Food was typical for Asian food in this area. The buffet is very small, the egg rolls were good but everything else was lacking spice.

Three stars means you think it's OK. I'd go for 3.5 if that were an option, because this place is OK and CHEAP. Lunch buffet is under $7. It is a small buffet and the quality is, well, American buffet quality but if you show some care and discernment you can have a very filling and somewhat decent meal for a low price. I do like that they have ice cream available for dessert, as well. To say the food in the buffet is good would be an injustice to the billions of Chinese in the world who are proud of their cuisine. But for an American buffet it's good enough and cheap. Enough said. read more

I don't live in Maryville but was there for the day. I pre-ordered, but was disappointed when I arrived and saw that it was a buffet. I wanted to cancel but knew they were already cooking the food. So glad I didn't. It was really good food (Hunan shrimp & kp shrimp). But while waiting I heard a crash. I looked to see three teenagers had knocked the silverware container off of the buffet. Instead of offering to help, they laughed. Yes, it was a one-person job, but there was no "I'm sorry" or any offer to help. It was on June 19th around 12:30, just in case it was your teenager! I'm so confused. If you want Chinese that gives good portions, but don't really mind what it tastes like, this is your place. Everything I ordered was in great quantity, but was probably the worst tasting or bland version of itself I've ever had. The steamed rice tasted normal at least. Mongolian Beef extra spicy? No flavor or spice at all. Egg Roll? Bland and tasted weird. Veggie Lo mein? What is this? It was like Chinese take out in another dimension. Do yourself a favor and pass. read more

Food is typical but if you're hungry and craving Chinese this is the perfect little restaurant. Service is always good, I'm pretty she's the owner but she's always very nice and quick. Kinda cold environment but hey you're there to eat right? Don't go around 3-4pm food isn't all that fresh, eat from 11am-2:30pm or 4-7pm, trust me I go there a lot. read more

Small no frills Chinese restaurant. Amply stocked lunch buffet that was being kept fresh. About 70% capacity at lunch with repeat customers. Stir-fried items on the buffet were fresher than the fried items but everything was acceptable. Good beef and broccoli since the meat was good quality and plentiful. Really didn't like having to eat off cheap, flimsy Styrofoam plates with plastic ware and drinks in Solo cups. Seems costly and really wasteful and diminishes the atmosphere even further. Every time we decide to go enjoy this place, I wonder why there aren't more people there ...cause it's good! The variety is awesome, and I always look forward to enjoying the hand dipped ice cream. For the price, you cannot do better in this area. If decor and ambiance is what you're looking for - it's maybe not the place for you. The atmosphere is a little dated, but it's always clean and the friendly staff is by to refill drinks or clear plates on frequent intervals. I love the hot 'n sour soup, chicken wings, the ice cream, the pastries, and always shake my head when the bill comes. Be sure to leave a good tip because you are definitely getting more than what you pay for. read more

We are new to this area and we've been looking for really good Chinese food for a while. Tonight we decided to order in, and Peking was the first option that came up in the Door Dash app. This was by far the best Chinese food we have had in a loooong time! The hot and sour soup had the perfect balance of spice and tang; the crab rangoon was wrapped in a thin and crispy pastry (not that doughy, chewy cardboard you get in some places); the shrimp broccoli and the beef broccoli were both divine, with fresh just-right broccoli and delicious sauces in both entrees. I have been going here since I was a kid, and don't get me wrong places like this can be a little unsettling to begin with for some but overall the establishment was good enough to return several times. That is until I recently visited the location and the manager/ owner accidentally overcharged me $70 dollars more than the price of my food. Not only was she unable to communicate with me fully on a guaranteed refund, she made me wait a full weekend and I was told, "Come back and I refund you in cash." So I returned due to my card not only missing my refunded money, my account was in the negative due to her mistakes and she continued to tell me to wait longer and basically said (I quote) "Maybe I pay you, maybe card pay you. I don't know. Sorry." And just giggled at me and pretty much finished our conversation... NOT only will I never be back here again, I want more businesses like this one to be aware how unprofessional it is to act as if they are not at fault for mishaps like this and to reevaluate their work ethic. The fact this business serves food and has a basket of assorted chapsticks for sale at the counter should have honestly made me come to my senses sooner. Went here for my birthday lunch with my mom and 5 year old daughter. My daughter had a kids meal so she didn't eat Chinese with us. We was finishing up and I had two small doughnuts on my plate. My daughter got one from my plate and started to eat it. The manger women sent the waitress over to tell us "If your child continues to eat from the bar you will be charged full price for her." Are you joking?! People waste more food then just a small sugared doughnut. I will not be back and I've been going for years. Keep your doughnuts. Good bye Peking! read more

My wife went there last night, food was cold, some of the patrons wasn't wearing masks at the food bar, not wearing gloves when scooping food, later in the night she started to not feel well. This place is awesome , food is great , price is right . I literally eat here everyday (well except for Monday because they are closed) Dont go there expecting Wasabis(somewhere fancy). The best time to go is when they are opening , or in the evening when everything is is being cooked again. The service is always great , they remember reoccurring customers, and is always nice and pleasant. (SideNote : order your food , if you feel the buffet has been sitting. Crab Rangoon tasted like they were cooked in burnt oil, and salty, portions were okay. Kinda disappointed.

You can never get a better buffet at this price. The food is good - maybe a little bit heavy and too much calories but it's indeed tasteful. It's not traditional Peking food though. read more

The food is either a hit or tremendous miss, and that all depends on what time of the day you arrive. If you go just for the buffet, it's best to go right when they open as the food is fresh for the lunch rush but if you go in the afternoon, moreso after 1pm, most of the food on the buffet is still from the opening lunch rush and hasn't been replaced. More times than not, I always order food to go and it's decent. Don't expect top quality for what you pay for here. It's cheap for a reason but I can get a more filling meal for the same price here than at any fast food restaurant in the area. I've never had any issues ordering food to go, although my only minor complaint is that for the rice, they simply take it off the buffet line and put it in a to go container rather than making some fresh for the order. Because of that, it can be pretty dry at times but it's nothing a little soy sauce can't fix. read more

When the food is fresh, it's not bad. Not good, mind you, but it's calories. When it's been sitting on the buffet, it's a gelid mess. They don't let you know they use msg like it's crack. Was hungry for Chinese stopped in at Peking. Went through Drive thru. A lady took my order. I ordered several things. I stated no peas in my rice, she said OK. She came back and stated we are out of sweet and sour pork. I said OK. She came back to the window 5 minutes later and said, you still want your other stuff? I said yes. She then said my bill was 19.40 I paid her. When she came back to the window I asked can I have my drink? She said oh, ok. She then came back to the window and stated, I didn't charge you for your drink. So, I paid her for that. Waited another 5 minutes and she came to the window with my food. I asked her, did you make sure their are no peas in my rice? She said no I did not. She stated I'm only one person, I stated to her you should write down orders if you can't remember them. She asked the owner and they made me a new one. I drove away. I was hungry so I ate a crab Rangoon. It was absolutely disgusting. Only cream cheese. So, when I got home I opened the food, and the lo-mien tasted like top Raman. It was like they used the seasoning packets and noodles from the package. I threw it out.
