was well season and just right. Carlos had a good attitude and he was immediately ready to help me when I walk in store. I have been to this wingstop years ago and I didnt have good service coming back this time it was awesome. I've never had a more confusing and frustrating experience at a Wingstop. We walked in expecting to place a simple order, only to be told the registers were closed and that we could ONLY order online. Since when does a walk-in restaurant not allow you to order in person? That alone made zero sense. When we tried to ask why, the employee couldn't even clearly answer the question--just kept repeating "online only." So what exactly is someone supposed to do if they don't have a phone, or can't access the app? Just... not eat? It's a ridiculous system and clearly not thought through. To make things even more uncomfortable, a couple of people--I am assuming that they were the owners--walked in out of uniform and went straight behind the counter. It honestly looked like random people walking into the kitchen, which is not exactly reassuring as a customer. Then suddenly, the registers were back open... so what was the issue to begin with? This Wing Stop is terrible, it smells like bleach when you walk in. The wings are pre cooked and sitting in baskets ready to be put in the fryer for who knows how long they been sitting there. It takes 16-18 minutes to cook fresh wings so why not just do that? I'm sure most will be ok with fresh wings that are freshly cooked, stop being lazy! read more

Then when I called I was told that they were in fact cooked "perfectly" because all of the current staff members were managers. For the price we paid both the wings and the service while trying to pickup our order was horrendous. First issue: The wings were so small and did not have a good portion of meat on them. We paid extra for all Drums and they did not adhere to that request, but we didn't realize that until we got home and opened the boxes. That's the biggest reason why we will NEVER go back to Wingstop. Overpriced for skinny chicken wings and they didn't give us what we paid for. Second issue was with the service. I specifically skipped the Pleasanton Wingstop because they don't listen to "well done" orders to drive to San Ramon to order my wings "well done" in person. I order them and it even says "well done" on the receipt. My buddies order who did not order well done and my order are done at the same time. Wings are soggy. I don't understand the inconsistency in Wingstop's wings. You don't get this with BWW or starbird. You can see how important the wings being well done is to me after my last review and it's not asking a lot. Wow this was an awful experience. I ordered a large order of wings, and as I started eating them a funny odor emerged. I paused and then noticed the chicken wing was disintegrating in my hand. As it fell apart the smell got worse and the inside was dark and foul. I felt so disgusted I didn't want to risk eating anymore. Here's a review for the only Wingstop location I've been to that holds the honor of gatekeeping their bathroom when it appears obviously designed for public use. I haven't even got my food yet but this location is garbage. Restaurant is dirty, and my son had to wedge a napkin under the leg of their bistro table to make it level. When he went inside to use the restroom to wash his hands he noticed that to the right of the obvious restroom sign on the door and below the handicap accessible sign was a smaller sign that reads 'employees only' and so he walked back out feeling confused. Incredulous, I walked in to ask whether he could use the restroom and the employee said it was for employees only. After I explained that my son needed to wash his hands after having to manage their dysfunctional table, she agreed to let him use it. Nonetheless I just can't wrap my mind around the absurdity to display public facing signage for a restroom that customers can't use, especially when Wingstop is a notoriously messy dining experience, and when their only offering to clean your hands is their trademark roll of brown paper pretending to be useful. It feels downright antagonistic. Out of principle I'll never come back to the San Ramon location, which is too bad because we love Wingstop! I've always liked Wingstop. My husband loves Wingstop. Actually, he loves chicken wings so that's probably why he loves it so much. The male supervisors here are always friendly. The women employees and owner's wife (?) definitely are not. If it wasn't for the male supervisors; I probably would not patronize this location. On my last visit, Omar was very nice and although it always seems to take 30 minutes for my order; he would update me on the status. When they first opened; they shorted me wings twice. We ordered a to go order of boneless chicken thigh pieces in the lemon pepper flavor which is one of my favorites and since it's been a long time I just want to eat something that I remember I liked. Also I ordered French fries. My boyfriend ordered traditional chicken wings with Korean barbecue flavor and Buffalo wings flavors. We took the food home to enjoy. Although the french fries look burnt, they were not crispy but they taste burnt. The lemon pepper chicken thigh best taste like chicharrones that don't have enough flavor Unless the flavor that you like is just the fried part. I will not order this again.
