We are new to Maryvile, but we've already eaten at the Blue Dragon several times. The food is good and fresh and the staff is very helpful. It's a small restaurant, only a few tables, and they really seem to appreciate their guests. read more

Food is good. Pricing is fair. I tried the lo mein chicken and fried rice chicken. My husband had the soup and wontons. Not the best we've had but not the worst. I will say for Seasame chicken, there were NO sesames! Menu isn't super big but has the main things. read more

My wife and I tried this restaurant today and it was great. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. The food was served very fresh and hot. The portion size is just right not too little and not too much. We will definitely be coming back again. read more

Blue Dragon - General Tso shrimp, fried rice, shrimp wantons. - Chinese Near Me - Maryville, Tennessee

This has become our go to take out restaurant. Their general tso chicken is the best, as well as their hot and sour soup. I would recommend to anyone for their lazy chill night. read more

We love this spot and eat here often. Best Chinese food in the area. We love the sweet and sour soup, orange chicken, and general Taos chicken. read more

The first thing you notice is the incredible noise. . Everything echoes off the walls. I could not carry on a conversation with my wife without leaning over the table. The lunch portions (pictured) were perfect. My wife ordered the Sweet and Sour chicken which was quite tasty. I ordered Kung Pao chicken which was described as being served in a spicy sauce and Hot and Sour Soup. Though the soup was served hot it was however not at all hot. Nor was the Kung Pao. I have seen good things about the chicken wings so I may be inclined to try those. read more

Simple place- nothing fancy for dining in, for sure. Take-out was decent but nothing better or worse than most any other Chinese place. Menu is a bit odd-- it's like a cross between "hibachi" restaurants and basic Chinese. For example, they list various well-known sauce types then you pick whatever met you want with that sauce. So rather than listing more traditional Chinese dishes, they list a sauce, you pick the meat. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special. Food was OK, 3 stars. read more

Love this place. Great family owned business with incredible food. The Mongolian Beef is the absolute best. The biggest surprise is the Wings. Best Wings in all of Blount County. read more

Food was quick and taste great. Had the General TSO and a cup of hot and sour soup. Wish it was closer to where I live so I could order regularly. read more

It was too oily and didn't taste like Chinese to be honest. Unfortunately as nice as the staff were I probably won't go back.

First time eating from there and found a hair. I get it, accidents happen. But the food quality really was not that great. Lo Mein tasted sweet and like spaghetti, chicken fried rice was okay, just not impressed. We thought originally the hair could have been mine because I have short black hair, but when we tried to move it we realized it was cooked into the breading. read more

Blue Dragon - Pad Thai, came with lime and peanuts. - Chinese Near Me - Maryville, Tennessee

Tried someplace new for take out food. I ordered a couple of appetizers- pork pot stickers and chicken on a stick, chicken lettuce wraps. Of those, the chicken on a stick was really dry , the chicken lettuce wrap had a teriyaki sauce but again the chicken was dry, and my steamed pot stickers (aka dumplings) had no seasoning. The dipping sauce was really just soy sauce as far as flavor goes. My entree of chicken lo mein was okay. Still in need of more seasoning. It wasn't terrible but, for me, there are much better restaurants with more powerful flavors. read more

First time there today. The person who gave me my order was nice but kept smirking and giggling. He did have his gold chain stuck to his chin, felt like someone bet him to see if anyone would say something. I didnt. Got home and all the sauce was at the bottom of my bag yet the container was closed. The fried rice tasted old ( very dry) as I was eating I crunched something and found this in my food. The meat and vegetables tasted delicious until I crunched yet again. Threw the whole thing in the trash. Not a good first experience. Will not be back. read more

Blue Dragon - Some kind of gravel??? - Chinese Near Me - Maryville, Tennessee

Well, the ambience is not real inviting the food. It was really a treat. I've been there several times and each time it's been delicious. I highly recommend the pad Thai, both the vegetable and or the chicken, the lettuce wraps are great. Their portion sizes are crazy big you'll have plenty of leftovers! Great job Blue Dragon! We love you read more

I ordered "curry fried rice". Before I got my order, they asked me what kind of rice I wanted. I said fried rice, because that is what I had already ordered. The sauce and shrimp were to the right of the rice. I had figured they would be mixed in. They weren't. The rice was average; the sauce was definitely not curry. It was fine. This is definitely an Americanized Chinese place. Definitely not authentic. But, it's OK. Just another in the long line of average to mediocre places to eat in East Tennessee. read more

