I drove past this place for ages and finally tried it for the first time this fall. The first thing I tried was the loaded tender fries combo. I love this type of dish and I wasn't disappointed. Everything had great flavor and it was filling for the price. I ordered my husband a chicken sandwich and he said he enjoyed it but that the meat was a little bit dry. It took awhile for the meal to be made, but it was nice because everything was made fresh to order. On another visit I was picking up food on the way to somewhere else so I was in a bit of a rush. I pre-ordered for a set time and when I got there, they hadn't even started preparing the order. It was frustrating because there was a reason I ordered for a specific time. One other time, the order was ready at the pick up time specified but I was glad I checked before leaving because we were missing two items. They gladly and easily fixed the issue, but it was frustrating that they didn't double check. One thing to note is that their bathroom is on a lower level, so if you have mobility issues, you might not be able to access the restroom while you are there. Check their facebook page and online for coupons. They often have buy one get ones on chicken tenders and often have daily specials that save a decent amount.

Very solid place for chicken. There's nothing too crazy about this place in terms of flavor, and…read morethe menu is a little limited, but the food is good for the price. I got to try out their mild chicken sandwich with pickles. The sandwich was alright. The pickles made the sandwich somewhat soggy but it was still decent in flavor. The bread is kind of wimpy as well. The chicken itself, though was good. Well cooked (also kind of soggy due to the pickles though). Not a ton of flavor, but not bad. The main selling point of this place, I think, is the price. The sandwich was just $5. That's fast food restaurant kind of prices from a local shop, which is really nice. It is a decent sandwich, and a great price. All in all, a fine chicken place. I would come here if I want some cheap and quick food, not anything too special.

Fun space and location. We came on a Friday night and was a little surprised to find a fairly empty bar. Thankfully for them, their liquor license is in the final approval stages and will help increase business. Until then, they do have a nice variety of complimentary alcoholic beverages to choose from. Menu is not overwhelming, which is a good thing. My smashburger was very good. Our server was very friendly and shared a few interesting facts about the reference for 1888. 1888 is the year the city of Jeannette was founded. Nice touch. We plan to return during football season to catch a few games on the large TV screens.

It is bar food but it is a couple notches above regular bar food. They have enough seating for larger parties or small parties. Parking is a bit challenging. Nice selection of beers, seltzer, and malt beverages. They have some really good deserts too. Would recommend this to everyone. The only problem is that it is about 30 minutes from our home...but we drive it anyway because we are treated nice, we have a great time and the food and libations are above the norm. Out it on your restaurant bucket list!

It's been here as long as I've lived in the area, and I've driven by it countless times (parking lot is always buzzing), but didn't decide to stop by until quarantine 2020 hit. We're not big drinkers in my family, so we don't find ourselves wanting to sit in a smoky bar to eat a meal. We enjoy takeout, so it made sense to try the food when we did. I'm a HUGE fan of beer-battered fish, and got word of them having this every Friday (even outside of Lent, which is hard to come by)--I'm in! For $13 I got a ginormous beer-battered piece of fish on a soft roll, slaw, and fries. It was a soft fluffy batter, which normally wouldn't be my first choice (I'm all about that crispy beer batter), but it was delicious! I've ordered it a few times and it's been consistently fresh and yummy each time. My husband has ordered a few different sandwiches, and has been pleased with everything. Nothing has been knock-your-socks-off amazing, but they have solid food at great prices. I love that you can pull around the back of the building to pick up your food, separate from the bar entrance. Nothing is more awkward than hanging around a bar alone, screaming across a noisy counter, waiting for some poor bartender to stop serving drinks to check on your food order. You can avoid all that here! They take cash and credit, and get fairly busy early on the weekend. If we want to eat by 5:30, we usually order at least an hour in advance. Final note: Owned by a local family. I love supporting anything that isn't a chain, so I'll keep coming back. Even when things started getting rough this spring for small businesses (and bars in general), I've seen nothing but upbeat, positive posts from the owners on Facebook.

I realize that some people will seek out a place they can smoke inside, I just avoid smoking bars like the plague. I didn't know prior to arrival it was permitted. They do have a pretty nice ventilation system over the bar that makes it less noticeable while you are inside- but I still smelled like an old bowling alley when I got home. The food was pretty decent for bar food. I'd suggest their soups, wings, and quesadillas- the nachos left a lot to be desired. Service was pretty decent as well. It took a while to be greeted since we sat at a table and not the bar- but to be fair, the bartender was the only one serving, and when she made it over she did a great job (even though we weren't drinking, which I know is a pet peeve of bartenders). The cook also came out and asked us and the table behind us if everything was good-I thought that was pretty nice. I don't live close, but if the bar became non-smoking, I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
