If you have never had a Korean Corn Dog (KCD), this is the place to change that. The last few years…read morehave seen an influx of food trucks doing Korean Friend Chicken. Few of those trucks do the dogs but at Clucking Dog you get the best of both these worlds. At first blush, the KCD is a corn dog who has been working out. Bigger than the traditional American State Fair fried food favorite, KCDs are distinct with the core potentially being cheese versus a beef dog. The differences do not stop there. Batters are commonly potato and, a first for me, Ramen!!!. Then there's the outside. My favorite is the brightly hued, orange dusted exterior, perfect for an Oregon State Beaver-lover to wave. This cheeto-dust helps add another snack favorite to the mix. We went with the all cheese, Ramen, and cheetos dusted treat. Our KCD was perfectly done. The crunch of the outside gives way to the warm ooze of the cheese. The temperature was just right allowing the elasticity of the cheese to stretch and give, expanding to a near two foot long tightrope from mouth to bitten dog. This was a tasty dog and was better than the KCDs I have had in Los Angeles. Do not forgot to add KFC to the mix. The chicken (I had the 5 piece) was a perfect balance to the dog. Once more, it was some of the best KFC I have eaten. Crunch or the outside, tender meat on the inside coming easily of the bone, the juices trapped in the crust waiting to be released on your bite. As a savory lover, the garlic breath was the right sauce, soy, sweet, garlic, brushed on to not drown but highlight the crunch and flavor of chicken.

The staff saw me and remained in the back of the truck as I stood there for 3 minutes. I ended up not spending any money at the barn and went to subway across the street instead. The food is excellent here, I just wish I could have gotten some.

I had a chicken sandwich with tavern cheese on a pretzel bun. It came with jalepeno's which offered a subtle kick. I got mozzarella sticks with a sweet and spicy Sriracha sauce. The staff recommended it to me and it was great. The prickly pear tea is money. I can't wait to go back.

Interesting spot, ample parking in a huge plaza but also there's a small drive-thru. Service was…read morefriendly and they were very patient, though the chicken leaves a bit to be desired because it was dry all around. Definitely a spot where more sauce is better. Mac N Cheese Chicken - to start, the mac was deliciously cheesy, creamy, and plentiful. Great side for an order! Chopped chicken tenders however, were on the drier end. Still edible without a bev, but combining with the mac really helped. I'd be skeptical of the chicken tenders given this experience. BBQ Wings - these were more dry, both inside and out. Chicken wasn't as tender as some fast food spots. BBQ sauce was very light, almost like a dry rub. Sauce did not save the dry wings, bev appreciated if ordering this but also would skip. Dragonfruit Wings - while the chicken was on the drier side, the dragonfruit sauce made up for it. It's a sweeter sauce that doesn't taste much like dragonfruit, which admittedly is mild in flavor, but has the essence of fruit. They use more dragonfruit sauce than the BBQ as called out above, which helps a ton but the wings still lack the juiciness which is unfortunate.

I asked if they needed my name and was told by the hostess "no." I thought it was a little weird, but went with it. My coworker arrived first and he said reservations for 5. They asked him for a name! Haha, he said they looked at him like he was crazy. So that was weird. Otherwise, once we all arrived, the service was very friendly and attentive. Ambiance - it was open and had a mix of high top tables, low top, and bar seating. When it's busy, it's quite noisy. Not a place you can really carry a long conversation. I did notice there was a loft area that looks like a private party/gathering could be held. Once everyone left after the lunch rush, it was much quieter. Food - Yum! We started with the lemon pepper wings, which were recommended by our wait staff. The worst thing with wings are when they are dry and jerky like. This was not the case at Loafers. The wings were piping hot when they came out. Too hot to eat immediately. Once you got into the meat of the wings, it was moist. The lemon pepper flavor was great. Citrusy and peppery, not too salty. The wings came with baby carrots and celery sticks. I got the Buddha bowl which includes Rice, carrots, purple cabbage, avocado, sesame seeds, micro cilantro, mung bean sprouts, watermelon radish & peanut sauce and added seared ahi. I requested no rice and the waitress said it would be nothing if I don't get the rice, so she suggested getting salad. The bowl was massive. I'm not sure I needed the salad. It was really filling and the tuna was delicious. I felt the peanut sauce was a bit salty so I barely used it. Tuna has a pepper crust, so it was also flavorful. Overall, happy with our experience there for our team lunch.

Service was quick despite the full dining room, and the menu selection was expansive. Lots too choose from, although a bit on the pricier side. Portion sizes decent, but appearance and taste were absolutely fantastic! Would come again if friends/family visited, but not an every week type of place. Changing table available in one of the restrooms, high chairs available, although loud environment can be distracting for some babies. Overall good experience!