Don't be deceived by the humble building, Blue Dragon delivers incredible tasting fresh food at great prices. I try something new every time I visit and have yet to be disappointed. Their portions are also quite generous and end up being several meals for me. Definitely give them a shot. read more

Very disappointed with our visit. I had high hopes, as this place had good reviews on Google, but our first visit will be our last. It was $70 for: 1 chicken pad thai, 1 sweet and sour chicken, 1 general tso chicken with white rice, 1 Sesame chicken with lo mein, and 1 order of pork dumplings. $70 is definitely on the higher end, but considering the food we received, $70 is outrageous. The service was okay. She got my order wrong initially, but that probably could have been avoided if she had just written down our orders, instead of trying to memorize them. To be blunt, the food was not good. There was not a single thing that I would recommend. *The dumplings tasted like they had been frozen & microwaved. Tons of cabbage. *The sesame's chicken had only a few pieces of Sesame in it and it had a "sweet and sour/orange chicken" flavor. It didn't taste like sesame chicken at all. It was very stringy chicken. *The general tso chicken was weirdly shaped and didn't have much breading or the traditional sauce. The white rice was pretty average. *The sweet and sour chicken was tough. It's served with a lot of pineapple and bell pepper/onion (that's not really a critique, but take note if you have an allergy or are anti-pineapple/onion/pepper.) *The pad thai was average. Nothing bad to say about it but nothing great to say about it either. *The most disappointing food was the lo mein. It was horrid. I swear to God- I am 99% sure they used just regular spaghetti noodles. The noodles were too soft and didn't have the tooth that normal lo mein has. The sauce tasted like straight soy sauce with a mushroom flavor. It was watery. Lo Mein shouldn't be watery. And before you roll your eyes at me, just give me the benefit of the doubt and look at the picture and then if you disagree you can judge me. I scooped the noodles into the box so you could see how much liquid was sloshing around. I really wanted to like this place. But no dice. Onward and upward read more

My wife and I had lunch here yesterday. We both enjoyed it. The food and the service was great. We will be back.

Best place to eat .... Customer service is top tier. Good is always fresh , and they are very quick.

Ordered Egg Drop Soup and Hot Sour Soup to try for first time. The Hot Sour tasted like a restaurant soup base with vinegar added to make it sour. The Egg Drop soup was brown, it did have a lot of egg which was nice but zero flavor. The Sesame Chicken had good flavor but they gave us no sauce to pour on it and we had to spend two minutes mixing and stirring to coat the chicken with the Tablespoon of sauce on the bottom. There were no garnish or vegetables, just chicken and rice. It looked nothing like the other photos in yelp, that show a rich glaze and lots of veggies. I ordered Steamed Chicken but it only comes with broccoli, carrot and onion. NO CHINESE VEGETABLES AT ALL! No cabbage, no water chestnut, no mushroom no bamboo shoots and no little corns. The staff were very nice but after our experience with the food, I will not be ordering again. Too bad! read more

Very good food. I ordered it on Door Dash so can't rate the friendliness or the service

This is the best Asian food in town by far. Always fresh made, even when getting pick up.

It's a small place with only four tables. It was nice and clean and didn't have a menu above the counter like most cheap Chinese restaurants. I had the Kung Pao lunch special. One of the best I've ever had. There are so many versions of Kung Pao. This was amazing. I noticed a lot of take out traffic. Must be popular and I can understand why. read more

Definitely a great dig. Portions are impressive and I really enjoyed the Mongolian beef and fried rice I had. Already gone back. The building is unassuming but its a great spot! I have many allergies and they were able to easily accommodate me and my friends, who also have allergies. The food was great, the portions were large and the prices were reasonable. We ate inside, but many people came and picked up for dine-out. We asked for less spice and that's what we received. The service was prompt and courteous. We will all be back again. Thank you for a good lunch. read more

The dining room is clean with excellent service. My food was the best Chinese I've had in Maryville.

zero stars. since when is egg drop soup brown? I couldn't even try it. the "fried rice" was white soft rice in soy sauce. so gross.

The place was very neat and clean. Our food was very tasty. We got pad Thai with chicken and Mongolian chicken with a request to be spicy. Portions were big and the server was pleasant and courteous. They also have various sauces for wings but we didn't try those. We will go back. read more

So far, their food has been great. LOVE the dumplings. Their hot and sour soup could use a little more hot, but I am sure they have Americanized it so people won't complain. read more
