Stand up place in my opinion. If there is any kind of issue they get it resolved. Thank you and the wings smell so good. Thank you.

Kahuna basically means "wise", and it would be a wise choice to try Big Kahuna out…read more I really like their namesake wings. Rather than toss them in sauce they coat them in a rub: Original, Fire, or Blazin. Blazin is a bit on the hot side for me but okay if tried separately. The rubs are so tasty you don't even need the sauces, but they are flavorful as well. My favorites so far are the spicy bleu cheese and the spicy garlic. I thought the sweet chili lime was a bit too watery and didn't love the cilantro lime ranch but I really haven't gone wrong yet. I wish I could go more often but Big Kahuna is on the pricier side as far as wings go, though the drum wings have a good amount of meat.

In the times we've waited as well as when we've ordered takeout, one observation is that typically the person(s) that are supposed to great those that order take out, are often busy chatting with restaurant patrons and others rather than being attentive to those waiting for their takeout orders. The food quality seems to be slipping. We've eaten at this location many times and while we can say that the sandwiches are decent, the boneless wings (Which we've ordered many times) are subpar at best. We've continued to apparently mistakenly give the wings a try and they get worse and worse as they are very overcooked time and time again. The last time we visited, both orders of boneless wings were super dry and rubbery. No amount of sauce can fix that. It was very unpleasant and our guest that we invited to dine with us and we purchased their meal, experienced the same low quality wings. It wasn't a good first impression. If we come back, we won't be ordering these ever again. Hoping the staff will make efforts to provide better quality food. We'll invest our discretionary money elsewhere when we want to enjoy an evening out.

Our server was most attentive and responsive to our needs. My wife had bacon wrapped burnt end and I had the teriyaki chicken with rice. We watched the seagulls, and other birds out the window and due to the cold, no boats came or went while we were there. Calhoun's is excellent for lunch meetings, birthdays, etc. I heartily recommend them anytime of the year.

The setting does half the work for you, but the food more than holds its own. The fried green tomatoes were the clear opener: crisp, well-seasoned, and properly balanced between tang and crunch--no excess grease, no filler. Exactly how the dish should be executed. The half smoked chicken followed, tender and deeply flavored, carrying a clean smoke that enhanced rather than overwhelmed. The okra was cooked with restraint, avoiding the common pitfalls of sogginess, while the fries arrived hot, golden, and assertively seasoned. This is relaxed waterfront dining with confidence--barbecue that knows what it's doing and doesn't feel the need to overexplain itself. A place worth trying

Well, today was the first time I've been there when they had smoked. I'm extremely picky about smoked sausages and always prefer Texas-style over anything else around here. Today they had a jalapeño cheese smoked sausage... and it was absolutely delicious. I can't even properly express how good it was. So if you're reading this right now -- stop what you're doing and go get one. You won't regret it. The pulled pork sandwich is consistently delicious and a staple for me--but today, the smoked sausage completely stole the show. Absolute standout.

First, I spotted a red food truck trailer, then massive smokers, and a woman chopping wood. Curiosity getting the better of me, I drove into the gravel driveway, which serves as the exit for pull up foundation of the business. As I stepped out of my truck, I was greeted by a friendly hello from Erin, the owner of Clean Smoked BBQ. She offered to help me and asked if they were open. I confirmed that they were, and she started telling me about their menu. They had everything except their Charro beans, which had sold out. Erin explained that Charro beans were one of their best dishes, featuring brisket burnt end beans, pinto beans, other meat I couldn't remember and a special sauce and seasonings that were rich with a hint of sweetness. I couldn't help but wish I could try them. I told Erin that I was definitely going to come back for them. I inquired about their tenure at the location, and they mentioned they'd been there for about two weeks. They were relocating from their Hardin location. The couple, Joe and his wife Erin , have high hopes for their new spot. The menu will feature daily rotations, with new items added as they gain popularity. One exciting addition they'll be introducing this Saturday is live music. They'll have an array of smoked meats, including turkey, chicken, wings, beef, pork brisket, and more. The aroma is intoxicating, and my wife and I couldn't resist trying three tacos. She opted for chicken brisket and pulled pork, each served on a hand made flour tortilla with pickle red onions and fresh cilantro. I chose the dry rub smoked chicken wings with sauce on the side. Both the dry rub and sauce were handmade. The wing sauce had a unique heat element that hit you immediately but then faded, leaving a wonder bite of acid finishing the complexity of the sauce. The dry rub was a well-balanced seasoning that made these incredibly crispy, moist, Smokey wings a staple choice for the future visits. We also had to try the Mexican rice, which was the perfect Mexican rice. It was topped with fresh grated cheese and cilantro. The rice was cooked to perfection, achieving an orange color as expected and being moist with a light and fluffy balance on your palate.A major takeaway from this barbecue was that the smoke was clean and distinct. You could taste it, but it wasn't heavy or lingering on the meat. It seemed to be an integral part of the meat's natural flavor. Most of their preparation, except for their barbecue, is done at the Amaryllis Taqueria, which they also own. If this food truck is a representation of the quality and taste of food at Amaryllis Taqueria, we're definitely going there soon. We're supporting this place for their enthusiasm, creativity, and most importantly, their barbecue. You won't be disappointed.
